I have been wanting to give Resto druid and 4 vengeance demon hunters a try. Even though they heal for quite a bit I think they would still needed some kind of dedicated healer. They are getting some nice buffs in 7.1.5
I'm leveling a 4x vengeance DH's with a protection Pally and it seems like a fun group so far. Currently level 103 and did a blind run of Normal Halls of Valor at 100 and did well despite not playing through that dungeon before. I lead with the pally and healed using Hand of the Protector and Flash Heal via the cool Healium addon. I had a couple of wipes on the trash packs due to my inexperience with melee teams and the dungeon, but I one shot all of the bosses at least. ;)
Fun group and should be even better after the 7.1 patch. I will either swap out the pally or a DH for a resto druid if I end up needing more healing in heroics and mythics.
I'm not sure if 5x DH's will be able to sufficiently heal themselves in fights that require a lot of movement if you aren't able to keep attacking the target. I gave the Prot pally a try since Xeneres has had such good success with a prot pally healing his 4x DK team.
The vengeance DHS are great as long as you make use of taunt swap and proper use of there metamorph button. the procs from the artifact tree really do make them shine the deeper into the artifact you go. My personal thing i love about them though is the fact i can double tap their jump key and it moves them directly on the other side of the boss and they continue fighting.... makes getting out of bad stuff so much easier.
Also, the new GTAE conditionals makes managing their sigils and the jump/slam easy to manage( cant remember ability name ).
What buffs in 7.1 are you talking about btw?
I've been wanting to level my other 4DH they are a fun class. i think i got plenty of rested XP
Sorry I meant to say 7.1.5 buffs. DHs are getting a few quality of life and slight buffs to some of their mitigation and self-healing/absorbs.Quote:

i play a disc priest and 4x vengeance demon hunters.. its actually a pretty powerful group.. i use my holy artifact for the really tough fights.. but for mythics they have so much aoe damage and the taunt rotation that they just tear through stuff...
the weakest part is their single target damage... it can really hurt ya if your in a rush or on a timed run.
Im still gearing mine up..but i have done Mythic DHT with 5 Vengeance DHs. ( i did not do the dragon, I was just at starting item lvl for mythics ) They have damn good self healing! It sounds like they are getting buffed in the upcoming patch as well ( more healing/mitigation and dps )
I just made a team of DH tanks and they're fun. Running them individually through the Exodar and Stormheim was brutal, but now that I have that annoyance out of the way, I'm really looking forward to doing some dungeons with them.
Any tips? What's a good gear level to have for normals, while leveling?
These guys ( both specs ) got some nice buffs! I cant wait to try them out!
Just finished normal Halls of Valor on my 5x DH team. It was a bit of a rough go but survived and dinged 103 during the run. Now that I know how to handle these mechanics with the team it will be better for sure.
Serpentix wrecked me; I think my team got him to 70% and then the weird mechanics got us. That might be one I have to wait until 110 and just outgear I guess.Quote:

5 veng DHs was the first team I leveled. I have completed all Mythics on them aside from Eye of Azshara and Neltharion's Lair. I haven't really been pushing on them, however. Karazhan is a bit more difficult, but I can do Wikket/Beautiful Beast. But Westfall Story has eluded me for now. Also managed to do Attumen the Huntsman. As for Mythic+ I did Maw of Souls +1. Again, not really been pushing anything on them. Fun Team to play though and the visuals are great. World PvP is fun enough and you're basically invincible once you press metamorphosis. Mark of the Illidari is quite powerful too. It almost acts as an instagib mechanic x5.
Don't suppose you could show your macros please. Just considering a 4 x DH and prot pally/druid combo, all help appreciated :)Quote:

yeah i love the smart cast they implemented. i just recently found out about it a few weeks ago and it makes my life so much easier with most of my spells...
i use the @player tag for Meta and sigils. i also have 1 keybind i use on the main demon hunter with the @cursor tag so i can quickly move the IWT team out of bad stuff just by chaining mobs to another location easily.
So rerolled to another server some Demonhunter but to do so I needed 70s on that server. Doh so I created some druids (could have created so DKs might have been faster) .Then at 70 I went to create some Demon hunters but all i get is "creation of that type of character is currently throtted"
why? I got that. no idea
I came back after work to try again and it allowed me to create two, then this morning I could create another two, and now im just waiting for the 5th but its so annoying. .
Wonder why they would throttle that. People re-rolling constantly to try different stuff?

I got the same thing and had to create my 5 DH in two days. Gamemaster confirmed that I had to wait, he might also have done something to unlock the situation so I would suggest to open a ticket and retry in 24h.
Edit: I read a bit too fast, you were able to create 2 DH then 2 more the following day. Yeah, that's expected behavior, unfortunately.
My inner demon observes that there are times when I'd like to see them start banning entire IP subnets or providers where the bots operate. Piss off enough people on the same subnet and those "neighbors" would take action by moving to another subnet (forcing the ISP that provides for the botters to police their own) or seeking other remedies against these malefactors.Quote:

Yeah they added it on January if I remember correctly.
