Garrisons and Shadowmournes. Using RAF I have one of each class on each of my five accounts, the attached server is full of death knights that I granted levels to. I run those DKs through ICC every week, a couple per week. I take a pair of locks for the initial SM quest stuff, to get them through blood queen. I then run them with a Hunter afterward (my Hunters all have Jaina's portal item), so my AH alt always has a couple of mounts, etc ready to sell.
With my "main server" guys, I do garrison stuff for gold. Gold missions take a few minutes per day while boxing. I have switched everyone to Tailoring + another profession. I make bags, those still sell well. But also, they'll sell nicely once Legion drops and everyone's wanting bags for their Demon Hunters. I also run the Inscription Hut, I do the daily and keep work orders on it. Once per week I make cards and flip them. I send the daily tickets from the Scribe hut to my AH alt to combine and vendor.
Additionally, you might want to run the JC hut, but I find it's just not worth it half the time. Unless it's Ore or gem cuts, the return isn't good enough to bother. Trader's building is also a must, get the Fur for bags, or Dust to sell on the AH while the selling is good. Herbs have dropped a lot, so I generally just buy a boatload cheap and mass mill them. Salvage Yard is also necessary, those crates are still generating a decent amount of cash.
Coincidentally, these things are still going to be generating gold in Legion, missions won't have gold coming from them. BUT you'll still be getting resources that can be traded in for gold from the Trading Post (the sacks).
There's also the Cata raids, those are decently lucrative but I haven't been bothering with those since I got in Alpha and had less time to play live.
Well, currently there are multiple things that can make you gold fairly easily. Here are some of the ones that have been lucrative for me. Word of warning though: It is worth noting that the expansion is drawing to a close and most likely the demand for the mats I farm will drop, dragging the prices down with it.
1. Cataclysm Raid Runs
The gold the bosses drops is based on the difficulty and raid size setting and the number of characters in the raid instance. On 25HC this is around 125g per toon + loot items (I would say the average is about 80g of vendor value). So, for example a 5-box would earn about 700g per boss. With a total of 27 bosses available this would mean about 19k from the bosses + whatever you pick up from trash mobs. Other raid tiers do not drop nearly as much gold, and I would assume this will get nerfed eventually as well.
2. Barns
A building in your garrison that allows you to go trap beasts that you then use for workorders that give leather/fur and savage bloods. As you can trap for a party of 5 at the same time (1 trapped beast = 5 toons get "tokens"), this scales nicely for multiboxers. Also the active time to keep the work orders rolling is fairly low. I do these on 2x teams of 10, and I still average about 40k every 4 days.
3. Felblight
Personally I'm not aware of any very good way of farming it, but killing Supreme Lord Kazzak weekly will net you 10 felblight per character on average. Depending the realm these go for a decent price. On my realm they go for about 80g each (2x10x10x80=16000g per week).
4. Tanaan Rep Tokens
The 4 rares in Tanaan Jungle (Deathtalon, Doomroller, Terrorfist and Vengeance) have about a 10% chance to drop a rep token called Medallion of The Legion. On my realm these go for around 3-4k each (used to go for like 15k... good times). I've spent a few lazy Sundays camping the spawns and I can usually catch all 4 in about 2 hours while watching Netflix.
5. Pet Farming
There are absolutely loads of battle pets in the game that go for absurd amounts of gold. Some are harder to obtain and some are silly easy for their price.
6. Boosting
Yes, yes, we know... No one likes the boxer booster. But if you can get someone to pay you 100k gold for a boost in Colosseum. It might be hard to pass up. *Wink* *Wink*

Heard that gold cap in legion is going up. So I assume that will be the price. If not close to it.
The spider mount isn't meant for the average player, just as raid mounts and PVP mounts are meant for average players either. They require some sort of concerted effort. This one just requires you be someone who's focused on making gold. I still think it should've been a Cow with a "Cash Cow" achievement. But I'll take it.
Speaking of, I need to get a few more wins in 3's for that 100 wins in 3v3 arena mount thing. I forget which mount they are offering this season. If any...
I've gotta get to farming the Nemesis titles. I think I'm going to boost a couple on Horde using my old Paladin and a couple of spare accounts I've got for it, WoD is down to $10 now so perfect timing.
What characters are you using to 3 box? I'm probably not going to 5 box until Legion at least, so I'm thinking of 3 boxing, but don't know what would be best.Quote:

Just to be clear, I agree that the Mad Merchant isn't going to serve as a very effective gold sink. But that's because he isn't intended to be one in any meaningful sense. Gold sinks, in an MMO economic sense, are primarily things like repair costs, the Auction House tariff, and a range of useful expensive items that still fall within the price range of many guild banks and gold-rich players. In this case, a handful of very wealthy players may dump a large portion of their gold reserves into this one vendor, but that's ultimately a blip in the grand scheme of the WoW economy.Quote:

Not more than an hour a day, one day two hours or so. I would take one day a week to farm enough to fill orders for the week on each team.. that took about two hours or so. I would only log in about every two days to keep my orders full. And Tuesday I would tag Kaz on all my toons..when I'm done with that, i gather all the mats i had earned and put them on the auction.Quote:

The blood and the fur..I have not done it for a month or so.. maybe someone who still is can confirm
I just sold a stack of 150 savage blood for 8k and it sold in just a couple minutes. Price is down a bit but they always sell and always sell quickly.
I have a total of 10 barns, I mix them up between leather, fur, and food. I gather the resources on different days so as not to overload the AH with any one particular material but its probably unnecessary as they always sell.
I"ll chime in and say that if you're on a low-population server/cluster, you might have really, really poor (or crazily sporadic) results on barn output. I have over a million but I made about 2/3 of that in about two weeks because things sold well. I've made less than 200k in the two months since that sale; the savage bloods just sit on the AH forever. The fur sells pretty consistently but isn't that great of a money-maker.
seems like Cata nerfs have been nerfed moneywise in preperation for Legion
I'm not quite sure what you're refering to. If you mean Cataclysm raids, then they still appear to be dropping the same amount of ≈125g per toon in the raid. Just tested it to be sure and with 3 toons (only have 3 accounts active atm) this seems to be still the case. Make sure you're using the right difficulty and raid size settings I guess.Quote:

This might be old news to some people, and you're going to need a bunch of lvl 100 characters, but recently I found that in patch 6.2.2 Blizzard added three new companions; Wibrating, Warm, and Glittering Arcane Crystal

These items drop from three level 102 Rare Elites ( Guk, Rukdug and Pugg ) in the non-instanced highmaul area of Nagrand. Droprate seem to be around 10% but it's all personal loot.
( These mobs also have the greatest droprate (2%ish) for ilvl 695 baleful upgrade tokens! )
If you 5box these elites down, we can use the following formula for the math
4000g * 10% * 3 rares * 5 characters = 6000g per day per team of 5, expecting that you can get these pets sold.
Currently the market is pretty dry from these (at least on my realm) so I'm going to farm these rares a few days and see if there's demand on these new pets.
Not to mention the other 3 Rare Elites near the Dark Portal. They drop Crashin' Thrashin' toys, worth a 3000g a piece, but there seem to be more competition on selling them. ( http://www.wowhead.com/items?filter=...crs=6723;crv=0 )
I love to see personal loot rules apply currently here and there, and in Legion, if the looting system is going to be as it seems, personal loot, then that is the greatest gift Blizzard can give for the multiboxers ^^
Patch 6.2 Rare Garrison Missions
If you have characters close to average item level 675, I'd suggest to gear them up to 675 or above, and also have three followers at 675, and have Item Level Army -achievement (at least 10 followers @ 645) then you'll be eligible for these rare missions ( you can have a random one of 10 missions total per each week ) ( Requirements not confirmed, though )

As a sidenote: You don't actually have to have 675 item level equipped, as long as your gear in bags meets that criteria
Of those, the Champion's Honor and Huge Ogre Cache are the only ones that sell worth a damn on my server.
Those prices fairly closely match those on my heavily populated server.
Save your Void-Shrouded Satchel, it cant be put on the AH but you can trade it to other people.

I am not having any problem with items such as champions honor that drop from garrison missions. Prices on Bleeding Hollow (PvP) still high.

I'm weird in that I'm a gold goblin at heart (at times only subbing to play the market) but I refuse to do stuff I don't enjoy so I don't actually run more than oneish garrison.
For those who still have an old transmute army going, I've actually been transmuting and selling a lot of primal fire lately. You can grind out one bc alchemy transmute (earth to life, sporeggar) and then transmute daily until you get mana to fire which is a pretty nice deal for me, under 15 for the mana (or free if you run karazhan at all) and then an average of 300g for primal fire.
not enhanced by multiboxing, but azshara's veil has no competition in Vashjir and a pretty straightforward route that always has one node up for every cluster of four, and then I sell them for 20g. Not sure if it is worth your time generally but I like to do it while I'm watching programming courses/videos because it takes even less attention than my archaeology leveling alt.
If i need some quick gold i do Bastion of Twilight 25 heroic trash farmruns with my druids. Clearing the first room - reset all instances - and again. Selling everything at the Vendor (no Lockboxes) gives you ~800g per char per 10 runs in under 15 min. Before entering the Bastion leave the grp, so every char gets his own instance and loot - activate Broadcast all - run in the middle of the first room - spam aoe - use Findle´s LootArang - turn arround and run out.... its like multiboxing Diablo 3 ;)
Not sure if its worth with 3 chars or if Fireland trash run makes more sense.
For all Garrison Gold making you need a decent amount of time to keep it running properly. BUT i think it could be worth it pushing your Followers and Garrison up and make some easy Gold in Legion.
All you need is a Tavern/Inn(lvl3) and Trading post(lvl1). Recruit Treasure Hunter every week ... once Legion comes out, Treasur Hunters will give you garrison resources instead of Gold. So you will cap your garrison resources pretty fast. Now you need the Trading Post, go to the vendor and buy the sack of Gold. For 10K Resources you will earn 3K Gold.
It realy depends on how blizz will change the sack of gold or the droprate of resource missions with Legion.... we will see ;)
Forgot to mention that these rares drop 150ish GR per kill per character, so that's pretty fast +450GR for each toon ^^Quote:
