So what's up with the periodic site-downness?

Every day it seems like, the forums become unresponsive and refuse to load for random bits of time...today it was this morning for an hour or so and just now again from a lil after 2 until now, 3ish. Normally I'd write it off as my shitty work comp but judging from a complete lack of posts/replies made during the "downtime", I'm guessing it's just not me. Just wondering if you're adding "Default sigs" for those who didn't make one or breaking something else Maj ;p Steam forums ain't as active as they used to be and with this down too I get bored =( lol

I've noticed the same thing, and I'm pretty sure I never noticed it before the ad bar went in.

Actually I haven't seen the ad bar in awhile now...I think they removed it due to the complaints of some people being completely unable to load the forums in the first place let alone see/click the ads lol; I don't know if it's related either way as I don't see the ads anymore

Ya, I took down the ad bar as it was causing the page not to load and I didn't like what it was displaying.
For the site not loading completely, I'll look into it - there shouldn't be anything causing any downtime ><

For me it either takes so long it times out or takes 10mins to load the title at the top of IE, THEN times out; tried every common fix I can do, restart IE, clear cache etc but when I go back it still does it. It doesn't actually load any of the page most of the time; thanks for checkin Ellay =)

I haven't noticed this lately. I'll keep an eye peeled, though.

Besides the thing where the Ads blocked the forums from loading two or three random times for me (which is obviously gone for now) I never have problems with this site, either computer. Hmm.

Edit: I use Internet Explorer if it's worth mentioning.

As I said the bits I'm describing are maybe once, sometimes twice a day, and completely random in when it happens and how long it lasts lol; yesterday it was around 11 for an hour, then again about 2:15 till 3:10pm EST before it would load again; went to other sites fine *shrug* just letting 'em know

yeah, I had the same thing about the same times, I messaged Ellay when it happened and he said it was fine.

I will look at the server logs when I get home to see whats up.

Not had any issues today tho.

just had it happen a few minutes ago. trying to load software page and it just sat there loading. then tried to refresh current page and got nothing. After a few minutes the site started responding again.

Yeah it kicked in for me at 12:52pm EST as well; I dunno when it ended though as I called gamestop and they just got a shipment of wiis in so I got the fuck out of dodge and grabbed one before they sold out ;p Didn't get back till 40mins later and obviously it was back up lol
