This is Samdeathwkaf if you wish to check the armory; NO RESTED, NO RAF (has three heirlooms though but no guild flag /it dosnt stay if you move out of range/) over 11,000,000 xp per hour. One mage tags (in the group with Samdeathwkaf, 2 in group total), then the 26 box crew comes in and kills everything with arcane explosion. The SS speaks for itself.

I did 89-90 for some kid last night at the dooker dome in under 30 mins with only 15% rested. (Because he was offering 8k gold for 89-90 O_o)
Pretty sure that is around 20m or more an hour.
Grats though. Monkey runs are around the same EXP per hour for any group of 5 though ;\
Do these mobs basically insta respawn?
Well this is at level 85, not 89. They spawn fast not instant though but if you go from one end of the mobs to the other by the time you start coming back they have spawned. Ill check out this monkey run dooker dome spot today.
Well, at level 85 you still get good exp at the place i used. When i power leveled reckful like 5 months ago on his DK it took like 30 mins per level, before i got ddosed >_>Quote:

While I think maximizing single player xp/hr is interesting, I'm more interested in the best places to earn xp in total considered across all characters participating.
For instance, Sam is earning 22 million xp/hr since there are two toons in the tag group. Assuming that he's going to eventually want both of them to 90, all of the experience is meaningful progress towards that goal. Also Sam, you'd get more total xp/hr, but less per alt if you had a full group of 5 tagging due to group xp multipliers. (If these are your last two to level, nevermind that suggestion)
They are related though, as you mentioned, group xp bonusus will increase the groups overall EXP. Finding a fun place to power level one alt is always useful though, since we dont always want a whole group leveled at once, but rather level one alt we need to complete a group, or switch an alt in because their class is better at a specific role etc.
I think Sam just wanted to pull a prepared and claim himself top of the world without actually checking first.
Last time I checked, my spot was not patched, but I havent used it in a while.
Its my last ONE to level, so I am only getting exp on one guy. I use the level 90 mage for never fail aoe tagging. But ya if it was a group of 5, with one level 90 tagger and the rest under level 90 there would be way more then 11 million exp, total. If your spot is the zhus watch mobs or the brewly instance then they have been nerfed. Ya well I thought it was the best but .... still lets see if your spot is nerfed or if I do better at a higher level. Ya I did not check, as I don't see where there are more mobs and there is no way someone who is not 20 plus boxing will kill mobs as fast as aoe mages ...

I don't have addons for EXP but I did 88-89 in 37 mins last night, non rested which is about 27m exp. It is close to 4% exp per min when you get the spawns going properly (if the class can AOE tag well).
You can technically do 85-90 here in ~ 150 mins or just over 2.5 hours non rested.
When you say "Dooker Dome" is that the place just north of where the Horde zeppelin crashed in the MoP starting area?
Ya I guess you are right. I see where the difference is; I was boosting a healer so I had to have a tagger in his group which cut my exp by 1/2. If you are boosting a class that can aoe tag solo and then kill with out of group helpers then you can do double what I was doing. If I ever boost a mage Ill try again but I think 28 is where I want to be. I'm about to try this method of pure grinding, since I usually level by questing. Is it feasible to do the Dooker Dome one if all of your toons is 85-86? Or do you need one level 90 (say the tank) to keep being alive? I do have a tank at 90 (level 485, so I'm sure it can handle dooker dome crowd no problem), but I thought the XP is reduced if you have a level 90 in the group.
