Questions for potentially returning to Rift..

Team Comps:
Last i played i had a team of bards/rogues almost to 50 ( 48ish ) And I was leveling a team of all clerics, they were the "FoM" at the time i guess. Reading the Rift forums is almost overwhelming, so much has changed, soul changed...role changed etc.. I want a team that can dominate PvE and do good in PvP.. clerics still good for that? Some better comp now?

Trade Skills:
My rogues had all trades..most maxed at the time.. but did not have all the recipes yet ( have to earn tokens for those right? ) Are they worth doing? or is it easier just to farm for cash and buy stuff? any advantages for multi accounts+trade skill X?

Any other advice for players returning after a long hiatus?

We really have not had any major composition discussion in a long time. For the most part Cleric still rock all the way around. Clerics would equal 1 Paladin 4 Shaman or 5 shaman in regards to WoW. Its the "go-to" composition at this time. Most compositions are are viable, based on how well you build your macros/keybinds.

I personally have been reviewing Rogues (flamethrowers rock!), and a Harbinger team, probably 1 Rogue 4 Mages, will be my next team after i finish leveling rerolled Cleric team. I currently have a 5 mixed team at 55 (Warrior, 2x Rogue, 1 Cleric, 1 Mage), but i was really bored of the mixed capabilities of the team, and i was shooting for something easier; ie: same classes.

As for tradeskills, i can not comment on the current era tradeskills. I kept all the tradeskills on my old team up to date, just in-case i needed something. I was able to make good purple gear with the vanilla level 5 gear, which saved me hundreds of gold. Gathering and Runecrafting were always worth it. I only had tradeskills kept on 3 toons, pilot toon has all gathering, while my next 2 primary toons had 3 crafting skills each, which allows to cover all between 3 toons.

i cant figure out what i used for log in names on a few of my account.. has it always been emails?

Yea.. i found 4.. i thought i had 5 and cant remember for the life of me what email i used for one of them lol

Looks like you get 3 free days for coming back? Just logged my main toon in and then check my account.. says active..3 days remaining ..NICE!

what server you on lyon?

The only issue I have with resubbbing to Rift is the 5X $40 for the expansion pack. I had my main team pretty much maxed out with epics and all their trade skills and so I would need to buy the expansion to really have any reason to play :(

If there is a Gamestop near by, Storm Legion is currently $20 there. Same at Best Buy and Amazon I think. Not sure how long the sale lasts though.

Yeah there are a few there. I may be on their myself with my new 5 box team tonight. Im not sure if Elania still on Deepwood or not, i just rerolled there becuase i knew another boxer is on there. But i hear the Faeblight guys are still active i believe.

I guess Rift is the new WOW now that WOW broke /follow. Glad to see you guys in Rift. I just returned couple weeks ago, having a blast, I'm on Greybriar, believe Krago is also. I have most class makeups, but my favorite are all rogues. Rogues are awesome tanks, use bards as healing, and MM/Ranger as DPS. I roll thru the content with them. My rogues:

i couldnt get FTL working right last night . My ISboxer is all screwed up now..from all the games i have played. SO i think I am going to clear it and get a fresh start. I know the last time i played it.. it was easy to set up...well its still set up in game the same.. same macros..same keybinds etc.. but my toons would not follow or assist.. so something wrong for sure. Ill figure it out tonight hehe. I was looking at the soul changes.. they look very interesting!

Indeed I am still on Greybriar, I have my all cleric team in the low 50's as I haven't had much time to play, RL was way too busy but is quieting down so I may get some play time.
I know my guild misses my multiboxing antics. :)
