5 Boxing druids. Deathknights in the mix?

Hello! As of now, I'm current Five Boxing druids, all DPS, my main is Tank/Boomkin. Anywho, I was wondering, once I hit 55, should I get maybe two or three Deathknights in the mix? In order to solo things a bit easier? Maybe one blood, and one unholy.

But playing three different specs might be a pain. Has anyone ever tried two Melee and three ranged? Thoughts? If any, feedback is appreciated!

Edit: Also loot distribution is alot easier. Seeing as tanking plate to one, dps plate to another. Boomkins can split between cloth and Leather.

I'm very unenthusiastic about druids this expansion. Resto is the worst heal spec in the game, guardian is the one tank spec no one wants to have to heal and boomkins are mediocre. Feral does decent dps. So I guess I'd say swap four of them out for dks!

(I personally just levelled disc/shadow/guardian/elemental/affliction from 85-90 and I've decided to account transfer my level 90 monk so I can swap with the druid).

I see your point, I do thoroughly enjoy DeathKnights, and Playing boomkin is over all to me. Just meh. I'm not the best multiboxer, matter of fact, even when all my guys at Specced Balance, I noticed I down mobs faster in cat form. Regardless of the fact I'm not geared for it. When I picked four druids, I had one thing in mind Off healing In lower level battlegrounds I couldn't die. But at the same time. I sucked at damaged because I had to turn my boomkins around, take time to cast, etc. I do have a 70 Shammy sitting around. Maybe I'll heal with my druid until then?

Do you know of a Deathknight Multiboxer? Or a guide somewhere?

I love my mixed group. I play guardian, fury warrior, surv hunter, enh shaman, and holy pally. All 8 buffs, hero and skull banner, crazy burst and good off heals from shaman make it a strong team IMO.

I don't understand how you can box with a hunter, seeing as that all their spells are like... Shots with hardly a cast time. I guess that because you have alot of Melee is can work. But to me, it seems like alot to manage.

In general, you build your DPS so you're spamming one key.
Given your DPS is one button spam, it doesn't really matter what you're playing since you'll be spamming the same button.

If the classes have a cast time, you spam away and a lot of the clicks are wasted... but its still decent DPS.
If the abilities are instant, the spam continues.
Either way, you spam a key for your DPS.

You manage the positioning of your toons.
Their facing.
If they're on follow or have broken follow.
If you have melee, the IWT and possibly the breaking of movement, to prevent run-offs.

You manage the tanking toon, if you have one.
If its PvP, you manage trinkets.
Irregardless of your focus, there will be a few cooldowns to manage, the more so the stronger your boxing but the more complex and harder to play it.

You also manage your healing, if you include a healer.

In general...
If you have melee and ranged...
You're still running the tank, using a Repeater Region to heal and spamming a key for the DPS to do their thing.

Would anyone think a combination of 3x Deathknights (1x Blood 2x Dps), Healing Druid, (Switch to priest 80), then a Hunter or a Boomkin as ranged?

I think hunter for the cats boost to Agility. But the boomkin throws 5% spell haste in the mix.
Another pro to the druid is the Battle Rez.

What are your goals? PvP? PvE? Raiding? Heroics? Challenge modes? Different groups work better for different things.

The hunter can also boost spell haste with a sporebat pet. The cat boost mastery, not agility. With that team you'd have... Stamina, attack power, melee and ranged attack speed, and the hunter pet buff which can be about anything. I'd recommend mastery. (Cat) The exotic pet Shale Spider can give stats, and core hound can give hero/bloodlust, but you have to spec BM. I don't like being BM, it's hard to get close to 100 percent DPS from it. With survival I can get about 90 percent or better without driving, BM is like... 60 percent maybe? Might just be my setup, but in my experience survival is best.

if you tanked with a paladin you could add stats to the mix, and they are mega easy to box with. Good tanks also.

i have a hunter on my team for two reasons. First, he is my main that I raid with so he kinda carries the team DPS wise, which allows me to use the enhancment shamans maelstrom procs for chain heals if needed. Also, he provides spell haste and attack power which lets my warrior give Stam. That way I get all the buffs. Hunters don't IWT so from time to time I have to face him, but my setup makes this effortless. With every possible raid buff available in my 5 man group hunter can burst 110k on dungeon bosses, so it makes it easier. Warrior does awesome DPS also. Shaman kinda sucks, but the off heals make up for it. I would just use her as resto but I'd lose the attack speed buff which is great to have.

PvE mainly, although PvP I want to be tons of fun.

What else is there?

For PvE, almost anything is going to work.

The trinity is going to make things easier.
That is: Tank + Heals + 3x DPS.

You can run odd-ball configurations as well: 4x Tank, 1x Heals (4x Blood DK, 1x Healer)... 1x Tank, 2x Heals, 2x DPS (Tank, 2x H.Paladin who heal the tank but have Beacon on the DPS and self heal via Protector of the Innocent)... 2x Tank, 2x Heals, 1x DPS.

If you have a class that could spec Tank, and a different class that could spec Heals, you can use Dungeon Finder.



For PvP, battlegrounds lets you use whatever.
But Arena/Rated BGs will force more optimal configurations, if you want to succeed.

In general the fewer classes/specs the better, as you can manage them to a higher level.
I've played everyone is the same: 5x Elemental Shaman, 5x Feral Druid, etc... as well as two roles: 1x Heals, 4x Damage.
