Good Morning!
I am trying to compile a Priority based macro for my Beast Master Hunter and keep getting nowhere, things don't fire, it gets locked, all kinds of strange happenings.
Does anyone have a working BM Priority based macro and, if so, would you be so kind as to share it. If not can anyone point me in the right direction to get going?

I would say i have some macros for you,but mine are a bit unconventional,need bindpad addon as they exceed the 225 limit,there not pretty to look at :),
they are more pvp based,not high dps,they may lock still,but switching to another target and then back ususally works for me,its not an ideal solution but its something i have been trying to sort out too.
I DID have a working macro that 100 percent worked on the dummies,and did not lock out,but when i tried on galv in av battleground,it kept locking out..
So i retried a new macro on mobs over and over until that did not lock out,but then try the same macro on a dummie and after 3-4 mins it locks out,kind of frustrating.
but then again,for me personally i am trying to do loads of things all in 1 macro..

It is locking up because some of the skills have long cooldowns. I assume you were trying it on a dummy for a while?Quote:

Seems to be working pretty well, I've not gotten /castsequence to work since 5.1
i use a spam bar seems to be working kinda well with a do not move to next step for 0.5 secs in it (might need to change it on your gear)
then just put all the spells i need on the bar its something like this
1) SS
<0.5>
2) kill command
<0.5>
3)direbest
4)spare or Other fast cool down spells from talents
5>6>7>8> AS & CS % KS sometimes talents. (the system fights over what it wont to cast)
give me about 80k dps on live,

Any ideas on how to improve?
In the sample above, Glaive Toss never fires, but if I swap it around, it will fire off, but then something else is limited or cut off. Perhaps hunters have too damn many cooldowns to make this work correctly.
Also trying this adapted from the lazymacro site, but dps seems a bit low, but everything appears to be firing.
Any ideas? (Stampede and readiness are manual)Code:/startattack

you have to look up the deathkight post about how its all setup to get it a 100% right but more off less thats what am doing.
if any off the spell are on cooldown it skip the key and move on i do put a small do not move to next step for xsecs to stop GCD getting in the way of spaming keys fast

You should probably look into the /swapactionbar command to allow you do do multi step macros on the Mac / without isboxer.
I would link some more info on it but it is hard to search the forums on my phone ;)

I tried variants of that, but some of the abilities were still always missing. (Might be that other abilities were using the queue spots first, or it might be that some are being focus starved...) Another issue is the wierd state that Focus Fire is, with it not behaving like a normal spellcast.Quote:

To build a sequence simply requires some testing on the target dummies, and gradually building the macro.
But again, the problem with BM in particular is the number of cooldowns that make a full castsequence near impossible, due to the length it would be. People forget variable haste in raid situations, and how that effects cast times, which can then bork your /castsequence
If any spell in the /castrandom list is on CD then none of the spells will cast.
I think the real problem is that BM simply has too many things to line up that can't be in a standard castsequence. Using the other methods, you aren't getting anywhere close to priority or on-cooldown casts. The new focus-fire is the real deal-breaker.
Using the /changeactionbar command should give you up to 5 "steps" or separate macros that can all be rotated through to cover all the cool downs. I think I spelled the command wrong on my earlier post.Quote:
