IoC weekend. What's the strategy these days (Horde & Alliance)

Haven't played this bg for ages. As horde, I remember I just zerg hanger and wondering around on the map until alliance's gate break down, OR tp back to my base to defend until alliance overwhelms me with number. What do you guys do

I allways get people to join me at WS to slow down horde capping and getting demos! Alliance allways rush docks for glaives, so I tend to just slow hordes at WS :) after WS is defended, and horde gate is down, I rush the boss. If our gate is at 10-15% I get back and use our boss as shield and spam the crap out of my chain lightning :P

AS ALLY, I go straight to docks, win there, go to refinery while docks is capping, assault it, go back and defend glaives until they nuke those doors. Go in and kill boss, the end!

I do this strat now because glaives don't die as quickly as they did at top end 85. 85 was my hangar strat

great, now i know what allies do! hordes how do we counter that~

The Zerg does IoC Turtle Domination.

Basically go to Docks and wipe the alliance.
Then go wherever they hold (WS or Hangar) and wipe them there.

If possible, wipe them but don't take the location.
Then farm them at that location, as they spawn.

We usually have a boxer hang out at our keep.
To delay people from using bombs on our gates.
Once our gates get to close to blowing up, all the boxers head back to our base.
As soon as the outer gate falls and we can go into our keep we do so.

Up in the Generals room, you want to be a fair ways back and ideally not in Line of Sight of the ramp up.
But not at the back wall, as AoE fear can run you through the wall, at which point its really hard to get back in.

Pets in particular are pulled in, so they aggro the General, but the pets are not killed if possible.
That way, the General will run down and kill the Allies there.
He's basically impossible to kill outside of his room, so we're quite safe doing that.
If someone does get feared outside, they can attempt to farm them at our keep as they rez.

Anytime several come up at once, we drop a lot of AoE and summon our own pets.
This is using latency against the allies, since the average boxer has a stronger system (capable of 5+ toons) than the average solo player.

Matches aren't necessarily quick, but we win basically every game.
I didn't lose a single IoC, playing Turtle Domination with other boxers.

lol i love it. Why do we hordes always fall back on turtling. Just like in AVs. A lot of wiping, a lot of farming, are these all resource wins ?

The majority of the wins are resource victories.

Occasionally, the allies are distracted enough that a small group of non-boxers kill their General for us, which ends the match early.

As 8 boxing ele shams I would play the map until horde ran into our base. basically the same as this strat but I wait til they pull then I come in from the side while they are all tunnel visioning and decimate the melee and healer pack with chain lightnings. Nothing better than defending your boss, especially if you can get him to be pulled outside :P

Anyone 10.boxing this? I'm worried that people will try to kick my guys when they 10 of us. 5 is little less noticeable..

You need quite a few to simultaneously report you, to be insta-booted.
The RathStrat guys will attempt to boot a player who consistently caps graveyards that we're farming the allies in.
Even with 32+ in our raid, it is an effort to insta-boot someone.

You only need 3 reports to be flagged as innactive.
After a minute of that, you get another debuff.
And after that you're booted.

But if you engage in pvp in that time you lose the debuff.

If any of my guys get the debuff, the entire BG does.
Then I can join the... who the hell reported me AFK?



If you join with a premade, there won't be enough non-premade players to report you.
Whether you're using PreForm AV Enabler, with RathStrat or QQueue, or Oqueue doesn't really matter.

If possible, queue with a premade.
