Is there a way to edit wow macros on my main and somehow get them updated on all my slaves? I don't like to restart wow and copy paste every time I relog.
I'm currently using AHK + Pwnboxer and not planning to change.
Help appreciated. Thx.

Use ISBoxer and it generates all your macros for you. Easy as pie
Each account has a directory in the WTF folder that contains a macro-cache file that holds the macros. Not sure when/how that gets updated from the server.
Basically, no. Macros aren't something the server is going to write to other accounts, which is what you are asking for. You can try Jamba's macro setup, which should let you write variable macros and push them to the slaves {I guess, I never used it}. Or you could see if SuperDuperMacro is still working. It has {had?} a means of sending your macros to party members.
I generally make my macros in notepad.
And then copy/paste them into the game.
I've moved quite a few macros to IS Boxer, via the Macro Library option.
But the majority still reside within Wow.
look for an addon called oBind it's similar to bindpad, but a lot bigger
Seriously - use ISBoxer. All my macros are generated by the program - nothing exists within WoW. Same with 99% of my key bindings. Anyone could log into my toons and think that I didn't hot key a thing and never heard of a macro because it's all saved and generated by ISBoxer. I think peeps would be blown away how easy it is to switch teams, add macros, do massive amounts of reconfiguration if they just learned how to use the tool.
MacroBank Works quite well, and is updated regularly.
Below is the feature list directly off the addon site, though it also available on Curse and the like. Note the last feature listed.
- Create macros inside the macro bank without having to create them in the main macro window first.
- Macros can be given a category to group similar macros together.
- Macros can also be given a description to distinguish them between other macros with the same macro name.
- Change both the macro text and icon in the macro bank.
- Save a macro from the main macro window directly to the macro bank.
- Load a macro from the macro bank to your main macro list.
- Replace an existing macro with a macro from the macro bank.
- Delete a macro from the macro bank.
- Load macro groups when swapping talents.
- Send macros to other MacroBank users.
Owltoid Offtopic- ISBoxer is great software I'm sure but it doesn't work for everyone, for example I purchased a 1 year subscription after hearing all the wonderful things it was capable of, but missed the inability to use 64bit WoW, and DX11. I went back to HKN while I try to figure out how to get more than 1 fps in WoW, my current computer simply chokes as soon as ISBoxer is loaded and I can see a screen other than a loading screen in WoW, but doesn't have a single problem running 5-10 instances with HKN and aside from mouse pointers loses very little to ISBoxer. If the guy says he doesn't intend to change, try to provide a tailored solution.
You can use DX11 without issue.
64-bit Warcraft is a no go, for the current version.
But will likely be available as part of JoeMultiboxer (IS Boxer 2), when it releases.
If you want very accurate mouse broadcasting, enable instant swap.
That has every window rendered at full size, and then scaled down to whatever your display resolution is.
But you can disable instant swap, it is an option you can choose to use or not.
If it is disabled, IS Boxer won't use more resources than other boxing options.
Your choice pretty much, it's incredibly flexible.
1. You can ask for a refund (there is a button in the My Account section of the web site) if the software is not working to your satisfaction
2. You should ask for help resolving your performance issue. If you get 1 fps, it's likely either because you have another program loaded that is incompatible in a way that causes this (e.g. certain overlay products like Mumble and X-Fire are known to do this with the in-game features enabled), or because you have multiple video cards and have a Window Layout that does not handle them properly. Ualaa is also pointing out the possibility that you're comparing the performance of 5-10 small renderings to the performance of 5-10 full size renderings, which of course is more expensive; you can change your Window Layout to match what you have with HKN. There's even an option for the mouse broadcasting to "Scale to fit" which can potentially still work well enough to use with different sized windows.
You're paying me for a service, feel free to come for the answers you need!
Also, as Ualaa pointed out, DX11 works fine. Some people have new issues with DX11 since MoP but I don't believe those are related to ISBoxer, it should be the same with or without.
I actually wasn't trying to knock isboxer I was getting at the fact that some people are set up with their own configuration, and isboxer may not be something people want to switch to for simple issues with their current setup. Secondly, DX11 does indeed work, I just needed to be a little more observant when setting it up :/. As for the 1fps issue I'm pretty Damn stubborn, I will spend the time reading and experimenting until I get it figured out. I don't currently have the DX issues some have been having, and I have a single graphics card, so odds are it's simple, just maybe not obvious.
I wouldn't ask for a refund I want to get it working, it's a nice and well supported program. Anywho, back to the forums for isboxer, and your regularly scheduled thread. If I get to a point where I simply can not get it working I will make my own thread for help. I really just wanted to point out not everyone wants to spend money to share macros, when it is a free function available to all wow players.
Seems like macrobank and superdupermacro can only send 1 macro at a time.
The reason I like bindpad is that you don't actually need to modify the macros once you have done them. With macrobank and superdupermacro you would have to place the macros into hotbars which is a pain when you do it 6 times. I think I stay with bindpad as it is superior in these areas:unlimited macro lenght quadripled, 160 macros per savefile. I can also don't have to rebind the macros for different teams each time I want to change a team.
Thanks for everyone for help anyway!
