WOW: BC $5, Wrath $5, Cata $10 at Best Buy

Oh great! Now I have to decide, scrap my other 5 accounts and re-raf a whole new set, then reactivate for a 10 box team! I mean 100$ for 5 games isn't that bad, thats if I don't get MoP right away. Either way the woman would be pissed at me.... I just cringe when I see sales like this and know what I paid to multibox a few years ago....

Here's the real question...
Do we believe that a new and improved Battlechest is coming our way with MoP's release (or shortly after)? If so, do we believe that they're going to let us use our base World of Warcraft keys to get a full upgrade like they did with vanilla keys when they removed the BC expansion out of the mix?
I believe they're going to, at the very least, remove the Wrath expansion out of the mix and include it into a new and improved Battlechest. I also wouldn't be surprised if, because of WoW's age and how well the Cata expansion did (or didn't do) overall, they might add Cataclysm to the new Battlechest as well.
I might just get a bunch of Battlechests now and hope they upgrade those keys at a later date. ;)

Right now you can upgrade a starter edition to MoP for $65 for digital sales on the battlenet site. Thats with taxes included @ 8% sales tax (ny addy).

If you have a local Frys store they are selling Battle Chest, Lich King and Cata all at $5 each.

If you go to upgrade from a free account it gives you the optio to upgrade all the way to Cataclysm for $59

Cata at 59 is far more than 20.

Yes, Best Buy is a MUCH better deal and Frys is even better at $15 for all 3 games

Well scroll already upgrades you from vanilla to cata to I think its a likely situation.

Yes! That was also another reason I was thinking that. Alas, the BestBuy I went to only had 3 Battlechests and I decided to buy hot wings with that $15 instead of more WoW keys.

Just another heads up guys. I had to call tech support yesterday , over an issue with not being able to bring up the Subscription area on my B-net accounts. (The nice guy named Chad, aid they had been having trouble with that today. ) But he mentioned to me, as he saw my accounts , to keep a close eye on the Main page, as they have some great deals coming in over the next few months.
He also confirmed, you only need one Super duper deluxe master awesome version of the game, to get the pet and mount across all you individual accounts. I think what we are seeing with Best buy and fry's , is a huge liquidation , as the sale will be pretty good. Anyways, just passing along the rumor mill.

As many accounts as you have might mean bulk buying of game time at a better price, faction/server changes or something like that. I mean $60 for the game if they leave the prices as they stand now is very reasonable and if they hike it back to like 100 they are going to screw themselves... they know this.

I'm speculating that Wrath and Cata will get rolled into the Battlechest which will be $20-$30 and then MoP will remain $30-$40. This would keep them on track with the '$60 for a full game' idea.

Having said all of the above, the Frys deal of $15 for all 3 is unbeatable at present and represents the same value as some of blizzard's Black Friday sales

Yeah, that fry's sale was pretty good, well, both Fry's and Best Buy.
As things are set up, I'll have 4 toons ready to RAF another 2 toons to 85 once MOP hits. Working on more now. That is of course, IIRC, and the RAF does go to 85. If not, still I can live with 80.

jumped on this today(Wednesday) but it is a 3 day special so Thursday for Fry's or wait until the next time

I got 2 battlechests and 2 WotlKs, did not bother with Cat due to RaF stops at 80 currently. I have $10 Best Buy rewards so got them there

I went ahead and got cata on my RaF boost team. The extra $10 was worth paying to me just for the ability to fly in all zones.
