Im starting to dispise the other Players!

Probably in the wrong sub forum, gonna apologize right off the bat.

I honest and truly am starting to hate the Rampant stupidity im encountering. Something ive grown really accustomed to not having to deal with in EVE. ( Not making any generalized statements about the intelligence level of either game ) Just in eve i can always do something about it. Nothings safe ever. If telling someone off fails to work i can always ruin their day.

I have no such recourse in wow, and very sadly. Kindly informing the rest of the team i care very little what they think, and to win the entire team needs to avoid following me and spouting nonsense for the entire game.
If we are losing its 100% my fault, if we win i had nothing to do with it...

I dont like the factions because it means i cant kill the people that annoy me most. Its not the super duper rogue that seams to be able to sap and split me up and kill off one guy and vanish that makes me mad, its the dimwit hunter that thinks because he spends the entire game plinking someone getting heals and not dying, and his damage is higher than all 3 of my hunters combined hes doing more damage, dispite all 3 of my hunters having more KB than anyone else on alliance.

Its just such a crock, i really wish i had the option to remove assets from any player at any time i please, even at a loss to myself. ( again eve nonsense )

I'm starting to despise fellow boxers in non-40m BG's when I play solo. They seem to run around without caring about any objectives, ungemmed, unenchanted, bad gear. When they lose 1 toon they let it stand at the gy. To such an extend that I yet have to win a (non 40)m bg where I have a boxer in my team. That's my experience, just offering another look on the issue.

Haters gonna hate. I just ignore them and move on with my day.

@Zenga Kinda sucks, but they could be newer boxers. Everyone has to start somewhere! boxer =/= good.

No more annoyance from team mates spamming abuse.

Truth be told, if you have 5 hunters...or even 3....just report the haters AFK. If they're following you around long enough without doing anything productive, they'll get booted.

I run with about 3 other 3 boxers in BGs and we win over 90% of our games. I understand where Zenga is coming from, since a lot of bad boxers just use their toons as a wrecking ball in BGs, not an objective assister. But you just need to show them how to do it I guess....or message them after and explain.

We're boxer friendly and have 90% + win rate

Everyone starts somewhere...

When a team is gearing up, and learning to play...
They will do a lot better in the 40-man BG's, because honestly they are going to be carried by others...
In the smaller BG's, they will not be able to compete with an equal number of geared/semi-geared solo players...
When 10-15% of your side is undergeared, that's not so bad; when 50% (or more, if others are undergeared too) are in crap gear, your side won't win often.

I often inspect my allies, in a BG, during the warm-up/buff period.
I check how many pieces of PvP gear they have, by mousing over their Chest and Helm slots.
If the majority have 4/5 or 5/5, we tend to do well... since my team is also geared.
If they have a decent weapon, that's a huge bonus too.
I like it, when their Helm slot has a Meta.
I like it, when their gear is gemmed... even if its all Bold Inferno Rubies in every socket.
I like to see gear enchanted.
I like to see DPS classes in higher end raid gear, even if they don't have a lot of resilience; they too will contribute a fair bit to my win.
Too often see players in close to full Conquest gear, without any gems (including a Meta) and no enchants; it is a lot more common than I would think.



The larger scale BG's are closer to even than the smaller scale BG's.
AV is around 60% and IoC around 70% win rate, now that I'm geared.

It is harder to influence the victory/loss, when there are 35 other players (with my 5-box).
What was a benefit, when the team was gearing up... is now a hindrance, with a fairly geared team.
My best chance seems to be, holding a specific objective... such as in AV preventing a bunker from being capped for 2-3 minutes and then backcapping the other bunker.
Or in IoC, I will contribute to taking Hangar, and then heading back to my base and destroying Glaives/Sieges (depending on what they took).

The smaller scale BG's, ironically are far better win/loss ratios with a geared team... and those were the BG's that royally sucked while gearing up.
The caveat being, having other players attempt to win the game, and not follow me around.

I am 100% in WSG, when the other half of my team goes for the Flag.
It doesn't even have to be the entire team... it can be a solo Rogue/Feral who runs the flag well, or perhaps 2-3 that are working as a team.
My group of five, plays on their half of the middle... and farms honor kills.
Except that I pay very close attention to where our flag is being carried, and intercept their flag carrier... prioritizing killing the carrier and clicking the flag.
Then go back to killing their team.
When I'm forced to carry a flag, I'm not defending against their carries... and we don't win those games.
Nor do we win when people follow me around, watching the boxer in action.

Eye of the Storm has been a phenomenal BG for me... as a percentage, its easily the highest win rate; during the last EotS weekend, I lost one match out of forty-five.
Essentially I play the "zerg" game, and go to whatever the closest base that the other side holds is.
Just kill nearby, contributing to taking over their base.
And once it caps, move to whatever they hold.
According to my BG tracking addon, I'm better than 95% in this BG since finishing the Honor Grind... and have added 1/3rd Conquest pieces over that time.

Strangely SotA is almost always a loss boxed.
I'd think with all the snares of 4x Frost DK's, there would be a better win rate.
But out of thirty or so matches, I've only won two.
Both of those were the result of 3-4 players on our side, who worked well together and zerged the same gates...
We earnt the 4 minute achievement in one of those and did the other one even faster.
I suppose starting the match with the team split up, is an inherent disadvantage.

Arathi Basin is close to 50%, which sucks at times.
I've had matches where I go the Blacksmith, and pound the opposition.
And end up taking the BS, even if they had 10-12 there and rez one group while the others are still in combat with me.
I like to Path of Frost between BS and either Farm or Stables... essentially killing whatever they put there, re-capping the flag and then heading back to BS.
Not really holding either objective, but preventing them from capping (holding for a minute) either point.
I had one match where all 15 of their players assaulted just my 5 at Blacksmith and I won the battle twice before they gave up; frustratingly, our team did not win that BG despite my 5 being superior to their entire team in a straight up battle.
You can be very dependent upon those you play with, and unlike EotS it is far too spread out to conveniently assault each base in a Zerg style.

The new WSG and AB are both close to 50% games.
I don't especially like the AB style, but 50% is decent.
The newer WSG game... I don't like the width of the map and the number of routes my flag can be carried across; compared to WSG (which I likely only like so much more, because of the relative win rate) it's not nearly as fun.

if you're getting a lot of abuse switch to only doing 40 man bgs. Or change your naming structure so it is less obvious what you are doing.

I think his annoyance is justified here.

Killing Blows, is a very decent statistic for your contribution.
It can lie, if you tend to use a burst ability, on almost dead opponents and stick to the swarm of your team.
But in general, if your three have the top three actual kills... you were contributing well to the kill/live aspect, but not necessarily the objectives.

Honor Kills are probably a better statistic to go by.
At least as far as the kill/live aspect goes, because it shows you were victorious or contributed to those kills in some way.

Again though, HK's and KB's are enabling aspects, and not necessarily victory conditions.
By killing their players in the middle (EotS) your side has a chance to run a lot more flags.
By holding a tower/bunker until it burns or preventing their side from destroying it... via killing anyone that comes near, contributes to the victory.
Intercepting their flag carrier and escorts, is a good use of the kills in a WSG, but mindlessly killing in the middle and ignoring flag carriers entirely... is a lot of HK's/KB's, but nothing towards a victory.
Farming kills in the middle of the Field of Strife, is pretty useless as far as victory conditions go; but if your side is going for an attrition victory and you help to hold the choke between Iceblood Graveyard and Iceblood Tower... so no one can get through, that's a huge contribution to the cause.

I personally like to leave battleground chat on...
Because I can then see if someone says, need help at <somewhere close>.
Or they can call "Incoming to Gold Mine, need help".
If you have a thick enough skin to ignore the 'flack' we get, leave it on; if it bothers you enough, or puts you off of your game... then turn it off.
For a while, I wanted to disable enemy player emotes in battlegrounds, as the /spit comments aren't nice; after a while, it became a compliment that my team frustrated them enough to have them waste their time doing this...

I got 50% win ratio or above on every BG except WSG, you are probably with newer boxers (especially if they are ungemmed, etc)

We do have quite a few bandwagon boxers these days, just pray you get queued with an original lol

Let me start with my gear Frost DK Full cata Pvp gear (season 11 cataclysmic), Affliction lock Full Cataclysmic pvp gear, Disc Priest, full Ruthless Season 11 gear, Survival hunter, full ruthless season 11 gear.

I was doing random's yesterday with them and got EOTS. My strat is to cap new bases while the rest of the team does whatever. I solo capped DR at the start and we lost FR. I moved to MT solo capped it we lost BET. At this point everyone in the BG blamed me for us losing. As normal I ignored them and retreated to DR wiped the alliance offense and then took BET. We lost MT at that point. I decided to do my own thing cause they were idiots. Welcome to wow

Out of curiosity, how many toons are you boxing and what is the composition.
And what do you do in Strand of the Ancients?

Myself, I'm two wins out of over fifty games here... so lots of room for improvement.

Sad thing is, I don't even have full honor gear. I used to think that my firepower was better used to burn the enemy bosses down quicker, but the reality is screwing with the opposition's offense works much better 80% of the time.

In AV (was alliance only, up until yesterday's transfer of the main pvp team)...

My strategy, in any game that was not a mix-it-up, was to head to Stonehearth Bunker and "hold it".
So the horde could not cap that.
Then head over to Icewing Bunker and take that back.

If they were doing any kind of a wipe the alliance and force a turtle type game...
I would hold the area around Stonehearth Graveyard, including recapping that graveyard to give us a mid-field rez point.
But if it was a PvE race, then head from Icewing to Drek's area... and give the hordies a mid-field rez point to give our defense a larger punch...

The defensive approach was definitely better for my team.
The only time sticking with the swarm was better, was boxing 5x resto druids... who only did the PvP honor grind really...

im playing twink trials so i can only plat WSG and AB, in WSG my only option is to rape midfield and try and keep the EFC dead. the number of people that demand i carry the flash astounds me. it sounds like a great plan, hey you have 4 thats a fc team. but i can get zerged hard like anyone else in the 20 twink bracket. I switched over to my druids for now. im still gearing them, and the insults they get are well founded. so no complaints there.

and as far as the comment of gb2eve i never left :P i dick around on wow trials cause well. When i fuck up in wow it dosnt cost me months of work.

Yeh I started to change my toons names so they arent standing out to be boxing toons, then I said with the new set im making that they will all be different names so its harder to tell, then I decided, nah fark it, i like them standing out, so making all names similar as usual.

Most times its okay sometimes in a BG especially 10 mans if its a loss, its definitely multiboxers fault.. if you win and get sometimes same people for a few rounds your a hero and they follow and support you, its weird, but it is how it is.. I just try to do my best thats needed to try and win, and ignore anything else thats negative... im there to have fun, and thats what I do regardless of any negative comments. More fun to do what your there to do and not respond to the cry babies

In a way, the negative comments can be fun at times.

The people might be correct, if your team is gearing up.
But they could be totally clueless and showing it via their comments.

The hate you generate from your own faction... can be almost as good as cross-fraction whispers.

Since my DK's are currently Alliance, I like the defending stonehearth and icewing. My battlegroup is defective (isn't everyones?) and the Alliance refuse to pull until all the towers burn. With a strong starting defense I give us those few other seconds.

And I've been accused of losing many an EotS, while capping the third/fourth base. All well
