For those who play two or three and have used the dungeon finder, what kind of issues have you had with the other random people that usually make up a random group?
Do you find running dungeons (with 2) easier (not faster) than questing?
The reason I ask these questions is because I'm somewhat hesitant to do dungeon runs but I'd really like to mix them into my leveling.
It takes three of them to vote-kick you out of a dungeon.
If you're playing three DPS, they cannot get rid of you; and even if they leave, because you're actually in a dungeon you're higher in the queue for tanks/healers than others not in a dungeon yet.
For the raid finder, you're probably best off with 3x DPS.
If you're playing two, Tank/Healer is probably the best option.
Since DPS are a dime for two-dozen.
You'd need a tanking toon, and a healing toon, and likely a repeater region over Grid/Healbot/Vuhdo.
Not that hard to do.
Is there a Mac program that does repeater regions?
Not sure, but I know several Mac users use... I think its called Bootcamp.
Which lets them run PC boxing software.
HKN is free.
IS Boxer has a graphical GUI to set up repeater regions.
Bootcamp just makes it so you can install Windows on a Mac and that means laying down $200 for an OS that I bought a Mac to get away from. :D

This will assist your leader.
And heal their target if it's friendly, or the target's target (if that is friendly, and the target is hostile), and the last conditional is for PvP really... targeting a hostile who is targeting a hostile who is on a friendly (example a horde healer (you're on) who is targeting/healing a horde DPS, who is on one of your friends).
b) Target specific heals.
Press this hotkey, and your healer does this.

/cast [@Cuddles] Renew
Ctrl 2 =

Do this for as many heals as desired.
You can also bind your AOE heals like Circle of Healing, Prayer of Healing, Wild Growth, Holy Radiance etc and use the above macros to heal tanks then use AOE heals for everything else. Most people drive with their tank but I have found that while leveling, with warrior or pally tanks I never lose aggro and find myself driving from my healer.
The response is usually negative. I would be prepared for people constantly abandoning at the slightest mistake (even though no one dies or wipes). I would be prepared to get reported quite a bit, and lots of general ignorance and negativity towards you. The best thing you can do is to not mention you are triple boxing. Most of the time people are too stupid, or just not aware enough, to know that you're a multiboxer.Quote:

Also when you roll on loot, only do it with ONE of your characters. God forbid you roll with all 3, you'll likely be reported and the other people will most definitely leave.
What happens when you get reported? Anything? Its easy for the GM to see nothing fishy is going on.
I piss off a lot of opposite faction players, in most BG's.
I'd imagine I get reported a lot.
Players on my own faction threaten to report me for botting, and I tell them to go ahead.
I've never had a GM talk to me about botting.
I've once had a GM show up, mention that boxing is really fun to watch, and hang out for a couple of hours watching me...
Usually, I'd imagine they check to see that the names on the accounts are all the same.
But probably nothing beyond that.

I play 4 (Tank, DPS, Heals) and leave 1 spot for random dps... its the single dps toon i let in thats usually the worst one. Most of his time is spent wondering whats going on...

If you have similar names/toons how often would one get kicked from LFR just for being identified as a multiboxer? It's something I'm worried about as I have 5 druids with identical names levelling up right now. In hindsight it might have been better to give them all unrelated names.

In my opinion, its not whether you paid for the account that determines if its ethical to roll, its whether the toon that is rolling contributed its share towards killing the mob that dropped the loot. I can afk follow the healer on one account and would have no business A) not getting kicked, and B) rolling on loot - does matter I paid for the account.Quote:

If you want to do the tank/healer thing and you don't want to be kicked just have them join different guilds. I levelled a pally tank/resto druid combination and only once ever even told someone I was multiboxing. lots of autofollow with backing the healer out during bosses works fine for levelling. Occasional bickering between the toons works too. (Yes, I did this sometimes... I was VERY nervous someone would realize I was multiboxing. Now of course I don't care).
If you don't have mouse broadcast, (use tank rotation healing macros on your main keys of course) but also use the numpad with party1, party2, party3 macros. Something as simple as a flash heal keyed towards each party member should be enough to get you out of most situations.
Also, 5 man dungeon levelling healing doesn't have to be perfect! If you lose a dps here or there they will generally know it was their own fault for getting aggro or standing in whatever anyway.
This is what I would call common sense. It doesn't matter if a player is a solo toon or a boxer, as long as they pull their weight. Can't count the vast amount of idiots that got carried (in LFR especially) but won the loot. If you don't pull your weight as a boxer you shouldn't queue up in the first place with multiple toons, let alone rolling with all toons (I call that the parasite attitude, and their argument is that gear will cover their lack of skill). If you do pull your weight with multiple toons, by all means queue and roll!Quote:

only time i ever had an issue in LFR was in the first few weeks, even though i was top 5 or so usually on damage done and dps (5x arc mage) people would go emo before looting ever occured, if they would have taken the time to inspect they would have seen that i didnt need much (if any) of the gear that dropped, was primarily there for the fun, and a few pieces, but usually at the end of the boss and recount was shown, they shut up pretty quick, but like i said, in the first few weeks i would get one or two kicked here and there from morons, after that i started taking either another boxer of a few solo friends with me, so i could control the votes.
Agreed, I am 5/5 on all toons and just do LFR for the VP and gold. People still QQ about loot or drop group if they are in my token, it's quite funny cos I usually say to the remaining person for our token "gz on all protector loot"Quote:
