What race to chose for PvP

Hi guys. Im thinking about changing faction and server for my shamans. And I have a few questions...

Ive been thinking about orc, goblin or tauren for my shamans.

Tauren:
5 % more health (Passive)
5 % nature resistance (Passive)
Warstomp. (2sec stun on a 2min CD) But this shares DR

Goblin:
Rocket jump (2min CD, shares DR with trinkets)
Rocket Barrage (2min CD, shares DR with trinkets)
1 % more haste (Passive)

Orc:
Duration of stun effects reduced by 15 % (Passive)
Blood Fury (increase attack power and spell power)

Im leaning towards taurens for the warstomp, I can imagine 4 x warstomps in round robin could be usefull in smokebombs and right before hexing.

The rocket jump would also be pretty good for avoiding RoF, and jumping out of smokebombs. But does the rocket jump share CD with trinkets? Im guessing the rocket barrage still shares CD with trinket?

How much spell power do you gain when popping Blood Fury @ max lvl? Orcs seems more like a dmg booster race, compared to tauren and goblins.

Any thoughts?

War stomp can be really great if used correctly. But as a multi-boxer you really just want to be orc or space goat (80% heal on partner = amazing)

80 % heal on partner is good and all that. But since 1 smokebomb is enough to absolutely slaughter one of my shamans, Im looking for something to prevent that. Ive played 1500-2000 5v5 matches the last 2 seasons, and now melee cleaves and smokebombs seems impossible to survive. I could handle em fairly good in s10, but since the melee buff, new gear and MS buff shamans die to quick this season.

4 shaman isn't viable over 2200. No one has done it legit since cata.

Dont think its viable to 2000 either. Depends on your battlegroup tbh. Sucks that Ive put so much time into a team, only to see it being destroyed by 1500-1800 rated players..

in general you shouldn't start to multibox to have fun in arenas

it was fun in s1/s2/s3/s4/s7/s8 but cata is plagued with cc and interrupts and since we dont have an aura mastery totem (yet) dont expect a high rating, it took me 120 games in s10 to sit at 2080 with 60% wlr and no chance to get close to the 2200 although I had sometimes really bad teams but hey cc my entire team while killing the pally in another cc is no big deal these days - so I did further games for points cap against a guild mate (who possibly had some high mmr)

whatever so far things dont look bad for mop, at least most mages will choose coc intead of rof

Its only fun when you see improvements, but when it goes the oposite way :( Have you shelved your shamans for now Krusch?

Go Orc Female.

I made mine goblin because i thaught engineering + racial rocket would be OP. But damage is low, dont like the looks of my shamans and orcs racial ( stun time reduced, your shaman pets 10m cooldown do more damage and the spellpower buff is like a second trinket )

Orc female animations just look awesome, look at Aelli's videos hes orc female you can see the looks of him

I dont care about looks, only the best racials for PvP. Thats why Im leaning towards cows. But I might just wait for MoP to change my spacegoats to pandas

Have you looked at the Trolls. The ability for some on demand "Zerking" is nice for stacking abilities to get a quick kill. The CD is reasonable and when stacked with the +spell power abilities makes for some amazing DPS surges for when you want to train a healer.

Need survivability, not dmg :) the haste buff wont help me in a deep freeze/smokebomb.

You can macro pvp trinket & rocket jump to use them together. It's an awesome racial in arena.

584 sp for 15s from orc racial, if you have engineering that's another 480 int for 10s, which is combined about the amount of spellpower Flametongue weapon used to give.

Since you are alliance, did you look into stoneform from dwarves as a defensive ability?Def against rogues it should remove the wound poison that got buffed.

for now only 1 shaman active atleast until season ends

Remember, if you rocket jump, you fly in a straight line, so even if one of your characters is turned away by only a few degrees they'll be 10 yards away.
