question about char transfers

So I'll finally give in and use a creditcard online, on the verge of server transferring a bunch of toons. Have 2 questions some of you might be able to answer:

1) if I recall correct from reading this somewhere here, there was a limit on how many toons you can transfer at once, correct? I'm not sure if this was due to credit card protection, or just a build in 'feature'? If this is correct, anyone knows how many you can transfer at once? And what is the wait time before you can transfer the next batch? (i'm aware about the waiting to transfer a single toon again, but not talking about that).

2) the name on my credit card is slightly different from my bnet account (it's comparable though), is this a problem? Reason for this was when I started playing I made 5 bnet accounts (jon doe, john doe, johnn doe, etc), as I was not sure if it was even allowed to have multiple. Merged them soon after, but to the wrong spelled one, i.e. name is john doe but bnet is jonny doe).

Some people claim it's Blizzard and others claim it was their credit card company. I've never had an issue
with doing multiple transactions in a row except when creating multiple trials at once but, that had nothing
to do with credit cards at the time and it was IP based.

Shouldn't matter.

Ah cheers for the info. Called them if they could cut me a deal, and that dick didn't want to. Called them again, with a bit more drama, to no avail. Finally called them a 3rd time totally dramatic, and they agreed to meet me half way: II pay the server transfer (22 toons :/) and they get me free account transfers.

luckey! i tyed so many times and each time i get the same can not be done not going to happon we not got the system sometimes its a USA thing. where u from???

hmm am sure u play on eu realms i might just keep phoneing them untill they do something but am not moveing 22 chars so that might be why,

I don't think it matters what the name on the battle.net is vs credit card.

IE: what if your battle.net says John Doe and you use your Wife's card -- Jane Doe?

I think the issue is, when you separated characters from the old way (prior to battle.net). You needed the same last name on the new account the character was being transferred to (I assume this still applies if you transfer a character to a new battle.net account).

I prob just made this more confusing after re-reading what I just wrote, lol.

Someone else has done this before, was posted as well. totally worth it for that many toons and should be a discount option for when xferring multiple toons by default imo!!

Apart from that, I did the exact same thing as you with my multiple wow accounts, didn't name them the same, had slight variations. And I have also used a different named credit card (used my brothers and payed him back) when mine got stolen overseas and when I got back my accounts had all elapsed (I had put a stop on my card) and it was going to be 2 weeks until I had access to my own money.

To be fair I just robbed an old lady on the street and was gonna use the card I found in her purse.

Yeah I have moved 4 teams countless times and across factions. I'm done with that shit - too much money spent on things I don't need.

If I remember correctly, Blast3r got a similar deal when she moved a ton of toons to Kil'Jaeden.


Hope you like your new home. I'm with the others, done doing a lot of transfers / faction changes. (Although I did just transfer my priest off KJ :_X )

Basically I transfer the higher leveled alts from my 'other accounts' to 3 realms in total on my main account so I always have a few levelled alts to work from in the future on one of the top realms (for instance I have a deal to do rbg's on one realm with my shaman, and on other days/hours I've found a team on another realm on my dk). Figured to do it all at once and be good for the upcoming years. I'm really done with KT, it's just dead during the night and quite some mates I used to dabble around with left the game/Server.

Depending on the outcome of an application I'll decide which becomes my 'main' realm. Either joining a top progression guild that raids 24/7 when new content is released, or joining a more relaxed but high quality guild with mainly retired players that still goes 7/7 hard mode over time. Will see what happens over the next few days, I have my hope up.

Edit: main realm will be stormscale horde.

Shame to see you leave KT.
I'm staying there, I'm not experiencing the dead thing, but then I've no idea how it's on the horde side.

Some feedback: all went well and apparently there was no waiting time to use the same card. Just got a call from my bank if I was aware that my card got used a bazillion times for the same product on the same website ... 'yes sir, the idiot doing that is me' and we were all good.

I transferred around 35 toons to Kil'Jaeden a while back. I had to do a server move and faction change. I got lucky and found a guy at blizzard that gave me free faction change for each server move. However, he is no longer there and the girl who replaced him refuses to give any kind of discount. I was going to move my DKs and Mages over but now that would cost me close to $500 to move them.

I didn't have any problems with credit card errors. I had two battle.net accounts and he even let me move two tanks to a new account on another battle.net account. That guy was awesome.
