Made 5 new accounts with RAF all setup...

Now IF ONLY it didnt take so damn long to get trial restrictions removed lol...

I wasted my RAF the first time I had it. Not making that same mistake again, especially with the level cap on it raised to 80.

First team is 5 Mages since its the team I have started like 100 times and have only gotten as far as level 7 or so.

then its gonna go like this:

1x H Pally 4x Warrior
1x H Priest 4x Warlock
5x Hunter
5x Boomkin
5x Shadow Priests
Maybe a mixed team

who knows maybe I'll think of something else later.

But thats the game plan. First team of mages are name Barbiequeue x5 with accents on the other 4

will keep updated with level/progress etc :)

1pally + 4dk's is wicked fun, i think you would have the most fun with that. the 5x mage is fun too, but and this is a big one, make sure u got the gold to gear them when u get em to 85, cause it isn't cheap. thats jst my opinion btw

and OT but since ur redoing raf and got 90 days to burn em out, u should make a team on magtheridon with us in <the zerg> were pretty active with at least 3-4 boxers on at a time and sometimes as many as 8 or 9.

If you looked under my "WoW characters" you would see DK's in there ;) I already run a H pally and 4 Frost DK;s in PvP. The pally isnt under my characters though as he was added in afterwards.

If you're making new accounts to use RAF - that'll mean you'll have to buy 15 expansions right?

Well since they bundled the first two I will have to buy wrath/cata x5 since they do a discount if u buy them together. Wont be upgrading past BC til I have my first team at 70 since its gonna cost another $340 to bring them all up to cata. Good thing I work 50+ hours a week lol

Touche good sir. I Havent decided yet if I'm going to keep/transfer the DKs. For the cost I may as well close the old accounts for now and level all new DK/pally team as well as my 4 shaman.


The new accounts are all currently at the Battle Chest level so I guess I will level as many teams to 70 as I can by black friday and hopefully there will be a sale. Thanks for the tip.

Is it possible for all nationalities to benefit from "Black Friday"? I'm missing four times wrath/cata upgrades.

Can they be purchased online on "Black Fridays"?

Thanks to Jstanthr for helping out with cross-realm boosting last night... That shit is OP.

Made my mages on Mag and I am now officially a member of The Zerg

Currently up to SFK boosting with my mage, Colonpowers, from skullkrusher horde.

Instead of deciding on specific teams right now. Maybe you should boost all classes. That way you can make final decision on your teams later. I did this although it was back with RAF was only to 59. I'm jealous of the new one. Just a thought.

You mean boost 5x each class (boost 4 and grant the other) and then mix and match later? Not a bad idea i guess. Saves me from wasting RAF time thinking about teams so i can focus on boosting.

Yes, in your case I guess it would be five. I didn't link my "Main Account", so I was boosting 4 with a pally on my main. Did one team of 4 of each class (9) then granted toons in the 10th spot to transfer to my main opening back up the 10th spot for the dks. I probably did extra work but its nice having many different options when making a new team.

I also was only going to 59/60 but had plenty of time in the 90 days.

Well my "main" isnt linked either. I started 5 new ontop of the 5 i have and linked them A>B>C>D>E

When I boost the party goes: 85 mage, B, C, D, E

Then I will grant the chars on A up to match BCDE. this way the booster doesnt affect the xp gains since BCDE are all linked to eachother.

If I remember correctly this should work right?

If you haven't started the RAF yet, and don't have a lot of toons on Account A...

Consider linking like this:
A > B > C
A > D > E

Let's say you boost four sets of toons.
And then use the granted levels.

As an example:
A: Booster
B: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock
C: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock
D: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock
E: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock

You get them all to 80th, via Boosting.

C and E, each gained four toons.
Which is 320 levels...
Or 160 even levels gained.
So they can each give two full characters to B/D.
Let's say these are: Priest and Mage.

B and D, can do the same to A.
Except that A is receiving toons from both B and D.
So it is four classes at 80th, not two.
Let's say: Druid & Shaman from B and Paladin & Warlock from D.

That gets us... the Booster on A, plus:
A: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.
B: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock, Priest, Mage
C: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock
D: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock, Priest, Mage
E: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock

And because B/D each received two full characters.
They can each pass on another full character to A.
Call these Priest and Mage.

Lots of toons on A, B and D.
Two less on C and E.
Cascading the granted levels rocks.

Wish I had known this 2 days ago.

People who have done the "wrong" RAF chain, have had their links fixed by calling Customer Service.

Different RAF chains can work, it depends on what you want to do.
A chain of: A > B > C > D > E...
Will result in the greatest total number of levels across all of your accounts.

The cascading for the granted levels won't work as well.
You have four jumps, instead of two.
So instead of 2^2 (4) you need 2^4 (16) characters boosted for the cascading of RAF to work perfectly.

If you were planning on running several groups, without the aid of a booster.
Then you'd be leveling toons on A (in sets of five), at the same rate as you leveled toons on BCDE.
So when you level toons... say on ABCDE...
Your set of four toons would be:
A: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.
B: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.
C: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.
D: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.
E: Druid, Shaman, Paladin, Warlock.

The cascading of granted levels, would be...
Two toons (from E) to D.
(And two to C, two to B, two to A)...

But then one extra full toon...
From D to C...
(And one more from: C to B and B to A)...

And fractions of a toon (so not maximum level toons) beyond that.

Like before "E" doesn't receive any extra toons.
But overall, there are toons across all of your accounts.

So the:
A > B > C
A > D > E
Is not necessarily the best of chains.
But with a booster toon, I prefer the previous chain to a straight A > B > C > D > E chain.

I made the mistake of inviting all my 4 RAF accounts from A. Like this:
A > B
A > C
A > D
A > E

They are all linked on the same battle net ID. You say that I can call Blizzard customer support and change it to e.g. A > B > C > D > E?

This basically means that I'll have an awful lot of level to grant to A. Which kind of sucks as I'm using all character slots on my primary server :-/

Though, I'm fairly sure that I have been able to grant levels between B,C,D and E. I need to check up on that when I get home.

Ok.. So my ABCDE isnt bad, just gonna have to do some hand levelling to bring the toons on A to the full level as the rest. Being how easy levelling is now thats not too bad lol

Depending on what you want to do...

You could easily transfer an efficient booster, from an existing account to one of the newer accounts.
Then use the booster, to level your groups.

Not sure your situation or what would work best.
But a character account move is an option.
As is calling Customer Service to change your RAF link method; if you're polite, they can be extremely helpful.
