I'm glad that they're trying to make things right. But by the time they get the whole CQ, ship spinning, etc... stuff fixed I'll be playing SW:TOR.
Yeah i will definitely be trying it out but thats not for a few months, I was bored TODAY. So here I am =P
As far as the ship spinning / CQ thing I dont really think there is anything to "fix". They already let you disable the CQ if you want.
Maybe I'm wrong but it seemed like after they made the CQ switch, disabled or not, my computer was running a lot warmer.Quote:

What is CQ?
Captain's Quarters. Basically, when you spawn into EVE the first time now, you spawn into a room instead of spacedock. You can switch it to spacedock (the old normal dock screen) and it keeps it that way until/unless you go back.
More fully, its ambulation or "walk in station" which is an aborted expansion path for them wtih their recent debacle (supposedly).
Speaking of reactivation, anyone else had issues with the "Power of 2" extra subscription(s)? Mine barfed when trying to charge the credit card and now that new account is locked/broken. Not to mention having a petition open for almost 24 hours now with zero response from CCP.
i always have CC problems doing subs with eve unless i go through PayPal. but never had an account locked due to it.
It's not locked as in suspended, the web site reports "Service unavailable. Please try again later or contact support." They finally got back to me and made a few changes but still didn't fix the problem.
hopefully they get it working so you can get goggles on all your guys

One of the AUR purchasable items is a pair of goggles and they're affordable. You'll might have enough by default (the initial seed money) to get them or you can even buy them on the market. It's part of the incarna dress-your-character-up additions. The most notorious item is the monocle which is purposefully priced above all others to be used as a status symbol.
I successfully reactived 5 of 7 last night. The last two I had to use paypal because my CC was getting declined.
I didn't do the 5 days free thing. I clicked power of two out of curiosity and got some weird error message screen.
Sadly I was underwhelmed at my status. I thought I had better ships than I remembered, so now I have to accumulate about a billion isk to get where I want.
Also, don't skills train while you're inactive and not paying? 3 of my characters had 7 days left on a skill....but the last time I played was 7 months ago.
No, skills only train on active accounts. Also, CCP has had some billing system issues over the last several days. THey resolved it about 2 days ago from the ticket responses I was getting about strange billing problems.
I know that my bank gets a little suspicious of the charges going to iceland or whatever the hell it is and ive had to call them when reactiving my 5 before as well.
They disabled ghost training, probably largely as it didnt make any sense (i am surprised it existed as long as it did).
