i bought an item, and resold it after patch, wonder if i will get 4k from that
have they said exactly what amount of honor you need to have spent? i spent over 4k honor.. more like 8k and i don't get all that back.. 4k is still good, though since i can keep the pvp gear i bought and replace my other blues with shiny new perps..
although i have been playing since beta and i never got the last free thing they gave away last month for all subscribers.. jerks..
Their announcement was pretty generic. Even if you only bought a single item you're likely to get the 4000 honor point compensation.Quote:

Anyways if you spent ANY honor while we had the one week break between Season 9 and the first week of Season 10, you will be reimbursed 4k honor. This is to stop the people whining that they did not announce the new honor gear would be 371 after season 10 started.
For our lack of forewarning on the inclusion of new item level 371 gear with Season 10 we’ll be providing the previously announced (http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/2794770941) 4000 Honor Point compensation during scheduled maintenance on July 19.
During maintenance, 4000 Honor Points will be automatically applied to all characters that spent Honor on any item level 365 items following the release of 4.2, between the June 28 and July 5 maintenances.
The compensation Honor Points given will be able to go over the point cap, but anyone who goes over will not be able to earn more Honor until they spend under the 4000 cap. Any Honor over the cap will need to be spent before the start of Season 11 when it will be converted to gold. Any characters receiving the compensation honor will also receive an in-game mail explaining the compensation and additional details.
Again, we apologize for not communicating the item level 371 gear introduction, and hope these 4000 Honor Points will offer you some help in obtaining the correct items.

Maybe they should have done a sliding scale so those that bought 1 or 2 pieces would get less honor, but fuck, I bought 5 pieces all for more than 4k honor. This free 4k honor isn't going to replace those 5 pieces, maybe 2 or 3 if that. Never mind the enchants + gems. I'm glad they're doing this but by the time it gets done I probably won't need it. Hopefully I'll be able to use it to buy my last piece or something.
Not including the gold people spent on chants and gems. That wont be reimbursed.

My entire point is you didn't spend any honor on shit that was upgraded the next week. You didn't buy any 365 items and then had to see the 371s come down for the same price, same currency the very next week. So no, I don't think you deserve the 4k honor they're giivng out since you still have your 4k from before the gear swap. The 4k they're giving out is a reimbursement. To get a reimbursement, you typically have to spend something.

Honda replaces my 2010 honda with the 2011 honda for the same price and without warning and with no way to refund or upgrade to the new honda.
People are mad that Honda replaced the brand new available 2010 honda with absolutely no warning with a better mode after only 1 week on market.
People complain.
Honda gives a sum of money back to the consumer to be used towards the 2011 model, it is 1 amount to everyone. 4000$ to be exact. Some people bought 700$ cars. Some bought 20000$ cars. Everyone only gets 4000$.
People who bought the 2002 car are not a part at all of any point of this scenario.
So you get the 365 items and another 4k. You are further ahead than me. I saved 4k honor and waited for new season even though I needed the 365 items. So now you most likely have more gear than me for FREE. Sorry I don't feel shit for you. However people like Pinot that had their conquest points converted to gold, I can see that being reimbursed. Also real world examples are stupid, that car example made no sense. Anyone that got a 2010 Honda would be SOL in real life.Quote:

Here's what should have happened for the repay: Take any 365 item that was bought between and convert it to 371. Anyone that stockpiled conquest gets it all back as honor points. Simple.
Such a simple thing. Blizzard made a decision. No one in these forums had anything to do with Blizzard's decision. So why the fuck are people getting their panties in a bunch yelling at each other?
Blizzard fucked up and no one is happy. Working as intended.

Yeah that 'd been the ideal solution. Blizzard stated they can't dp that since they didn't track the data needed to do this, else they would 've done it. Much better customer service, less qq and probably less work.Quote:
