Got the 4DK 1HP to 85 this weekend. Been grinding honor in bg's and Tol Barad. Tweaking my setup in between.
What do you guys grind in that 5-10min between bg's popping?

Argentum tournament dailies with one team. Gives me some serious gold from selling the horde factions pets on the neutral AH.
Archeology / herbs / ore / whatever I need to raise professions mostly solo with other toons while 4 sit in Orgrimmar. WotLK ore and all tiers of leather seem to be money makers on my server.
I usually stand in Elwynn gloating, or hovering above Durotar looking for newbz.
Are you reliabably getting into TB? I have a problem with not as many of the opposite side slackers queueing up for TB, so there is probably only 15-20 at most in the big battles. I can't seem to get all 5 in since the other side doesn't queue.
I would wish so hard, that they made TB and WG red vs blue instead of factions. That way if only 10 of one side showed up, still 80 from the other could get in. I want 100-120 battles again. If you are on the side that wins (either offense or defense) you get a buff that lets you go in BH or VOA. That would encourage people to actually have to go fight intsead of just waiting until their faction win-traded to go. An automatic trading WG or TB doesn't seem like a fun experience.
I've never gotten more than 2 of the 5 into a TB.
So I stopped queuing for TB.
It kind of sucks that there are 4x as many alliance that pvp as horde.
Which means roughly a 25% chance to get into anything that is number capped on my server.
Conversely, any non-capped world event such as Hellfire pvp, is held by the alliance 99% of the time.
I've not logged into warcraft in a couple of weeks.
I'm at my dad's place, doing preparation work for the summer fruit season.
So not a lot of casual online time.
When I was logging in, it was for arena on the team.
And then the odd battleground.
Occasionally to do the alchemy transmutes, but its been at least a couple months since I was doing that daily.
Over the weekend, ya, I would say out of like 10 matches, only 1 or 2 matches I didn't get the full team in. Every game, I had at least 4 in the game.
I noticed the join as a group never worked. So I just broadcast, press H, mouse over the TB que, and everyone is clicking it the same time.
While I don't have a good suggestion for something to do between battles, I do have a tip for getting all 5 into TB.
The trick is this: You need to be the first to queue, so you better damn well know when there is exactly 14 minutes and 59 seconds on the timer, to hit the queue button at exactly that moment. If you're not AT tol barad, this means keep an eye on the timer and watch it count down for the last seconds with mouse broadcasting enabled and everyone's queueing window ready. If you are at TB, there's one less click, you just wait with mouse broadcasting right by where the Accept box is going to come up when it asks if you want to queue. (Join as Group does not work)
Another popular question is how to keep your guys in the same group. One trick is to be the first to enter the battle. Again, watch the last few seconds of the countdown and have your mouse waiting right by the Accept button. The second the Accept button pops, click it.
If you're the only crazy bastard staring at that counter waiting for the exact instant, you are going to get into TB, and you are going to be group 1. The first timer (to queue) is most important because it's first-come first-served (you know, like the definition of a queue) and the rest of your guys just won't get in. If you are queueing 1-3 minutes after TB is queueing, it's probably already too late depending on the time of day.
Highly recommend TB to people gearing up even for heroics. Got me the TB weapon upgrade the other day, easy upgrade to 346
Nope, its random. Gamemasters told that since December 2010. I can approve that, i queued often at 14:59 and i queued @ 1:00 ... no difference.
It depends on how much populated your faction is.
Mostly i got 2 toons into TB. So it seems there are about 100 player in queue per Tol Barad.
What I do in-between BGs and TB, I just ruin the life of anyone from horde who has decided they want to try and do TB dailies on my watch.
As for getting into the same group in a TB battle, just ask the leader for assist and move your guys around in the raid. Not 100% sure if this still works, you used to be able to kick people from the raid and invite your own toons if they were in a seperate raid group, but that got changed.
I've never had problems getting an entire team into TB or WG.
If I do on the odd occasion, I just camp the roads outside our spawn point hoping they'll get invited soon.
There obviously is going to be sides that have an advantage of getting in. I am saying, I am on the side that is disadvantaged. We have more of my faction than the other, so the other side should pretty much always get in. I wish they would make a outdoor battlespace that let everyone is that wanted in, no matter faction. I want bigger battles.
For the people that responded, (if you let me hijack the thread a little), do you have more on your side or not (higher population of your faction)?
How many people do you normally see in TB/WG (10, 40, 80, etc)?
And if they can let same factions fight each other in rated BGs, would you have a problem with mixed factions in outdoor battle areas? A faction can't throw the fight, since it is random which side you show up on, and you need the buff to get into BH/VOA, so it hurts you to lose.
One other thing I have done in the last week is the old Oracles dailies. 2 of the 3, I just refuse to use that dude to go around on 4 of my toons to collect the "shinny things". I noticed on my main paladin, the egg is now a 3 day duration and not 7 now. So, a few more days and they will all be seeking that mount :D
On Kilrogg, Horde out number alliance, again, I am usually able to still get almost all my toons in every match. I think Horde wins more TB than the alliance; however, it seems more even then WG was.
