So, where has the EVE community gone? I'm still paying in World of Wormhole. :)
i've been playing Rift lately, but its start to get boring like wow did.
Still banging around. Just started two new accounts (5 boxing now).
Still in High Sec. My mission runner just made it into a drake this weekend and I've been trying level 3s.
I like Eve a lot but for some reason I can never hang for more than a month or two, every 6 months or so.
Just activated a few more old accounts but am mission running and trying to start a trading career with my Orca pilot.
I have 4 accounts active and payed for several months but dont really play EVE currently - just keep them skill queues filled.
I've had to stop playing because of real life concerns, in another week I'll be gone for quite a while. It's a shame because I've really enjoyed the small close knit community here.
I'm logging in long enough to kick off long-term skill training while I'm trying out Rift.
I'm still here. I've been running my trio in a hisec mining fleet while I humor the gf by playing wow for a month. I've found even with my attention divided, I can still out level the gf. She hates me.
I've also been tinkering with PI, but I'm increasingly getting discouraged by the yields in hisec.
Your wormhole is starting to look inviting. lol
It's not knowledge of the game she lacks... It's focus. Over the past 5 years, I've tried to get her to level up a toon with me. But she can't stand questing with me because she says I'm like a drill sergeant or something. "Put down that flower!" "Just accept the damn quest already, I swear the text is still the same it was the last four times!" "Oh Christ! My face is getting eaten by a bear! Why aren't you tanking this shit!"
We won't even talk about the arena 2v2 team I made once. That one erupted into a shouting match when she won't focus burn the healer with me.
No.. We're much happier questing in the same zone together, sorta, kinda. But never grouped up in the same party. At the end of the day, I'm just thankful that she likes to play games as much as I do.
You didn't put '...' after that sentence so I'm not sure if you're being subtly funny or accidentally funny...
i'm never funny on purpose...
but it's true when you have a third person to blame everything on it makes things more fun :)
Still here. Waiting on Covetors for my 3 new miners, 7 days left, then I'll start mining again to buy them hulks.
Went back to Gran Turismo 5 meanwhile, I bought a gaming chair for it and my g25 :D
I'm new to actually multiboxing Eve. I've had multiple acccounts for a long time. My highest SP char is close to 6 million now.
What do you guys think is the best use of multiple accounts?
So far my main is combat/astrometrics and headed towards cloaking ships and more wormhole activities.
1st alt is mostly industry and refining but I recently decided to get him into a ship so he could do combat missions with me
2nd alt is strictly combat at the moment.
I guess the issue might be, for all my combat skills, I'm flying three different races of ships -- all which have different combat dynamics. Is it silly do do minmatar / caldari / amarr together or will that provide me an advantage because of the diversity?
For me drone boats are the way to go for mission running. On some missions you can get full room aggro on your main character and have the others guard or assist him with drones. This works really good if you like to afk mission. You have to be a lot more careful in missions with spawns or triggers however.
Thank you Duane
i de-activated after i was the only one in the db.com channel for a week or so. i thought everyone quit and went elsewhere. and i got my team into 4 hulks and 1 orca and that was my "mining goal" and then it got boring a little.
i dont understand how you guys can ever mine safely in a hulk, can't a cheap ass huricane kill you in 1 or 2 round or artillery for a suicide gank of massive isk spent/destroyed ratio? it happened to my friend but for all i know he doesnt fit his hulk right or turn on modules.
A gank fit battlecruiser can kill a hulk fairly easily but in hisec their ship will get concorded and depending on fits they may or may not succeed. When mining you have to keep an eye out for potential gankers. Operating in a quiet system helps a lot and there's plenty of those around.
Overall mining is a pretty poor activity to spend any time at in EVE, it's only worth doing if you can do it semi AFK or very intensely by multiboxing a fleet and stripping a belt as fast as possible.
I quite enjoy mining, but I do it with 6 hulks+Orca+Hauler so it keeps me occupied, even more so if I fire up my 3 Macks+Orca in hisec too. Don't no if it's any good for making isk yet because all the minerals went into building our Orca. Now that's done I have to decide wether I'm going to build a Rorqual or start selling the minerals :)
Might come back, donno. Was fun to playing the 4 pilots and not too hectic.
Getting too old i think, or maybe its that all the games im cycling around in are super old. Wish something kick ass would come out.
Rift had potential.
Star Wars: The Old Republic next methinks.
Just got a free 45 days pass to Star Wars: Galaxies, so indulging in a bit of nostalgia :)
I'm back to boxing four toons:
1. CNR/Golem/Rattlesnake pilot
2. Domi pilot
3. Domi pilot
4. Orca/Noctis pilot and trader
I'm down to my last two hanger spinners until their subs expire. Still no idea whats going to be happening the rest of this year.
Im back to playing my 8 toons, started back up last night, after buring out on rift.
Im training. Real life stuff. Trying to get innernet to work.
F this reactivating when I get home. Morganti you still rocking?
Not really rocking, but still playing. The rest of CTR has evaporated from the wormhole, so I'm currently in the cleanup stage of wormhole living before moving back to hisec. Gonna try to use all I've learned and optimize PI there to keep paying for accounts.
Eve is a rough one... it can be an awesome game.. but its really one of those " what you put into it " type games. The fun isnt going to come to you.
Maybe I should look into changing my MO in the game so I dont get bored and quit again.
I wish they had announced that dust game for PC too... who the hell has a PS3?
I know! What a mind numbingly stupid idea to put a game that integrates heavily with another onto a different platform.
What the **** are they smoking?
Just grab this http://www.pcworld.com/article/21791...ps3_games.html when it comes out and use it from your PC desk while you send yourself air support, hehe.
