Well,
Scanned out our WH today and all I found was one Grav Isolated Core Deposit for mining. But I can't even mine it! The damage it does, wipes out the shields and a part of the armor in 1 tick on my retrievers! So I cleared 1 comabt site in my T1 Drakes and now it's back to twidling my thumbs until my skills increase for T2 fit and Hulks :(.
On the plus side, at least i've figured out Scanning :)
To do this site you generally need a repper with you or enough take to tank between 500 to 1k dps active.
There are some hulk/covetor fits that can suffice but they require some faction gear to have a safe buffer.
Yeah looking at a hulk fit for these, they have a shed load of ore that NEEDS to be mined
Packaged Hulks are small enough to fit in a hauler and can be brought into the wormhole. They don't have to be built inside.

i'm waiting on the same thing, i didn't know it took 2 months to get into a hulk or i would have started training sooner instead of messing around with battleships and battlecruisers.
but retrievers are decent, i did mine a whole asteroid field the other day by myself, took about 4 hours, 2 movies worth lol. made about 40 million though.
Yeah this is a common mistake. If you're going to train for Hulks it's often worth doing it using a buddy program invite and then transferring the toons once they got the skills you want - I've done this, a lot...Quote:

Shield extenders for buffer rather than Booster for tanking might be better - should be able to fit a large extender? (The Bustard can, I know that)
Is it pure EM damahe? That's something at least.
Alternatively how about a Noctis on hand to pull the cans out of the field with it's extended tractor range? Does the DOT occur on the whole grid or just within X KM of a point?
i.e. If you warp in at 100km do you still take damage?
It's purely EM damage, so 70% resistance with the scatter amps should be enough. I'll look into extender over booster, have some already in WH. Not sure about range of it though
Hmm in case you didn't know a rohk can outmine a retriever so if you can fly that it maybe better to use it esp till you can get to hulk. Just thought I would let you know way better tank on rohk then retriever and can outmine it.
