Fastest way to level(im sorry its been posted a million times)(5-BOX)

hey, firstly sorry, i know it has been posted a million times, but i just cant seem to find any good information on how to level a 5-box group. All my chars(1 paly/4 shamans) are level 15 at the moment, and i just cant seem to level them fast enough. Im alliance by the way.

I have a 70 lock and a 70 paladin and a 70 Mage on another account, with realtivley okaish gear, and i was just woundering, what would be the fastest way to level them? and how(meaning what spec should they go/ if im boosting what spec should the 70 go/ were should tehy go, ect ect)

TWO POSTS BELOW IS THE SAME QUESTION.

dual and 5 are diffrent, as with 2 you can boost with 3 all cahrs, 5 if you boost, 1 char will be left behind. also 5 you gain exp + as full group.

Welcome to the forums.
There are like... half a dozen threads on this in these forums about this same topic. If you can't find good info on it... learn2read, srsly.

Unless you really want another L70 Paladin, then I suggest you just take your L70 mage and boost your 4x L15 Shaman up as high as you can, then swap in the L70 Paladin and boost them more.


Also do make sure that all the accounts that you are playing are in your own name, same contact info, etc. Otherwise you'll be very sad someday.

cheers for that, ya i know i have read other threads, but like i said befor i cant find any good information about it, like you all say about boosting with the mage or a paladin, but were? and when? where should i bring them at level 15 to be boostest? and when after that ect? i know SM is an option, but at what level? and what is the most efficant way in doing so? So far i have been doing kill quests, and they just seem tedious and to far spread.

And with the paladin, i ment to say that i have those charectors at my dissposal(friends account) and they will be doing the boosting, with me playing the 4 other chars. We play in a internet cafe in my home town(around 15 of us) and we all play on the same server, I had a priest on it, and we recently just starting hyjal. But i have decided to do the multi box option, when not playing the priest.

And with your last point, dont worry all the information is correct, i know the conciquence(sp?) of not having them :)

YOU ARE NOT PREPARED (to box).

All those threads state when to run which instance ;p Even some semi-related lvling threads state as much, and you should simply -know- what lvls to do which instances just from playing WoW...in fact that's why I'm hitting instances too -late-, because 2.3 nerfed all the instances down a few lvls so I'm showing up late to the party surrounded by green mobs that used to be yellow+ at the same lvl lol

Bottom line is we want you to help yourself; you're gonna need that kind of self-knowledge and initiative to survive as a boxer, it's not all butterflies and epics and requires alot of research and trying things to see what fits you best ;p If you can't think on yer own yer gonna be in trouble trying to think for 5 lol

befor trying to troll post please read it fully. i Never said that i would play the account.

In any case, the fastest way to level is to quest. Use a guide like Brian Kopp's. It is well worth the money. The only possible alteration is you may want to skip collection quests, unless they are part of a good xp/item quest chain.

A lil off topic but I don't understand why you guys buy those silly guides when all it takes is a little common sense and maybe experience, and if absolutely necessary, wowhead.com, to quest efficiently :p

Or, when you could just DL them for free off The Pirate Bay or something.

Have you ever looked at those guides? I used Joanna's for a while and it tells you exactly where to go, which quests to pick up, which ones to complete first so that you visit each "quest area" as few times as possible. All the work has been done for you.

I've used these guides for ages - no point buying anything when these exist - I recommend the Jame's guides.

quest until your level 20, it is painful and then start the instance grind vc - stockade/bfd smgy smlib smarm smcath ulda zf marudon st
and so on, break up some rythim and goto a zone and sweep through the quests, like wetlands at 28, arathi at 35/40 stv mid/late 30s knock of a ton of quests and then go back and run some instances.

If you are going to power level yourself with a high level in instances this is the fastest way.

Make your character and hand level it 1-8. Once you have all the characters you wish to powerlevel run them as a group to Orgrimmar and park them in front of Rage Fire Chasm.

A paladin is the best class to use, the gear does not need to be spectacular but the better the gear the better you will do. If you have excess money laying around I would suggest buying Earthen Elixirs (These will be used at a later level).

The Paladin should be spec'd protection for maximum efficiency. You will want blessing of sanctuary. If you have sporegar rep get yourself the honored rep shield from there, each time you block you proc a dot that does 12 damage and stacks 5 times, throw a shield spike on that bad boy.

Your method is going to be to use the paladin to kite as much of the instance in one pull to your newbies as is possible and then kill it all off. A few tips that will help you if you do not have or do not play a paladin regularly. Learn to strafe run, this entails running sideways at all times while still moving forwards, this will present your shield to a good number of the guys chasing you allowing you to cut down the damage you take. Alternatively you can constantly jump and do 180 or 360 degree turns. When you do this you want to spend as much time airborne facing backwards as possible then flick forwards so you can continue to jump. Always keep Blessing of Sanctuary up, alternate between seal of light and seal of wisdom at need.

Now for the locations and my recommendation on pulling.

8-15 Rage Fire Chasm. This has to be a two pull. There are two distinct areas of the instance, the first area is made up of troggs, these guys are candy and you will quickly wish the entire instance was made up of troggs. Collect them all up, including the ones that are off to the side of the ramp and kite them back to the zone entrance. AoE them all down. Put your newbies on follow and take them to the ramp up to the Orc area. About halfway up this ramp you can leave the newbies behind as it will be safer for them there. Now you can go collect all the orcs, the orcs however will knock you down and as the pull gets larger it is possible to get stuck in a knock down chain that makes it difficult to move. The route I would suggest is to bare to the right while collecting the orcs. You will head up to the satyr and then you should drop down below. Heal if you need it and then run out collecting up the rest as you go. Take them as far as you need to so that your newbies are just below you on the ramp. Kill them and then go reset the instance.

15-20 Shadow Fang Keep. This overall is much easier than RFC and the knock down happy orcs. You will have to clear to the door so that you can unlock it so do that. Now move your newbies up to that doorway and leave them inside it just above the stairs that head down to the courtyard. If you have an under geared paladin you may wish to do the remainder of the instance in 2 pulls as it will entails a little but of doubling back. I did it in two pulls but I probably could have managed 1, I however didn't want to risk death and the time setback so I played it safe. There are two paths to take once you gather up the initial courtyard. One path that goes to the right past the butcher and then the path through the kitchen to the butcher. I would take the right path and gather everything as I made my way to just before the bats and Odo (I believe his name is). I would kill this group right here and then jump down onto the ramp right by where the newbies were. I would then make my way through the kitchen and all the way up to the big wolf Fenris. In that spiral ramp just outside of his room you are again close enough to your newbies that you can kill here and they will get the XP. I didn't bother with the rest of the instance.

20-40 Scarlet Monastery. The pulls here are a no brainer, you will be doing all of the Armory in one pull and Cathedral will depend on you having the figurine of the colossus.

Catherdral single pull- If you have the figurine you can pull the entire instance in one go. The method I would recommend is to pull one side of the instance on your way up, divine shield at the door, open it and then agro Mograine. He will trigger the entire Cathedral part of the instance, now you kite your way back down the left side. I would recommend that you jump off the fountain and tossing yourself a heal before you gather up the rest of the instance. Once you are in the entrance tunnel you can stand in the window sills to break line of sight to casters to force them to all bunch up on you. Pop figurine if you need it.

Cathedral two pull - If you do not have a figurine I would recommend you do it in two pulls but you may have the gear anyways to manage it in one. If this is so then refer to the above paragraph. If you decide on two pulling again use the same technique as mentioned in the above paragraph only skip opening the door and pulling Mograine. Clear everything outside, then do inside on a seperate pull, be sure to collect anything you may have missed first time around to maximize your XP.

I am currently at level 41 with my 2 replacement shamans at 20 hours played. It was a learning process for me as I haven't played this old paladin of mine in about a year and as such it can be done faster.

45-55/60 I intend to do strath for this. You will only want to do the undead packs and then reset.

It is possible to hit 60 in less than 2 days played power leveling in this manner. If I wasn't lazy i'd diagram the pulls but I am lazy so you are SOL.

Exactly, lazy bum :p I've got 3 70s and before I even had 2 60s I knew the quest areas by heart and just from doing them twice I know where all teh quests are and when to take which ones to lead me to the next place seamlessly, no silly guide required, just doing the quests ;p

This game is pretty easy, new minimap ?'s even easier. One thing I never can understand: Noobx: ware i quest? Some areas you go to tells you to go somewhere in advance of your level. IE: Questing in westfall sends you to redridge prolly before you can manage to do it, but it's a go there for one thing and come back. Like the defias series. See the greyed ! that means you are a level or few away from getting them. Just head back there. Now obviouisly they don't send you to every part, but how bout just a 'little' bit of exploration. Whoa, skulls and I'm dead, I'll come back in about 10 levels. Crap noob zone, no xp here. Sometimes easy area is next to a skull area. Picture me running across the river in Elwynn at level 7 or so. Ohh what's over there, a cemetary, cool. Instant death and a nice corpse run, at least it's close :P .Well, all of us displayes a lil laziness from time to time, but just walking around and looking, lets ya see some things you can do later. And why buy any quest guide, when some searching lets you find similar or as good information for free. (since we seemed to have started talking about levelling in general :) )

and others, ya i have a lot of leveling guides(joanna's/madcows ect) so would you suggest using them is the best bet? and just for the killing quests, as i cant see how colecting quests would be fun :P

Like i now how to play the game, (have 4 70s and a priest who finished BT) thats why i wanted to do 5-boxing as the game kinda got a bit boring for me. My shamans and paly are at level 25/24 at the moment, and i have decided to leave the paladin loose, and do the 4x shammy and me and my friend play together. i.e he would play paladin in the instace runs(boosting low instaces, play normaly high instaces) and do a areana team together.
