I would bet my left nut that the top 4 are from wintrading. I have wintraded before and that is what it looks like. It was smart for blizzard to remove match history, huh.

queue with another boxer or with a befriended 5 team (guildies?) at 5-6am in the morning on a weekday and guess who you'll meet :)

No i play Frost in arena, Blood DKs would be CC too much, i tried it but that were many looses ^^

i think the best specc in unholy ( nice stun and stangu rota possibl vs two heler combs) but i dont like it and with frost you have really hard burst and good range damage too

I have no DPS macros, sry, but its really important to reduce strangulate to 1 minute and use it often with the focus maro while you kill a enemy or the second healer or its really grat against frost mages

and the AoE freeze is pure gold but dont use HB then. when all my BE silence are finished, i used it often as AoE Silence too, but best is just trying

PS: I dont use NS, i need them for Obliterate, this can be really a heavy burst with DKs, i tried it wirhout Obliterate and with HB and NS but with Obliterate you make much more burst / damage

Actually I'm thinking that the 5 shaman team is better than the 4 shaman+healer
I was also close to 2k this season pre 4.0.6 but the problem is since everyone has full gear 4 shamans cant oneshot anything,5 shamans with the focused insight spec and using water shield+glyph should do well

But I cant imagine that 5 undergeared shamans can achieve 1900 without wintrading... who knows we cant see the matchistory, may hes just pro *roll eyes*

Its a good idea to not use NS, sometimes my characters also spam like 2-3-4 times NS because the cooldown is off. I also should change the glyph that HB adds the dot.

I was actually wanting to start a thread like this, where everyone could post the highest legit rank that they have achieved boxing this season.

So far, I have only been able to achieve about 1575ish. That does include some games with a druid healer friend playing while I boxed my dks. Normally I am playing 4dk 1 hp.

It really seems I hit a wall vs diversified teams who know how to CC. My games tend to all be one-sided slaughters, with me either losing fast or winning fast. Im still trying to get my HC and strangulate round robins to work properly and any advice for these would be appreciated.

One of the biggest problems I seem to have is just that no1 plays 5s. Most of the time when I do several mathces in a row I get the same team over and over. Alot of times the team is out of my league, but I get stuck playing it repeatedly. Which normally only makes it harder, since they figure out that I am boxing and try to use it against me.

This is exactly why i want to know resaults from ppl doing 3s. I used to 4x shammy at 1900 in tbc, but the 5s are so dead in warth and cata so i wont even go there..

Would be intresting to see how ppl would do in 3s if they started going that instead of 5s. Just 3x dps rushing and zerging down ppl asap. The dps is there for sure.

5's are pretty active on my realm pool. I play on Bladefist EU (PvP) and the queue's are max. 3-4 minutes. Sometimes you get insta queues.

now they are wintrading on monday and i must work -_-

i think the best way is everyone write a ticket

I tried removing necrotic strike from my dps macro, and i had more burst indeed. I lost too many games yesterday, it went awefull.

I also removed the Glyph that Howling Blasts applies the Frost Fever disease on everyone that it damages. So my hungering cold won't break (like it used to) but i notice that i only get frost fever now with Outbreak (applies all your diseases on the target). And i also glyphed in Icy Touch (frost fever does 20% more damage). But i'm not sure what to do now since i don't have frost fever up all the time like i used to. So its kinda a waste for the glyph.

(really weird that frost strike doesn't applies frost fever :/)

The thing is that i do have more burst dps at the start, and when a opponent gets dropped below 20% they got healed, and thats where my necrotic strikes came in handy. I still have problems with mages, fucking circle of frost...

I also made on my alts a Strangulate macro:

Not sure if it's working since i haven't been able to watch it clearly do its job. I knew it worked before cataclysm with my shamans for Hex. Anyone can verify that this still works? (Yes i do have Gladius).

Currently doing TB dailies for the strength on use macro. Bought new belt and bracers couple of days ago.

I think the future is bright for this comp. I used to play on tuesdays before the conquest points changes, now i play on wednesday and tuesday. Everyone want to get their points in the beginning of the week instead of 10 battles on the last day (like it used to be). I faced more teams that wanted to get rating and improve on sunday and monday then easy noob teams on wednesday and thursday.

Any suggestions? Love to hear them.

yes they work and you can even shorten it down to:

/cast [@arena#] spellname

Howling Blast is for me the best glyph, the frost fever damage is not important but the AoE slow from Frost Fever is important and not the Damage ( but play the DK like you want )

I hate RoF too -_-

Its important that you have a round robin macro in strangulate, the effect is reduced but sometimes it give you the time to kill the other guy and you have only one minute cooldown

BE Silence is realy great too ;)

And my Healer is not Holy, he is a Diszi ;)

My biggest problem, when i win the other team dont join arena again while i am playing ... and then i got really new / low teams and get only a small push -_-

Do you find a disc priest better/more efficient then a holy paladin / any other healing classes or is the guy a really good player?

And the strangulate macro, why dont you use mind freeze on RR? Or do you use round-robin strangulate on different arena opponents?

I also noticed that you have Glyph of Dark Succoror in your glyphs. Do you combine obliterate with death strike? Because they both use 1 frost 1 unholy rune. And do you use heart strike for blood runes? Im confused :P

Frost Strike doesn't apply disease, because it is the runic power dump.
Same deal as Rune Strike or Death Coil.

It's a toss up really.
Do you go Necrotic Strike (1 Unholy) or Obliterate (1 Frost & 1 Unholy).

The two different modes is a key element.
Either an IS Boxer toggle, with the same spam key.
Or two different hotkeys, calling slightly different spells.
That way you can switch from AoE_Pressure/Slow to CC/Focus_Fire and back.

You sure about that? I'm looking at the tooltip and it says any other damage than diseases will break it. I'm pretty sure the frost dot is considered a disease. You might be getting in an extra Howling Blast that breaks it.

Your deseases dont break Huntering Cold and i use Mind Freeze on RR; strangulate is for the focus target, Mind Freeze for the actuall target

In my eyes priest is better when i get the change to freeze all he can cast one or two Mana Burn and that is really nice and his shields are very strong

Sometimes you need self heal and the Dark Succor Glyph is perfect for that, when i need heal i dont use obliterate, i use dark pact and death strike and Frost Strike, its really many heal, the Lich i dont use for heal, i need it for fear or something else

Blood Runes sucks and i often use them for Blood Boil or Hearth Strike, me and Kruschpak checking atm it scarlet fever increase obliterate damage too but i am not sure atm

A nice macro is on every toon a full grip, Main grip Arena2, Toon Arena2 and and and

You grip them and then freeze them and your healer is a lil bit safe but dont use HB at this time ;)
