I think its about time i setup my multi-machine ISBoxer, or at least attempt to. I tried to do it with WoW, but i failscaded back to keyclone.

Of note, the option "Make game believe it is foreground window" is not required to broadcast to Rift.
In fact, on my system, I find the game x5 runs smoother without selecting this option. The background instances have terrible FPS, but the FPS is consistent, they still respond reliably to injected keystrokes and in large-scale battles, the main screen runs smoother (perhaps because background instances are so limited).
I should be more specific. It is required for mouse broadcasting to work 100% in Rift. If it is not set, you will not be able to broadcast clicks on NPCs for example.
With the option enabled, you should be able to just use ISBoxer's per-slot background FPS setting.

while im here anyway does anyone know how i can speed up my login? at the moment i log them in one at a time which takees its time, im just curious if anyone has found a solution to this?
ah yes. I noticed that without that option checked, sometimes (not all the time, odd yes) I would have to click twice to get my mouse click on an alt window to be registered when it was not the active window. I think it was just laggy behaviour.
It is nice to see how flexible IS Boxer is, and how you can adapt it for basically any game out there.
Are there any other MMOs that you can use FTL in? The last few betas i was using /target leadtoon, /follow. I had "cast on targets target "turned on, so they casted at anything my lead was targeting. But man, with FTL, the BGs were way more fun/ before, if my lead died, i would just let the others die so i could get them all back in action. Now i just swap and take out a few more punks while my dead guy rezes. FUN!Quote:

Will be resubbing to ISB today purely for Rift, after a long break from MMOs.
edit : resubbed today and got it working today 5 boxing very quickly using this guide.
Rift is predictably more demanding on hardware than WoW at higher quality settings.
finally did another 1 yr sub to isboxer, going to "attempt" to get it to work for me on multiple machines, then i might have to look into FTL to avoid the main gank not being able to switch fast enough.
My first attempt will get it to basically just work like KC with my 5 machines then ill have to move off from there. I have a lot of researching and reading ahead of me... :-(
Running like KC is far from the power of IS Boxer.
You could break repeater, so you have one version for keyboard repeater and another for mouse repeater.
Then have keyboard repeater on, all the time.
And mouse off, unless you toggle it on.
Run with Keymaps off.
And use the Blacklist/Whitelist.
That will be very close to Keyclone.
You'd be better off with Keyboard/Mouse repeater off, by default.
To set hotkeys for mapped keys, and run with Keymaps (groups of mapped keys) on by default.
Any key that you push with KC, that you want to go to all clients, make a mapped key that broadcasts to everyone on the same keybind.
But you can then have the slaves only (Window: All Without Current) do things, no need for whitelist/blacklists.
You can put toons into Action Target Groups, and use those as the target for whatever.
You can have a spread out macro, while everyone has the default in-game movement keys.
Mapped Keys are far superior.
Since it's beta I'm not going to play around with the FTL thing for now--I'll just continue to use a focus setup. Long term my major concerns are for UI mods.

The guide in my signature gets a basic understanding of Keymaps/Mapped Keys, a lot of the mapped keys are included in IS Boxer via the wizard now, but even still they show how to build your own mapped key to do whatever you want.
The process of using the mapped key pieces, gets the basic understanding of how they work, which can be adapted for pretty much anything you want to do.
And if you're not sure, someone might have an idea too.
And often Lax will add something in response to a user request.

I was able to finally see the difference between the Repeaters and Keymaps, and i see how much better keymaps actually are compared to the 1:1 broadcasting.
I was also able to follow your guide and break K/M Repeater into separate toggle keys which helps out tremendously. Currently have it setup with 2 machines, i need to finish adding the other 3 machines :-).
Time to explore further possibilities with Action Groups and Repeater Regions...
Anyone tried using the " ` " (Tilde) Button as a keymap? i am unable to get it to pass as a keymap, but it works fine when i disable keymaps and enable repeater, i also noticed it does not work if keymap is on and repeater are on.
The ~ key, is set to open the Console.
There is a walkthrough to disable that, on the isboxer site, in the guide section.
I use that key, with modifiers as my spread out macro.
Shift + Tilde ( ~ ).
And still have Tilde set to open the console.
when you click on your character set, one of the options is unchecked " in-game innerspace console hotkey" by difault it is the tilde key. Just check the box and make a new hotkey and it will free up the tilde keyQuote:

I Just set up ISboxer for Rifts. So far I am really liking it but I have a small problem. Almost at random the focus shifts from one window to an other. It does not appear to have any triggering event. I can be running fine with everything focused on my primary for 10 or 15 minutes then it swaps to my alt. This is not a big deal since I use the FTL setup but it is a bit annoying since my primary has all my gathering skills.
are you hitting ctrl alt 1 or anything like that those make it switch to each screen if i pres ctrl alt 2 it switches to screen 2 as the front screen
I must have been doing something to switch the screens. Since playing one session with constant switching I have now played 3 that were quite stable. I did reinstall Inner space and ISboxer as well as rebuilding my character set and key mappings so I am assume I did something in my setup that was triggering the screen switches.
While I've understood the basic concept of FTL, having actually used it last night for the first time, this feature (especially how trivially easy it is to setup under ISBoxer) is a thing of beauty.

Those macros look beautiful. Also, you could use @mark1, etc, instead of exact character names if you want to be flexible.

Is there any plan for a addon that makes the macros for you? cause I'm far from tech savy in every way and coming from WoW to Rift is a big jump in setting up IsBoxer and whenever I tried using the guide. half the things it wants me to do, do not show. I've exported the stuff to InnerSpace and everything. I've restarted both to make sure and nothing... really feeling less and less user friendly.

I use only two macros for IsBoxer. One for assist and one for auto-follow. That is like 0.001% of the setup for multiboxing in RIFT and not quite worth the effort... How long does it take you to hit Ctrl+C/Ctrl+V a few times? You will need a lot more macros for just the gameplay and these are highly specific to your spec and needs careful planning.
I use probably 40 macros on each character for various in-game abilities. I've actually run out of in-game space, so I've started re-using macros for many different souls. Like having a single macro for mouse-over insta-heal for all souls that have insta-heal capabilities. RIFT will skip over abilities that are invalid in a macro, so a single macro can work for many different specs.
