Small Distraction

here is my latest group

DK, Lock, 2x Mages and a Priest.

I have put together this group as I have recently been converted and picked up ISboxer. the low level is a nice introduction to getting to know the in's and out's of the product.

these are running nicely on my new machine on ultra settings for the main (60fps) and medium for the slaves (30fps) @ 1,920x1200) over 2x screens

This group will mainly be used for PVE.

Currently levelling the 4x lowbies solo to 10, and then boosting up to 58.. no RAF ( i have enough accounts all ready - 8 at the last count :p) started levelling them together, but the initial collection quests where easier to run solo.

will keep you all posted with screenies on thier progress

UPDATE:

10-20: Run Deadmines and SFK - I really like the new system of quests inside the instances.

Picked up skills and riding, now parked up outside Scarlet Monastary

Love the names

Gotta think of an appropriate guild name... Something along the lines of "stop looking at my smalls" or gnome related :)

Someone had a screenshot with <Troll Snack>, which looked good.

Keep us updated on the boosting progress, where you went how it was... how long you stayed. The old path was so nice, pretty fast SM-Cath and Scholo... oh well.

I know there are updated guides... just like hearing first hand as someone progresses.

team now at 38 - swapped in a lvl 80 druid to speed up the boost, rather than running sm with a 58 DK.

36 runs of SM - various combinations of all 4 instances. the team has now hit 38. (looking trendy in the sm gear http://eu.battle.net/wow/en/characte...llhealz/simple )

time to checkout the new Scholo, Strat, & ST

Dungeon breakdown:

38 - 42 Scholomance (8 Runs)
still quick to run as before, shame the mob levels have been reduced, so you cant spend as much time in here now. can be run in 8-9 minutes with the right booster (so you might want to loot to waste some time)

42 - 48 Stratholme (2 clears both sides + 12 on undead only)
better Xp per hour running the undead side, no mount drop though :(

48 - 50 Sunken Temple (12 Runs)
now as this is instance is now only one level, toons can be left at the entrance, and only moved to the centre of the room before the final boss fight with the shade of Eranikus. keep note of the time taken on this one, loot if required otherwise you will be hitting the dungeon time lockout.

50 - 51 Black Rock Depths (1 run so far)
due to the size of this instance, i'm getting a full level per clear @ 50. may run this a couple more thimes then hit Lower Black Rock Spire untill 55 then onto outlands (via warlock port - as the dark portal only works at 58+)

Nice progress.

I'm curious, have you been using Jamba Quest Watcher at all for the quests in the dungeons? If so has it worked ok for you? If not, sweet as.

the quest watcher is working fine, comes in very handy for keeping track of pickups :cool:

Status Update

51-55 Lower Blackrock Spire (5 runs)
nice easy run for good xp and drops (got all characters equipped with Worg Pup and Smolderthon Spider pets)


Now at 55 and in parked in Honor hold gaining some rest XP before starting Ramps.

(were summoned to outlands by one of my other warlocks, as the portal doesn't work untill 58)

will probably run ramps until 58 then quest for the basic starter items & most of the non collection HFP quests, then onto Sethekk Halls untill 68.

i have been following your progress. I like these kinds of threads.

Slightly off topic question: are 80+ toons reliably immune to the stuns and fears in sethekk halls?

I have only ever boosted with an 80 (never an 81-85) in Sethekk Halls, and occasionally you get caught by the charm totem, but the toons are nowhere near the action so to speak so is only a mild annoyance. Fears are more frequent but only really seem to happen in the room that you use to summon Anzu, stuns are about the same as charm effects , not really woth bothering about.

Update:

went to run Ramps and got the message "you must be lvl 57 to enter this instance"

so much for trusting the data on wowhead.. said you could access at 55.

trudged back to the "real world" and did 2x runs of Upper and Lower Blackrock Spire (as the quests had now opened up)

I had set my hearth already to Honor Hold, so once i hit 57 I could hearth back to Outlands.

did a quick run of Ramps before having to call it a day..

It used to be 55th.
But became 57th with Cataclysm.

Smallz are now at 60 :D

time played 2 days 20 hours 6 minutes

took 11 runs of Ramps to get from 57 to 60 (no rested xp)

I'm boosting a lot of chars myself atm.
got 3 accounts full but most only level 66 atm

I did ramps up to 63, then got to around 66 in settrek halls or mana tombs.
Keep your alts at max range, like almost a full room behind due to the mind control totems or you could prolly just macro a /tar totem
/cast frostbolt or something
But I just kept max range.
Mana tombs is nice for the quests in there and I also went there for the enchanting fortitude on boots recipe for leveling enchanting, try to keep the pulls small if you got a lot of priests in the group, they heal a lot.

toons now parked at Valance keep (lvl 68) - played time 4 Days 42 minutes

60-62 Questing in Hellfire Pennisnula (inc 1x Ramps & BF for quests)

62-64 Zangamarsh (inc Slave pens for Quests)

64-65 Terrokar Forrest

65-66 Nagrand (inc ring of Blood)

66-68 Sethekk Halls 10 runs (took me to 20% into 68)
