I'm making over 2k gold/hour by just selling glyphs atm. Being able to post on 3 chars at once is mental.
Yeah, I thought I was prepared, with 2 stacks of every glyph, but sold damn near all of them already. WTF? Wish I'd made 2 or 3 times as many.
Got a lot of hate tells I think but I couldn't really hear them over the sound of all the gold raining down...
Well I spent like 4K on WotLK herbs and made like 40 stacks of ink of the sea, putting them out at 700g a stack, hope I sell some.
My guy is only 375 (level limited) so I kinda missing the bandwagon. Took me a while to find 5.9 of auctioneer so I could even post lol .... why dont people get thier bata updates to curse asap?
On the topic of APM, I can't get it to post at ANYTHING other than my threshold price. I have disabled all addons and it just posts at the threshold price. I'm sure there must be a bug.Quote:

Gems skyrocketed from 40-100g (prior to 4.0.1) to 175-300g on patch day.
And seem to be somewhere in the 80-150g range now.
Averaging 2.5k a day, currently.
Was lucky to make 1k prior to the patch.
And was doing 5k a day, on patch day and the next couple of days.
I list 3-5 times a day, using the Cancel function to remove anything I've been undercut on.
Glyphmas is definately over, I'm down to only selling 5-10 a day and am not going to bother posting glyphs for a month or two into Cata.
Not on my realm. Still selling glyphs worth 8-12k a day, more last weekend. There are a shitload that sell in the 70-100g range.
How would I start in the glyphing business? I would only need one scribe right?
Training inscription to max level and I'm there?
Then you need to learn glyphs. You can learn 1 minor AND one "major"(since it's major or prime now) each day. So the sooner you level it the better.Allthough i have no idea what will happen when cata hits and how many new glyphs we'll get.Quote:

Inventorium works with ATSW. Inventorium has some nice features even though its just getting going.
Several inscription toons can do more research per day.
But it is random what you get.

I have 3 lvl 1's with 4x Pack of endless hides to do the posting, since you will need more then 8x 32 slots to hold all glyphs once you know all. The major problem of this is that restocking your glyphs became a PITA. It is/was possible to manage some with addons, but i never bothered. I mailed all glyphs i had on bankerA to my Scribe and recrafted what was needed. That's the biggest timesink in Inscription if you ask me.
Tiptoptip: Pack of endless hides is used to level up LW several levels, so you'll often find them dirt cheap on AH.
This is an excellent strategy, and if the banker toons are on the same account as your scribe you can use one of the inventory add-ons to see exactly whohas what and how many of each glyph.Quote:

You can have each alt take care of the glyphs for 1 or more class. Makes it a bit easier to manage restocks.
Do you think I will have totally missed the boat for Glyphs?
I'm never going to be able to get all professions before Cata. I'm going to do some Scholomance grinding to get the PBDiamonds since they sell for 600G on my server, and then lump it all into one profession. What do you think?

I leveled Inscription after the big 4.0.1 push and I'm making about 25-60g per glyph. I've made about 7000g only half ass posting and creating new glyphs in about... a week and a half. I buy northrend herbs for 20g-30g a stack, mill them down to inks, create what sells well for me and post them. I'm also on a high pop server so your mileage may vary. Just make sure you figure out your cost for herbs per glyph comes out to, then you'll find what you can easily pay for a stack of herbs. My numbers atm are coming out that I can pay 35g a stack for herbs and still make at least 300% profit when the glyphs are sold. The market is really slowing down atm on my server. So I may just be coming into the tail end of this. Last I spent 4k on herbs that someone had posted for 20g a stack, which is crazy low for my server. I bought up everything and reposted it at market values and I've made back my cost within 10 hours and I have about a quarter of the herbs still sitting on the AH.Quote:

That's how i split it up, alphabetically and rogue and warrior both have fewer glyphs then most other classes, so that's usefull.
Included a screenie from checking my mailbox + auctions 10 minutes ago. This is gained over a 2 hour period, by just reposting expired auctions from the day before. Now I do my 'daily' round of buying all herbs on the AH, mill them, see what high priced glyphs I don't have atm with APM, go to dalaran to trade inks, craft them, mail them to alts and list them.
Before I log off for the night, I cancel undercuts and do a relist. All in all about 1 hour of work in total per day for anywhere between 6-12k profit.

I use 3 glyph bankers as well, all on different accounts, another for enchanting scrolls, and 1 more for other stuff. I had the glyphers on one account in the past (for crafting convenience), but it took up too much time, especially when doing cancel/re-post cycles. Now I log them all in to Stormwind at the same time, collect mail, interact with target (Auctioneer Jaxon) at the mailbox (works through the wall), and post with 4 toons at the same time.
MailOpener will continue opening mail if you're busy doing something else so you don't have to hit open mail every time it refreshes. This way I can browse for materials on 1 character while the others are collecting mail (no attention required).
If you use Altoholic, and only share your glyphers inventory with your scribe, it usually takes less than 1 minute.
Inventorium is a new addon made to take the place of KTQ and setup a lot like Quick Auctions. You can use skillet, gnome works or Advanced Trade Skills Window to set up the crafting queue. If you only want to create items that are above a certain price you can use Auctioneer, Auctionator, Auction Lite, or Auction Master. The author is still developing it, but its still one of the best/easiest to use that I've seen. The nice thing about Inventorium is its supposed to do all professions and its easy to setup. So far I've tested it on glyphs and enchants, but plan on implementing it for blacksmithing, leather working, and tailoring.
