The problem I'm having is my hunter pulls aggro from my druid or his pet. Is there a macro i can use that when pushed, the hunter will automatically go to "shooting" range?

What level? You could make a disengage macro.
Yeah disengage should work aslong as you dont have strobing on.
just be aware that if your hunter was sitting behind your boomkin (i.e. you were boomkin tanking), disengage now means you'll be a LOT further behind the rest of the team, so auto-follow etc may not work once the mob is dead. Honestly, FD on the hunter and re-position with the boomkin is probably a better way of doing this.
If you were using the pet to tank instead, the you should be BM spec'd anyway - for increased pet everything - and then with the right pet (i.e. bear) you should never be able to jack threat regardless.
You may be able to "simulate" getting out of melee range by using other stuff like Disengage (when it's not on cooldown) or holding a key down to back him up, but there is no way outside of illegal botting software to actually command your toon to run out to shooting range with a keypress/macro.Quote:

I would focus more on the pet than on the hunter. Pulling aggro once in a while, is no big deal, just feign and the hunter should already be behind the druid, which should be way back from the mobs (20-25 yards). For the pet, pick a tenacity pet. Give it:
Charge to get it far out in front also adds damage for next attack.
Culling the herd (use it last like 76-80). It is nice, but not really required compared to other stuff.
Thunderstomp adds AOE damage and should be really repeatable.
It helps if you are BM so the pet gets more focus and has a lower cooldown (Longevity).
Guard dog helps get more threat.
Wild hunt gives more AP which should help with threat.
Those are the ones that help with threat. There are plenty more that help with the pet surviving.
Also you can lead off with smaller attacks and build up. Just for thoughts.

Make sure you make a macro that sends your pet first if you aren't sure about aggro:
For hunter:

For druid:

You won't have to use it all the time, just when you are sure you want the pet to have aggro.

Go BM, have a key setup for FD easy accessible and keep Aspect of the Viper up. Topping dps is not something you need to focus on till endgame and the tank is well geared to keep from anyone pulling aggro. Plus the infinite mana pool is nice for less downtime. Here's the dps macro I used on 2/3 of my Hunters once I got all three abilities.

My setup was different tho, I had 3 bears on my Hunting party tanking with a Disc Priest leading the charge. Old world instances were cakewalks, even at level for the instances, but Outland proved to be a challenge, then Northrend was no way in Hell. I pugged tanks and quests the way to 80. If even then you still keep pulling aggro, send your pet in to attack first, keep Hunter standing by, then start shooting. Put the Hunter's dps button on a delay.
I'm not sure I understood this post, but is it about keeping your range guys at a distance?
I have this issue also, but I don't understand the respones.
If I'm tanking with slaves on follow, I want my guys to stop following while I run to the mob. I try just hitting spell cast, but they stop casting and start following again.
Whats the solution? Hit up on keyboard then hit spellcast?
You should make a way to move your alts. There are proably 4-5 different ways to do it so pick one that works for you. I have a button that just moves my alts backward or forward without moving my main. I use the arrow keys to move all my chars. You can just press the movement key just for a sec, and your alts should break follow. That is how you park your chars.
The post as I understand it is, "My hunter is pulling aggro and I can't keep him at range to keep shooting". Parking his hunter does nothing since even if he could move all around, the hunter is still pulling aggro. He will just constantly be in melee range. If he works on not getting aggro on the hunter, he will be at range all the time.
You can use the same button on your main and your alts to do two different things. Maybe your main is a warrior tank, on the button you use for charge on your main, you put move back on your alts. So when the warrior charges, the alts get parked.
Other things that break/don't break follow. Sitting won't help, they will just stand up. Jumping doesn't do it either. Pretty much any movement works, doesn't have to be just forward or backward. Strafe, rotate, etc work. Moving up or down when swimming or flying breaks movement. So if you are trying to get out of water onto a ledge, and you jump thinking, that will help, it breaks follow. So you have to do jump, then follow, then jump, then follow and hope one of them lands.

I wonder if its possible to round robin key mapping. First press break, second press DPS. That way you don't have to press the back button whcih is so far away from the dps buttons.
Sorry if I've hi-jacked the thread! I'm not sure if I'm staying on topic or completely on a separate issue.
IF the arrow keys are too far away then use the strafe keys.
I usually press e (right strafe, turns off follow), then start pressing my numbers which are opener on my tank and spells on my dps.
