Are you going to level them to 60 and do the old raid content?
You should contact Lax directly to discuss proper licensing if you need to use more than 5 PC's. I guess you could chat with SamD and see what his hardware setup is, now that he is using IS/IsBoxer.

You do realize that AV will be scaled down in this and 2,5 month (or whenever cata will hit) to 25 man instead of 40 man right? And that the maximum amount of people you can queue up with in your party / raid atm = 5 (though there are certain addons that let you queue up with more at the same time, which increases your chances of being in the same AV with multiple parties)Quote:

the good thing about boxing that many in BGs, is that half the players in the BG usually wear the exact same gear. Fast loads FTW ! :-)
but serioursly, props to you if you manage to get your own AV raid (be it 40 or 25) but i would suggest you rethink it all because there are very limited uses for that many toons.
well it was just a test to do it and thanks for the info about the bgs but now is the 25 man av (such bullshit) going to have the bosses easyer now that there isnt 40 ppl

I'm curious about your goals.. I mean 10 is certainly enough to roll anything in world PvP.. and since no BGs or dungeons will be taking 40 people.. im not sure what you intend to do with 40 toons lol
40 starfalls sounds good, but.. you will never find more than 10 people who it will hit at once, even in Wintergrasp (which will be empty in a couple months)
I have 10 druids, and with all starfalls up, everyone dies in a GCD, so 30+ more is a bit of a waste IMO lol
at least if you control all 40 toons in av, you can be assured that they will all do the blitz together.
(if they don't you have some serious schizophrenic issues to deal with :) )

Ya really but you cant hold a tower .... but if you can kill the boss with his two tower guards up then ... ya no afkers and everyone folloing the same plan but lack of tower control and gy control well ...
I think the 40 man raids are for vanilla content + world pvp raids. Maybe i've missed something but the only new pve raids will be 10 and 25 man sharing the same lockout, and AV/Isle of Conquest will be scaled down to 25 man battlegrounds (up from 40).
You need to do 25 horde and 25 alliance toons, then just level in AV, playing vs. yourself.
ya after much thiinking im only doing 25 boxing due to av :( but ill be starting next month in the lvling
ISBoxer will have no problem controlling that many toons, although you will probably not really use FTL. You should still be able to use all of the features, but if you're thinking about controlling 20 on the same PC you're definitely going to have performance issues. To run 20 on the same PC you'd probably want them all low resolution (turn instant swap off) and it might help to have a dual i7 or dual opteron (8-12 cores each!). I haven't tried launching that many in a while so I'm not really sure how well it would perform.
Whoever asked if the bosses are going to be easier in AV if it's 25-man, they don't really need to be easier... 1 healer 1 tank and 3 dps can easily take down the boss at 80 with 2 towers still up, I know this because I did it with my paladins a while back: (screenshot) http://isboxer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=292
You can drop the boss with 16 people and all the towers up, I know because we were blizting av and doing just this =).
You have to have a well geared tank and good healer as well as DPS that knows to move from the tower guards when they come in and AE. MOST AVs can not do this due to not being able to accomplish the above.Quote:

A week or 2 ago i was queuing (solo) for some randoms with 4 guildies, 3 of them have healing spec. Since there was a 'bane of the fallen king' protection warrior, we figured to spec pve and go for a blitz. The warrior had 63k hp and i was sitting at 57k hp, healers full T10. Eh -- my tank isn't that geared, in fact, she's only like 5.4k gearscore. We did this with a group of druids, my shamans, and another set of 4 shamans. The boss isn't that damn hard, I don't know what you had for dedicated heals though, or what trinkets you run for mitigation.

Also the blue quote says "40 man raids and areans", from the other thread. Does anyone have a link to hard evidence that there will be no 40 man pvp content in Cata? Where is the blue quote that AV is going to be 25? My cursory google didnt really turn up much one way or the other.
im just going by what they say lol but 25 or 40 im going to lvl 25 first my goal once i start is 10 days ill have 50 60s and 2 av weekends and ill be 80 on all 50 woot
