i'd like to see your grids, enemy unit frames and threat meters thingies :-)
That is really clean. I hate all the clutter UI's tend to have. Seems like I always start off with a clean slate, and end up junking it up shortly after. I guess it just takes discipline.
Well made!
Personally a UI should do the following for me:
a) don't give me a headache
b) display the information i want / need, including
- my and my opponent (npc or player) his/her castbar & health / mana frame
- my slaves their cast bar (party cast bars)
- my slaves their follow status visually + their health / mana (jamba)
- procs, incoming damage, heals, outgoing damage
- the raids status (grid + clique), and in such a way that i can read the names, not just 3-4 letters
- buffs / debuffs, both on me and the slaves
- cooldowns on important abilities (rebirth, bloodlust, forbearance triggers, ...)
- dps & threat (omen / recount)
- nameplates with health + castbars
- opponent abilities (dbm . bigwigs)
- a useful chat window, including raid/party wide announces (by dmb for example)
- cleanse abilities -> decursive
- obviously my own action bars
- buffs i can give = pallypower
- gladius if i join the arena
Well i consider those essential for me. Having them available on the screen tends to lean towards clutter. You can give it a clearer look to avoid getting a headache, but that's just a matter of preferring green over pink.
My point being: having a clean UI just for the sake of having a clean UI when you need to do concessions what info is displayed, ... that doesn't look like an advantage to me.
I'm with zenga on this one in considering all of those essential.
Though some of them I would be fine with only showing up in combat (or when I need them, like profession stuff), which is what I intend to do the next time I redo my UI.
10/10
Looks very nice! If i had the patience to set it up I would!
One question, when patch day comes around and new versions come out. Do you have to reposition everything after updating or is it pretty much setup 1 time and then just enjoy?
I mean i use addons but mostly stuff like, clique, grid, healbot etc no frame add ons
Most addons stay in the same place when updated, and many addons let you save profiles that you can load on your alts so you only need to set it up once. To share profiles across accounts, you just set it up on one, then copy that account's saved variables for the desired addons over to the other accounts.
hm, which add on allows you to show party damage on screen ? the chain lightning damage from other shamans showed on the right.
and even with name attached (maybe not party, even more flexible to have pre-defined name configured).
That is MikScrollingBattleText
And here is a guide how to show part dmg:

MSBT is a REQUIRED addon for Arena or PvP -- especially with custom alerts for shit like bubble, iceblook, shieldwall, innervate ect.
Like when someone starts casting a resurection in Arena my shit goes crazy and plays a custom sound file saying "STOP THE RESURRECTION"
When I kill someone -- the "Fatality!" Sound goes off.
And also when someone is <20% health -- the sound "FINISH HIM!" goes off.
I have the deadly boss mod plugin, called DBM SpellTimers that tracks cooldowns from other players, general cooldowns, etc. Mostly useful for raids, BG's, etc ... It comes with a decent amount of trackers, which you can dis/en-able & add your own.
For my own cooldowns (trinkets, tank cooldowns, etc ... ) I use ChronoBars. It's brilliant in it's simplicity. You can basically make it track anything you want and create a bar for that.
On top of that I have OmniCC installed. This will replace the default cooldown visual on your actionbar with a digital number.
When I played my shaman solo I tried ForteExorcist for a while, but I could not get used to it and removed it. Though many players seems to like it.
My castbar is replaced with Quartz, which has also a couple of trackers. Though I use it pretty standard.
I use DoTimer for durations of stuff on individual characters, have not set it up to track group cooldowns, but it can do that too I think.
I also use Miks Scrolling Battle Text to announce when cooldowns are ready.
In addition I use OmniCC, and my cast bars are Gnosis.
Thanks for the quick feedback, looks like I have a few new add-ons to play around with now.
Hey how did you center the titanbar to only be in the middle and not across the whole screen
How do you make a standardized background and border combo for each addon? That unified grey transition looks very nice. Every one of my mods ends up having its own damned visual theme.
Have I missed something in the thread, but I can't find where you say what interface it is. I would like to use it if you can link to it?
I'm going to copy it :)
