Another hit to DK-Ret teams

Chains of Ice now reduces movement speed by 60% for 8 sec. (Down from 95% + 10% movement each sec over 10 seconds)

I was going to post them all, but there are just too many changes so check out MMO.

• Cloth Specialization - Increases your Intellect by 5% while wearing only Cloth armor.
• Leather Specialization - Increases your Agility by 5% while wearing only Leather armor.
• Wild Leather Specialization - Increases your Stamina in Bear Form by 5% while wearing only Leather armor.
• Wild Leather Specialization - Increases your Agility in Cat Form by 5% while wearing only Leather armor.
• Mail Specialization - Increases your Agility by 5% while wearing only Mail armor.
• Tribal Mail Specialization - Increases your Intellect by 5% while wearing only Mail armor.
• Plate Specialization - Increases your Strength by 5% while wearing only Plate armor.
• Defender's Plate Specialization - Increases your Stamina by 5% while wearing only Plate armor.
• Blessed Plate Specialization - Increases your Intellect by 5% while wearing only Plate armor.
• Astral Leather Specialization - Increases your Intellect by 5% while wearing only Leather armor.
• Elemental Mail Specialization - Increases your Intellect by 5% while wearing only Mail armor.
• Furious Plate Specialization - Increases your Strength by 5% while wearing only Plate armor.

It's really not that big of a deal. We'll be going frost and they will be slowed by chibil anyway.

Without the isnta heals from AoW I don't see this team going any farther than any other team that can't heal effectively in combat/can't heal at all. You may as well be using 4x Warriors or 4x Rogues or 4x Feral Druids.

Correct me if I am wrong here, but ret will still have word of glory as an instant heal, It will just require holy power and...

Selfless Healer (Tier 5) - Increases the healing of your Word of Glory by 30/60% when used to heal others.

Still that may not be enough- I dont play a ret team so I dont really have a clue.

I play my pal team for PvE more than anything. Also, DS still heals, seems to heal nice as well ( just not as on demand ) And i think even non healing type classes will have a better chance to do well in rated BGs.

The problem with Word of Glory is that you're making a choice between DPS and healing using your Holy Power. If you're using Word of Glory you're not using it for a huge Divine Storm or +30% damage.

Shrug. I guess we'll see.

Lemme put it this way, you don't want AOW procing heals with the mana it costs. Especially if it is FoL. Healing light would be doable but still not spamable like it is now.

You also have to keep in mind... They need to do just as much damage to you when damage is not the highest at the moment and heals are needed sparingly due to the mana cost (depending on how much you want to heal for) With the DK's 80% of AP as -heal... we are looking at about 15k @ 85 and geared.

In BGS it will be much easier to kill a bunch of people and then heal up if you use your shit for damage. And every 2 mins you get 15 seconds of as many off gcd heals as you want.

You will be healing for upwards to 100k for that person when you heal them at 85... so i think it is important to understand that although we might not get it every 3 seconds, we get it every 6 and can heal someone to FULL for NO COST and OFF GCD.

Combine that with inquisition and healing hands... you are looking at a trainwreck for the other team. We also have kick now that iirc isn't on DR. Two CC per toon. And a DK who can still heal himself if necessary but does damage like a truck.

Chain heal got nerfed to all hell, so it's not like shaman are in a different position, they still need to stop DPSing to heal as well.

Doing heroics was going to be hard for us... we need to wait to overgear it like in BC.

DK's will hit like a truck in Cata? Their dps is terrible now, do you know someone in beta or I guess i'm asking now you know this? Currently, dk's do about half the damage as rets in most arena matches.

150% weapon damage + 854.94
frost strike now does 100% weapon damage + 97 as frost
Obliterate talented hits for 209% weapon damage
The MS does 75% weapon damage + 80% of your AP as -healing on opponent
Icy touch got buffed so you get more ranged damage as well.

If you are unholy, scourge strike is now 1 rune and does 150% weapon damage.

wow, that is quite a buff, it sure would be different to have a DK that actually did some solid damage. I feel like I arena with 4.3 dps and .5 of a healer lol. Bringing 5 solid dps would be pretty sweet.

Im on beta, and while dmg is still a bit off yet due to talents and stuff NOT working right, i can say that dks will be doing MUCH more dmg. Pallys will as well. Dk dps in pvp IS terrible now, which is why i dont pvp with my 3 dks anymore, however they're excellent at control(snares, semi roots, interrupts, deathgrip, aoe cc) Nothing changed for them as far as all that is concerned... and they do more dmg and have some new tools now :) i cant wait for cata tbh, theres so much changing and its all fun !

before i get flamed: not all of it is fun... stuff changes, people freak out, but we're going to be fine :) trust me
