I think the overall favorite is Sony Vegas, I don't really hear talk from much else, it's so incredibly easy to use :)
I demo'd Vegas, Premier, Windows Movie Maker, and a half dozen other lesser known titles while searching for a robust yet not overly technical tool to create professional looking movies...
Vegas wins hands down, price per feature it's the best out and so easy to use.
Vegas is definately the best from what I have used.
you guys using the plat ver or the pro ?
I can recomend Sony vegas for simple wow movies, tho for really good effects and well produced ones i can recomend Adobe premiere Pro + After effects, but thats only if u are good at editing otherwise there is no point in using those programs.

What about for audio editing, or does Vegas do that fine as well?
it can do both, but if you want very specialized audio editing i beleive vegas has a product for that too.Quote:

I did not do any Videos (no good material, because I don't have the time to play latley =( ) but in EQ and EQ2 I did some video editing an also in my old job for Game Network (UK Videogame channel that was mostly tapped in Italy) I did some Video editing.
I usally used Premiere, but this is...
a. expensive (if you buy it)
b. not that easy to use
If you want to make small, easy, good quality videos just try Vegas. It's more than enough.
I'm using Sony Vegas for a couple of years now, but anyway I tested out Adobe Premiere the last days... I have to say that I really don't like Premiere, I had a few problems with rendering the videos (horrible quality, although with uncompressed encoding ...). So Sony Vegas just has everything to make a really good and professional video (if you know where to find these things :) ) and it is really easy to use. In Premiere it is much more complicated (had to click more often as in Vegas to get fadings etc... :S
This.I started with Adobe Premiere, read that the trendy program was Sony Vegas for most wow users. Gave it a try, never looked back.Quote:
