Thinking of returning...

Just a couple quick questions.... I quit multiboxing when lich came out, i made 3-4 80's solo then quit wow... im thinking of coming back and boxing to see the dungeon content.. What im curious about is, what is the best team setup for dungeon grinding now? 4xsham 1xpally?

Second, here is my setup.. i have 5 accounts already.. 4x70 sham.. 1xpally/warr/whatever it has most classes.. BUT.. the 4x sham are on the single worst server in WOW.. and i really dont want to play them.. so i am considering going RAF and just making a new team..

Heres the thing.. i would like to use 2 of my existing accounts (they have 80 pallies/dk's/warriors..) and then RAF the other 3... is it possible to have the RAF bonus on all 5? would i just initiate the RAF from the 2 existing accounts i want to use? thanks guys!! sorry for being so newbish.. but a few months outa the game and i forget it all:)

P.S. i used to 5box on a q6600@3.2ghz 4gb of mem, hd4870 with no lag cept in Shatt/dal.. has the engine changed to the point that i need to upgrade my machine at all to 5box again?

You'll lag a good bit in Dalaran, especially on a higher pop server. If you're not tied down you a specific faction / server, and you're rafing, Check out Kil'Jaeden Alliance. it's where a lot of boxers have migrated to.

Naw... kinda up in the air on a server... i just HATE dark iron.. its a horrible place:) BTW... is there a battlechest type of thing with lich king? or?

Nah, no battlechest with LK atm. cheapest route seems to be battlechest + wrath

Yeah, i just checked prices... $80 for battlechest+lich... so fooook that:) I'll just use my existing accounts and play slow

you can box most compositions as long as you have a tank+healer+dps. (unless you go with paladins and go all melee).

If I where to choose another composition than my 5xdruids, it would probably be 1x pally tank, 1 druid healer, 3* shaman. But this is because I haven't tried the shaman class.

You could go with 3* whatever as dps. Mages do well, huntards are also okey, or just go full mix like some other guys are doing it. Theres a heap of different setups you can choose.

On a sidenote. I woulden't go all melee as my primary team, as IMO the passive healing which paladins currently have might get nerfed to the ground thus disabling the team.

But then again, I have choosen all druids, and they might get nerfed to the ground as well. It's the saying: "dont put all your eggs in one basket" :)

To add to what Seldum was saying, I use Pally/3 ele shams/warlock and it's a great team. 3 shaman chain heal the group nicely, and even Ele spec they can put 3 big heals on the tank for 12-20k total in a pinch. Lock gets me the 13% magic dmg bonus as well, boosting all dps.

But... Im hitting a point in HoS/HoL where I am going to try running one sham resto for a while, since my team is only level 78 with a 4600GS tank and I've wiped pretty hard in the last couple days learning these new dungeons from the boxing prespective. I hope these wipes are just due to lack of strategy and knowledge of the fights, not from lack of heals, since I've really enjoyed not having the extra requirement of controling tank and dps and healer.

Thanks for the input... i restarted my main main account today to find it was hacked while i was not using it (3 days ago) 40k in gold gone and all toons stripped.. bah.. but i made 4 trial accounts and was playing around a bit.. things have changed.. jamba is nice im just having a hard time figure out his macro setup.. but reading i will go:)

Ended up getting my toons restored.. and played around with some trial accounts also.... Jamba's addon is amazing...

A good thing about 4 shaman is that you can go 4 ele and burst HARD. With 3,6k SP buffed, 34% crit and 53 haste i can drop some bosses in 10 seconds, most in 20. If you got a wellgeared tank i don't even have to heal anymore.

Yup, when i used to do this i ran 5 shams and would just burn crap down fast... im just playing around with RAF on 4 trial accounts now...

BUT what i am having a issue with is if i hit F9-F12 it swaps windows to one of my other 4 and moves my main to the other monitor... i can not figure how to get the main back on the main monitor?

Also, is there a way usine 1 wow director for 4 logins on the same bnet account to pick the proper game them selves, like i have wow1,wow2,wow3,wow4 on the same bnet, so i type in the pw then goto each window and pick theproper game account...

nope, 4 logins only. The other choice is seperate Bnet accounts
