mousemat?
Don't do it.
Put it all into savings.
You'll thank me later.
Buy all the silver & gold you can afford, there is a financial storm coming and you should put on a financial life jacket. The outcome is uncertain and I recommend staying on the safe side. Bank deposits and paper money are at best insecure investments with negative return due to inflation and I recommend using this for consumption and not for saving.
Ok I'll buy gold with my other money what should I do with this 3k?
Keep in mind, you might want to make sure that you save enough to cover any taxes on those winnings. How much the IRS takes depends on types of winnings. Here is an article on reporting gambling winnings:

Of course this is only if you are in the U.S.
I think you should look into the 6 core intels or the new 8 or 12 core AMDs. Make sure you get at least 6 cores, that gives you at least 1 for each toon.
I bet you could put together a 16 core AMD for $3k. they are $300 for the 8 core, get two of them. $500 for the motherboard (dual processor support), $200 for the case $400 for the video card. Then the rest on HD and memory. 24 gigs ram would be about $700, another $400 or so for some nice HDs.
16 cores would be nuts!!! That's how I'd spend my $3k.

CPU = i7-980X (6 cores, 12 CPU threads)
RAM = 24 GB. use 12 Gb for the WOW data files into a ram drive.
GPU = ASUS ENGTX275 or better.
Sound card = some nice Sound Blaster.
Directly buy this one with the CPU and the RAM: http://www.supermicro.es/?opcion=con...%2FSYS-5046A-X
Then ask them to plug the GPU and the sound card, or buy then apart. It's a low noise workstation, so you will be able to hear people screaming better when you blow them with 5 ICommandYouToCorpseRun spells.
Screen = Eizo screen. http://www.eizo.com/global/products/...33w/index.html or http://www.eizo.com/global/products/...31w/index.html.
The screen itself will cost you between 600 and 2k, but it's well worth the money, specially knowing that you can buy a new screen but you cannot buy new set of eyes.
I have this one http://www.eizo.com/global/products/...02w/index.html . Compared to my ViewSonic, Sony, Samsung and Dell screens, it completely blows them apart. I have choosen that exact model because it has fast response time and lower power consumption.
Put the HDs you want, the data files into RAM will be faster than any SSD HD, so I would go for two SSD, one for the system and one for gaming and the other HDs for storage would be WD green series 1 or 2 TB drives to store all the porn.
With the Supermicro workstation + the Eizo screen you will probably have to put a bit of extra money to get it all set, but it will be a killer rig.
I know we're sort of a niche market, but did you really have to suggest a 16 core system to someone who (apparently, looking at previous threads) has already got an i5-860 (1156 equiv of a 920) system with 12GB of ram and a 5770? REALLY?
I mean, I know money is fun to spend and all, but use the space between your ears.
Why the OP wants a NEW five boxing computer when the one he has is PERFECTLY FINE is beyond me. Maybe instead of wanting/getting a completely new system he should look at improving his own. Looking at his own build it appears he has no solid state hard drives, so if he wanted to boost performance he should look into getting one/some and putting them into RAID 0. Oh, and you could overclock your CPU/GPU if you feel those are holding you back. (Hell, upgrade that GPU if you want)
You should think of other things you can waste your money on.
Or buy cheap pcs and go hardware. Then buy a couple of bottles of krug.
Since when do I get flamed for answering a OP's question? He wasn't asking about what taxes he needs to pay, he wasn't asking about what parts he should upgrade on an existing system, he wasn't asking about what a good investment was for his new money. He was asking about a *NEW* rig for 5 boxing with a $3k budget.
