The IRC is up, but cannot connect to the website.
Well.. servers go down in 1h40m for 6 hours or so.
but my frost badges :P i can't possibly singlebox anymore :P
Not impressed to find an outage to the site preventing Innerspace from loading. There ought to be some mechanism for the client to give you at least SOME grace period.
Have to agree, especially as I renewed my year's subscription yesterday.
Guys calm down, this is the first time this had happened since I've started using ISBoxer/Innerspace in 6 months.
I'm calm, sulking, but calm.
All good here Igg, I don't want to appear completely tied in knots about it, but I do think its a reasonable request to ensure that the client gives us at least some leeway in license checking (for example say checking only periodically).
My biggest concern in trying out Innerspace versus Keyclone (both of which I think are great pieces of software) was the subscription model on Innerspace and the thought of "what if the site isn't available for whatever reason". I didn't actually expect to have that happen on Day 4 of my use of the software to be sure.... lol.
But yes, some remedy I think to this problem would be appreciated.
All paid multiboxing software relies on some call home method, that's just how it is in this very niche application space. This is the longest I've ever seen Lavishsoft.com down in the years I've had an account with them. Keyclone has been down at least 3 separate times for the exact same reason. So if you'd rather trust a developer that has seemingly abandoned the community and hasn't updated his software in 9+ months, I hope you enjoy your keyclone license. But be aware, if solidice.com is down, you won't be able to run keyclone. Personally, I'll stick with the developer that is in near constant communication with his subscribers / community.
Down for me too- software+website.
First time ever I couldn't use Innerspace when I wanted too in 4+months of usage.
I'm sure it'll be back up shortly.
I wasn't aware that Keyclone was as little behind (I've only just recently returned to multiboxing after a six month break).
Yes, I suppose it's a fair point to say that if solidice.com is down we'd have the same problem. I'll concede that one in all fairness.
My solution then is to both Keyclone and Innerspace: allow for some grace period in the license check. I still don't think that's asking too much.
I have also been using IS for like 8-10 month now and have never had any problems.
Problems Schmoblems.....they suck when they come.
Gief innerspace online nau! =)
Ho humm... I forgot it was Tuesday here and WOW servers are down anyways, lol. Couldn't play now even if IS was up!
You guys in Norway/Denmark do you have server maintainences on Tuesday over there too? Always curious if EU hated the same day we WOW players in the US do, lol.
Nah we have the resett on wednesday here in EU. Wich sucks cuz my shift starts tomorrow =/
I feel with you guys here, perhaps if Lax can do some type of temp license if server cannot be reached would be cool.
Lost play time is always frustrated, grab your pitch forks and demand compensation in the form of extending the existing licenses, just kidding.
yes confirm 1st blackout in 4+ months. in past i used keyclone, happened with that too, a couple of time.
in europe maintainance is tue/wed night, generally by 03.00 Tue-night (it s wed at 03.00 am hehe tbh) to 10/11.00 Wed-morning.Quote:

London/portugal is GMT, paris/rome/bern (me) +1(CET), moskow/east europe +2.
all these countries have same downtime.
it starts-ends at game server(s) time:server time is same Central Europe time(CET), GMT +1, mine, coz blizzard is near Paris.
consider here it is about 03.00 pm, if maintenance starts tonight at 03.00 am, it will happen in 12 hours.
Now I'm getting cocerned as it's in the AM and we haven't heard from lax yet, I wonder if he's on the east coast.
As of 10:23 CST (GMT-6) I'm able to launch IS + launch sessions, anyone having issues should please switch to decaff and try again. :D
Thanks for letting us know.
Decaf is like playing wow with chopsticks instead of fingers ;p
Uh yeah, this all went on while I was sleeping. Terrible news, obviously. Generally the backup license server prevents outages like this.
This was the first outage since I've used IS Boxer.
Roughly three-quarters of a year.
Keyclone has been down a few times in that time.
And the authentication servers for PB - 'That Which Cannot be Named' has been down half a dozen times since I've frequented their boards.
Not much we can do about it.
But from Zanthors original post, Zero to Hero, it had not been down once from the time he started until he made his post.
IS Boxer is has been the most reliable pay option to date.
So, um, it's down again? or is it just me?
Or I think a grace period before enforcing the server check (like 24 to 48 hours) would work to.
In case I'm accused otherwise, I'm perfectly calm, will use KeyClone for gaming tonight, but with 2 outages in the 6 days since I bought my Innerspace subscription, I think it is worth at least considering some of the simple workarounds suggested in the thread.
yes down again ;-<
not wanting to bitch too much, as this has never been an issue in the last 6 months i have used the product. But obviously something is wrong!
Gah, Still down. :(
Down for me too.
Was really tired, so went to bed early.
But then woke up a few hours later.
It will be up fairly soon, at least I hope.
well id like a little more information then from lax's previous post. like is it worth sticking with innerspace/isboxer if when it goes down (australian prime time), the only support provided is by 1 Guy in a different time zone and to be honest i don't think its unreasonable if your paying for a service, that there be some sort of support outside the normal hours, especially if you are selling to an international base. perhaps a contact lax button because your servers are down agian? or backup servers that worked?
Yup hoping for a fast fix for this
i'm sure this is only temporary; if you're itching on playing why not use one of the free softwares (i.e HKN) as a backup?
This is highly irregular for IS Boxer.
Aside from these two occurrences, the servers have basically never been down.
Whatever the issues are, I hope they are resolved soon.
"Inner Space was unable to initialize at this time (-22). Please try again later."
Really annoying, hope this gets sorted soon - right in the middle of prime time and no boxing :(
