I wouldnt run it its an exe who knows what it actually does. Plus it looks like a subscription thing aint worth it.

It appears they're proxying your wow data stream to get around bad/long routing issues, from what I can tell by a quick search and read of their FAQ. If the TCPAckFrequency fix doesn't work for you, I'd be very wary of any service that claims to make the interwebs faster by monkeying with your routes or anything else without telling you exactly what they're doing.
Maybe I'm being paranoid but it IS the internet, after all...
Might be similar to lowerping.com and smoothping.com (which are godsend) but the sites to confusing to be there for long enough to check it out.
http://wtfast.com/ is an awesome service - it is always fast/stable for me. Using WTFast I can consistently lower my ping down to about 25ms to 50ms whenever I play. (normally around 150ms to 300ms) It makes a huge difference to help me get interrupts off, stop guys from LOSing, etc. I notice it also really helps to boost my DPS in raids since rotations are alot cleaner.
You give a great testimonial, how much did they pay you to come here? Sorry I will live with my crappy DSL for now

WTFast does actually work, and it does work great. They haven't paid me anything, but I asked WTFast to sponsor me because I use it religiously and tell my friends about it (basically I get a free subscription).
I would suggest the TCPAck changes and/or moving to a server in a closer location long before I suggest a "service". Especially when it's marketed so aggressively.

2 bad wtfast isn't a system wide proxy so that u can use it with say inner space... ZZZ i miss single-boxing with smoothping @ 180ms... instead i die to fires with 450ms :(

You may be able to reduce your ping by changing the TCPACK frequency, but it will bork your maximum download speed having to send the extra ACK packets.
There isn't a huge amount you can do about ping times with WoW anyway. Most of it is down to Blizzard's crappy server coding. I get better ping times to FPS game servers in the US, on the other side of the Atlantic, than I do to the WoW servers the other side of the English Channel.
This section of the TOS is to deal with privately run servers. You are not allowed to run your own WoW game server. Blizzard has made blue posts specifically saying that there is nothing wrong with using a proxy to connect to WOW - there are hundreds of thousands of people who do it while playing from home, work and even military overseas.Quote:

Looking into this further it really falls in the same line as using any of the boxing software: Its not directly supported or officially condoned by Blizzard and we use it at our own risk.

I can't give you permission to use it as I don't really know how it works. If it just makes registry changes, it's probably fine. If it's an actual program running alongside the game, it may not be such a good thing to use. As it's not made by us, I can't really condone it's use, but from what I was able to see by Googling it, it looks ok, but that's my personal opinion, not a blanket endorsement. I didn't see anything indicating it was dangerous though.

Reading through the wtfast site its basically an optimized proxy service. I don't see how that's against TOS..
These things are In Pretty common use. Blizzard does not control the routes you use to get to their server so what goes in in between you and them in terms of traffic routing is of little point. Your basically paying to use a better lane on the I formation highway. Could think ofit as a fast pass at six flags, you can get there faster but if you dontha e the right credentials it doesn't matter.
The proxys work. They are very common in the IT field. Especially In the business world. Done on my iPhone so forgive spelling
Great to see you ppl debating the pros/cons of this service. However, my question is technical in nature. I use keycolne on a single PC to run 3 WoW accounts. Keyclone launches the WoW clients and positions then on screen. WTFast also launches clients. Has anyone gotten them to work together and if so, how?
I haven't subscribed to the service yet and I saw roughly a 100ms decrease in lag during the test period with the trial (unlocked) version.
You should be able to just load WTFast, and keep it running in the background, close any open instances of WOW.exe if you like. Then just run WoW.exe like you would normally for your setup; run it once or more than once on your machine, and WTFast should capture your WoW.exe traffic still (provided the WTFast traffic monitor window is left open).
