Yes, 5 times in a row. First time I killed the first boss, then wiped before I could res two guys and get mana back. I decided to quit. Since then everytime I hit the LFD tool it gives me HOR. Every god damn time. Fuck you blizzard.

I kind of thought they had fixed this, I used to complain about it not being random. I know if you don't leave the instance it puts you at the start of the same instance ( wtf they do that I don't know ). I'm starting to see a lot of ToC showing up.. it's my new Ocu-bail. pointless to do it.
I thought I read somewhere it tends to give you instances you don't finish most of the time.
Hence why I get oculus, halls of whatever, and toc over and over.
Disband your team and reinvite with someone else as leader if you get saved to an instance. Have them requeue your team. Since you killed a boss its gonna attempt to let you finish if you requeue with the same leader and group. I believe it was a blue that said you have to drop team and reinvite.

Heh retsx4 is kinda hard if you havent set up the macros to repentance everything. Honestly the most crushing part of this instance? That damn frost trap that hunters lay, for some reason it crushes my computer and slows frame rate to 20fps or lower. Makes it real hard to react quickly. I didnt know about the disband and reinvite thingie. I'll try that!
edit: not to mention it has no upgrades for me, so it's only a hinderance to do it when I can mass pull any other instance.

Idea:
Every mob type has a different name, and one only get one of each type per "wave"
Ret1 - /repentance mage
Ret2 - /repentance priest
Ret3 - /repentance hunter
REt4 - /repentance rogue
(one macro per pally, all on the same button. one button - everything stunned)
Max pull is 5 mobs - so you can take out 4 right off the bat! Then you've got 4x holy wrath to keep them locked down as well.
Yes yes I know I know, but at this point they all have their T9 and all they need anymore is frost badges. The only reason to do this dungeon is for the achieve, which Im not an achieve whore so... =X
I don't understand man - setup the macros and just roflstomp that place. You honestly have the BEST group makeup for that instance.
Because its one more key or map that I have to remember to use. At this point I'm tired of "oh crap what button was that?" or "what key enables that map again?" When nearly every key on the keyboard is a certain ability or situational key it starts to get stupid. I refuse to make anymore maps for this current expansion. It's all about laziness now.

Both on the mapped keys, and on the instance.
If you can do just about any other heroic, quicker and with less effort on your part...
It would be a lot better to get an easier heroic, for the same two badges each day.
And the keymaps can get to be a bit much.
I'm trying to have similar functions for each team on each keybind.
But that only works to an extent.
And I'm playing four distinct sets of toons...

Yeah, I got an XKeys and printed out pretty little pictures for the keys so I could remember what was what.
At the start I went crazy and created mappings for everything ... now I'm just trying to consolidate down to as little as possible.
I know you're feeling though. Same thing happened once I opened PoS. I really don't want to deal with it. I just want my badges and to go back to my other team that I'm grinding to 80.

Also for thoes who do not queue up as an entire group, random is not very random. I queue up on my paladin to hit the 3 heroic frozen hall dungeons and get random players every time. For them, they queued as random, its not random when I specify the dungeon on my end.
Powerwar and I had the Oculus 4 times in a row the other day...
first time, he was running his shammys with my tank and so we bailed it... second time was with his paladin tank and my tank and 3 pugs and they didnt know shit about it... got to the last boss and couldnt kill him.3rd time, new group and we bailed again... 4th time, we got convinced to run it and finished it :D
I hate that instance with a passion!
I personally hate the ICC & ToC 5x mans. Other than getting a weapon upgrade they are more than 5x the work of any other heroic and usually take much longer to do. The gear they drop is almost always replaced with badge gear and the battered hilt is a better weapon that anything that drops there.
With the ICC runs, I only do FoS, I skip the first boss and just do the end boss for badges, he is pretty much a sure one shot whereas first boss has wiped me a few times due to the fear he does and not having any shammies means if my healer gets feared and then a low health clothie is next to get feared I am pretty much guaranteed a wipe.
I have only done the first boss on HoR normal and so it is pretty much one I have to skip :(
To the OP
Have you tried re queuing while still in the instance that you were "randomed"? The times I have done that I have not gotten the same one, even after killing a boss and locking the instance.
I wish I could get FoS five times in a row - 35 Devourer kills on my mage and no necklace...
