Adding more to my 5-man team

I currently have 5 accounts......80 shaman on each account and a Prot Pally also on my 5th. Im getting a new computer that will handle these 5 accounts easily and will probably allow me to add more accounts if need be. I mainly pvp with my 5 shaman group and was wondering what class would benefit my team the most if I add in a 6th and 7th toon?
Running 5+, I am mainly concerned about WG, AV and IoC. My 5 currently are elemental.....so adding in a healer or two would probably do wonders for my survivability. But then there is also raid buffs that would come in handy also.

If you had 5 Elemental Shaman, what additional class/spec would bring the greatest results?

A healer of some sort I would guess....

I would add in 2 resto druids. They can wild growth all day long to heal you and you wont even have to worry about targeting with it or being in the same group. Plus you can thorns your whole group to give some nice damage to that melee guy that runs in and aoes you.

A boomkin or a warlock will up your damage some.
A priest or druid are both highly mobile healers, more so then the shammies even.
You could easily go with two more shammies, which would be very easy to macro into an existing team.

Just read up on wild growth......It would be pretty interesting casting double WGs with the glyph to heal an additional target.
How would that compare with 2 resto shaman spamming chain heal? I do have a 73 priest and a 72 druid that I could transfer to new accounts.

Its crazy how much I am thinking about this durring the day....

With two of the same class, they can double stack HoTs or double cast Holy Nova etc.
If you could effectively macro a priest and druid together, both is an option too.
The only real drawback is each bring some unique spells to the table, which is additional keybinds.
Just need to match things up as much as possible.

My Disc priest casts something like:
/castsequence reset=7 Penance, Flash Heal, Flash Heal, Flash Heal

Power Infusion can be automatically placed within their spells, or perhaps on the Heroism/Bloodlust keybind for the hot/active toon.
But you'll want access to Mass Dispel, Psychic Scream and Pain Suppression; I cannot think of druid equivalents really.

The druid will get you Cyclone, multiple HoT's, Wildgrowth, Swiftmend, Battle Rez etc. You could pair Wild Growth with Prayer of Healing.

That also gets you Fortitude, Prayer of Spirit and Mark of the Wild.

I'd like to say, one of each can work - and it will to a degree.
But two of the same will likely be easier to control and closer to optimal power.

Druids keep you mobile with cheetah form and ghost wolf, and let you pre cast hots before coing into battle which can help a lot. Plus Druid can battlerez your main, and add some additional cc to prevent them from losing Los or range. Do it and let us know.... I might try it as well....

Two druids would make your team a menace!

Account 1... 80 ele
Account 2... 80 ele
Account 3... 80 ele
Account 4... 80 ele... 60 druid... 60 shaman
Account 5... 80 ele... 60 druid... 60 shaman
Account 6... 60 druid(resto)
Account 7... 60 druid(resto)


OK, I bought two more accounts and raf'ed them up with two of my current accounts......well I was able to get 6 toons over 4 accounts to 60. I am going to at least be adding 2 resto druids to my team......and while im lvling them up to 80....might as well have 2 more tag along for the ride to 80.

So out of those two vacant slots, I have the option of 2 more druids or 2 resto/ele shaman. At this point in time...i have no plans on adding more accounts....but if I do, It would be nice to just transfer one of these toons over instead of lvling up from scratch. With the 2 resto druids.....would you lvl up more druids or the 2 shaman?

There is the option to add a boomkin to the mix which brings that aura and the 13% spell debuff. Or two more shaman...maybe 1 ele and 1 resto for improved totems......and massive chain lightning. :P

Any ideas?


Also, how squishy are resto druids for pvp? That is one thing that is worrying me compared to resto shaman

I would do the druids. you might want to run 3 ele shaman, 2 boomkins and 2 resto druids. Be nice to have 6 trees, starfall, and more AoE.

But id keep it simple, and run 5 ele and 2 resto druids. Make some macros to have both druids start stacking hots on your main, another to heal whoever is getting focused, and fill the rest with AoEs. You'd be unstoppable.

You might consider having your resto druids NOT be in tree form when they follow you around. Trees are easy as hell to spot and get focus fired by experienced PvPers quickly. If your shamans are just mixed in with your druids, all in normal form, it's a lot harder to tell which one is spamming attacks and which is spamming heals.

You know, I was thinking about that. Wild Growth will be interesting to play with, but keeping the healers alive is somthing new ill have to deal with......never played a healer at max lvl. Plus, moving from a party to raid......some will loose the benefit of of 4-5 grounding totems.

But.....it should be fun. Only problem is not being able to buy the cold weather tome on my new accounts. when I hit 70. ANy way around this besides transfering characters?

i must have missed someting, what is the cold weather flying tome?

edit: googled it, i didn't even know they put that in the game.

cold weather flying tome is a BoA item that a lvl 80 can purchase for 1000 gold, and can be sent to any character on the acct, and upon consuming the scroll can fly in northrend early.

If you really need cold weather flying early on new accts, your only option is to pay to transfer a toon with a scroll from acct A to acct B. Not sure if theres any lvl restrictions, but you could probably make any lvl 10 (10 min lvl to xfer) buy tome on 80, send to new lvl 10, xfer accts, and trade again. Could get BoA shoulders and chest that way too i guess.

This idea of two healers in the group interests me. I only have five accounts however I have a group of ele shaman with four boomkins @ 71. I also have more recently been taking my dk's up in lvl as well, they are at lvl 73. I wonder how well they would fair with the three dk's and two resto druids. I took four of them through UK with my lvl eighty healer buddy. All blood spec. Did pretty good, only lost one at the very end at lvl 72.
