Wow to get a whole server mad at you, thats pretty impressive!
lol
sounds like fun.
The forum troll on that thread thinks we all BOT...lol
Heh, that's pretty good. "Hey Blizzard, not that I'm whining or anything, I understand that there is no TOS violation going on, but... but... WAAAAAHHHH CAN'T WE BAN THIS GUY WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
I don't think that guy bothered to read his post before pressing "submit." If he had, he'd have realized how silly it was and closed his browser.
How about this comment.

Q u o t e:
multiboxing=$$$, therefore it is allowed.
No, actually, that's not the reason why it's allowed.
It's allowed because it harms no one and in battlegrounds (PvP) A multiboxer is so easy to beat it's not funny.
Maybe he hasnt seen a really good one or ran into someone just starting. Cause i know from exp we aint easy to kill most time we can one if not two shot you lol.
MB QQ tears for lunch... nom nom nom nom nom nom nom....
I wish i could do that
Must be that time of the year, there's another thread in the CSF about multiboxing... http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...sid=1&pageNo=1
The usual "it's cheating and only allowed because you degenerates send money to Blizzard" troll is there, too.
I know, I'll take a couple toons in and MB a BG. One of you guys bring five rogues and when they try to kill me.....
Seriously, I'm surprised no one mentioned the ignore feature of the game. Camping the other faction AH is a bit rough, but that's what teamwork is for. You five camp his corpse from 8:00-8:15, you five get the next shift. :)
The comment about 40 mages AOEing the bottleneck. Wow, that would be something to see. Bet the lag would be intense.
The other comment about him arguing with himself was good for a chuckle.
why not just run in, die, rez close to the entrance, die, rez closer to the entrance, die, rez and then in? When I was on pvp servers that was pretty much the standard op outside BRS.
Of course now I'm on a pve server, life is sweet and I don't have to deal with asshats :P
I can see this guy is a pita but there's ways around it, so much QQ for bugger all.
My mind boggles - the time spent getting all those characters to 80, and in the end about the only options you have open to you (that aren't available as a 5 boxer) is to camp an auction house or screw with people trying to get in to VOA.
As for this multiboxer locking them out of VOA - get two stealthers in to VOA then have a warlock corpse run naked as many times as it takes to get in there. Summon raid. (*gets ready to look stupid when folks point out that can't be done in VOA*)
We're almost turning out to be Multiboxing haters just because someone multiboxes hmm... differently?
IMO he's entitled to camp whatever he wants to. I remember some years ago, since Alliance outnumbered Horde for like 5-1 in my server, sometimes it took like 2h of ress, run, ress, run just to enter BWL. We hated oc lol but don't remember a single person filing a complaint.
My reasoning is always:
Its a game-People pay for it-they do whatever they want with it, whether it suits me or I like it or not
IMO, people being prickly reflects on them, not me.
Another excellent point. I'd also point out the asshattery perpetrated by so many alliance guilds in Ganklethorn Vale (aka Stranglegank, aka Yeah, We Get It, You're Overpopulated And Bored Because Your Raid Is On Lockout So You'll Come Camp Grom'Gol This Evening) on PVP servers. Ditto the scrubs that camp Crossroads and kill all the NPCs for hours during prime time, even on PVE servers.
/shrug
Asshattery is playstyle-agnostic.
This would be Prepared wouldnt it?
No think they are talking about the other 40 boxer.. N'adequate.. lol j/k yeah prepared.
i play on his server also, and i've never seen him do anything like this, only thing i know of him camping are the Alliance leaders in the faction capitals, that's just when he's taking them down with people.
He chats in trade alot but it's not "Im awesome look at me" or anything.
Not to kiss his ass or anything, but that's all ive ever seen of him, he's usually in AV 90% of the time anyways.
I don't get it.. why is this a problem?? I would think this would offer some renewed fun in the game to try to take out the boxer.. he can be the biggest douche in the world ..so what.. either do a coordinated attack against him or just go somewhere else to use the AH.. no idea why this is getting the hate from other boxers.. I mean at the end of the day wtf you gonna do with 40 toons but grief someone.. either in bg or in the world. The fact is that he can easily be avoided if you're not into fighting him.
The game is called World of Warcraft.
The basic premise is two factions at war with each other.
If you don't want any form of pvp, this is the wrong game.
If you do like pvp, there are battlegrounds, pvp zones and pvp servers.
Camping something indefinitely, kind of sucks for others.
But the game expressly allows this, if one person or a team wishes to do this.
I don't really see what the big deal is.
I disagree, just because you multibox doesn't mean the entire boxing community has to back you up. Just because other boxers diasagree with his playstyle doesn't mean we are almost turning into multboxing haters.
I think I know who they are talking about as well, Prepared. What is the point of camping someones AH and killing the npcs? The only reasoning I see for it is to be a prick. There is no PvP challenge to killing those lower level npc's, none at all. On top of the that he spams trade expressing how good he is. Everything he does seems to be for the sole purpose of causing drama, and that does in turn cause bad drama for us. We are the minority here and we don't need that kind of drama.
Drinksbeer... what I find amusing is that a guy who's name is in violation of the Blizz Name pOlicy... wants to get a guy banned.

I think that it's pretty interesting that people take the word of just one poster on (of all things) the WoW forums.
Then when it's regurgitated enough here then all of a sudden it must be fact! Unless you've (not you Babysir specifically, i mean in general) seen for yourself the things that have transpired then you should avoid passing judgment on someone.
Already another boxer on Prepared's realm has voiced that what he sees Prepared doing isn't consistent with the complaint on the official forums.
I thought we all knew better then to take anything on the WoW forums at face value.
I don't think people are taking the word of one poster, I would hope not. Personally I have not seen him do anything, and you have a point, it could all be a lie. However, this isn't the first post about him, I have seen close to a dozen if not more. In all those posts, it's always different people saying the same thing. If it had been one individual saying it then obviously you would have to take it with a grain of salt, but when you have several people from the same server saying the same thing you have to consider the possibility that it may just be true. At one point I even saw a video of him doing that same thing, just walking in an killing the alliance npc's inside buildings that may be AH, vendors, or quest givers. This is the video I saw, which lends some credibility to those that are claiming he does these things http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyTC0...eature=channel
I thought the discussion had morphed into a general discussion of asshattery, not any specific person. Was I wrong?
I think peoples definition of being an asshat is different causing most of this conversation to be hard. You got some people who believe pvping in any way (the act of pvp itself) to be asshats. You got some people who believe multiboxing ANYTHING is being an asshat, and you got some people who don't think any of that is wrong.
I could basically sit here and say that all of you are hurting the multiboxing community by being asshats because you multibox during the hours of 7-10pm servertime during the busy parts of the day so people see you and bring attention to multiboxing which I only do 2-3am in the morning.
Also, I got a dozen people on my server who would gladly call any one of you an exploiting asshat that's ruining the wow community having never met you. Doesn't make any of it true to anyone but the person saying it
Since the nature of the conversation is one based heavily on a definition of asshat, i would imagine half the people are are talking about one or two people they don't like under the guise of "asshat", which confuses the rest of us.
I think the point of this thread shouldn't be to talk about what we believe is asshat behavior or not, but rather what blizzard determines is detrimental gameplay. In this case from the original thread on the forums, I have to walk away with blizzard will continue to allow it - if not encourage it to a certain extent.
I can see why he is in AV 90 percent of the time cause once I get my new Pal to 40 Ill be in AV 99.9 percent of the time .....
(I just hate playing one toon at a time (but I also hate being in AV without a tank and my main is to high for most of my others .... )) and I hate Horde noobs that dont understand you take LM, BS and Farm to win in AB (and stay away from stables and mine).
I can't even touch an enemy AH at this time ....
Also if these QQers were on Sullon Zek instead of their care bear bluebie wow server they would have quit in 2 days. One guy Speedd trained the whole neut team that they couldnt raid for weeks lol, the whole TEAM couldn't raid, 1/3 of the server got shut down by one guy basically.
If you sign up for a PvP server expect some PvP lol ....
I am sure that camping the AH wouldn't be a regular occurrence. How fun would it be the 10th time?? I'd probably get pretty bored of that myself. Once in a while to stir up some shiat, but other than that...meh.
Of course, I wouldn't have the patience to run 40 toons anyway.
Personally if I had 40 toons I'd make a 'once-a-week city siege' server event with me trying to storm a city of my choosing. I think it could be fun with people trying to stop me and all.. almost like those rare Bliz spawns in the city.
I remember when Sam and Prepared (the only two "Massively Multiboxers" I know of) arrived on this forum. When asked why he would want to play 40 characters now that there is no such thing as 40-people raids anymore, Prepared replied that his goal was to raid capitals just by himself.
Well, he levelled his army to 80, and he is raiding capitals by himslelf, and I'm sure he's having fun doing it, which is why we all play games. Congratulations, period.
