Went and bought an AMD Phenom II 955 today and a Gigabyte GA-MA790X-UDP4 on the way to work. So now I'm stuck here at work for another 6 hours. Aaaarrrrgggghhhhhh!!!!

Replacing an AMD 4200+ and a Gigabyte board that I'm not sure what the model is. I'll be using my existing 8600GT for now and my 6GB of ram. I'll probably upgrade both of those in a couple weeks.
One of my teams is at 65 and I wanted to upgrade before Northrend.
Got home put it all together and installed Win 7.
Decided to try 5 boxing out on it. Was flying around outland and my cpu load was at 50%. Thought that was a bit high then I realized all 5 WoW clients were running at 60fps. Granted the graphics were cranked down all the way but I though 60fps x 5 flying in outland was doing pretty good.
Was going to upgrade the video card and RAM but now my heater core is going out so I've got a $700 shop bill to look forward too.
Almost tempted to replace one of my old AMD boards with this setup. Let me know how it all pans out.

I gotta tell you some cars these days you might as well be taking the whole engine apart. I just replaced the Air condition Condenser fan motor. I had to remove the whole friggin housing which was wrapped around the condenser itself luckily I did not have to disconnect any lines.Quote:
