Shaman buffs Coming!!!!

Shaman
Elemental

* Flame Shock now deals 834 Fire damage over 18 sec at max rank. (Up from 556 fire damage over 12 sec) Lower ranks increased accordingly.
* Lava Burst no longer consumes Flame Shock.


Enhancement

* Earthen Power changed to : Your Earthbind Totem's pulses have a 50/100% chance to also remove all snare effects from you and nearby friendly targets, and your Earth Shock reduces enemy attack speed by additional 5/10%.


Glyphs

* Glyph of Flame Shock - The periodic damage dealt by your Flame Shock can now be critical strikes. (Old - Increases the duration of your Flame Shock ability by 6 sec and it is not consumed by casting Lava Burst.)

They gave enhancement a nerf, which is good the earthbind totem was a little too powerful.

This buff isn't huge but a buff is a buff, so I'll take it :)

some are saying its a 10% increase dps wise. With increase flame shock dots and with the chance to crit and FS being up for the full duration. I am not a number runner so I cant prove either way.

It's good, but it is also just playing around with the spec to cover for the tier set bonuses. The total dmg upgrade of flameshock I'm impressed with, but you pretty much need t9 to not have to recast FS every time you lvb.

They still need to do much much more for the spec. Trying my hardest in almost full BiS and still falling so far behind a dps DK who is facerolling 9k-10k dps is just stupid.

But every buff is a step in the right direction, this is very very nice for those shammies that aren't at the endgame and don't get the tier bonuses.

I'll stop QQing now lol, hooray for buffs :P

t9 4 piece bonus is amazing 20% bonus to lava burst holy shit I enjoy that. In Pve there are certain class that buff the dmg of other classes. Blood dks putting hysteria on rogues and rogues putting tricks on DKs. Elemental need something like that from some classes in pve.

I have also been thinking about getting glyph of ToW for the new flame shock dots/ crits on my sham that has the ToW

All I want is a melee AOE move for enhancement... good luck you elemental folks.

so basically they just made the glyph free (+6 sec and no consume) so you can get a 'new' glyph (dot crit) - I doubt that will amount to anything like 10% dps boost

I'm with ya there. Enhancement has always been my favorite class/spec. It's viable with superb gear but aside from talented/glyphed Fire Nova Totem, there just isn't much AoE there worth talking about. And spamming that totem will kill your mana, IMO, even with the regen stuff they've added post-3.0.

From WoWwiki and probably not all inclusive
Incapacitates and effects that prevent using TS:

• Rogue: Gouge
• Paladin: Repentance (Talent)
• Druid: Maim
• Engineering gizmo Goblin Rocket Helmet and most bombs and grenades.
• Horned Viking Helmet, a drop from Eric "The Swift", an elite dwarf only killable by Horde characters in Uldaman.
• Plus of course the effects listed in the patch notes

Remember all of these effects break on damage or even make you immune to damage in the case of cyclone, so it's unlikely you will be stuck forever because they can't incapacitate and foucs you at the same time.

Examples of abilities that stun opponents:

• Druid: Bash (Bear Form), Pounce (Cat Form), Starfire(with Celestial Focus);
• Hunter: Intimidation (Talent);
• Mage: Impact (Talent Percentage chance to stun);
• Paladin: Hammer of Justice, Seal of Justice;
• Priest: Blackout (Talent Percentage chance to stun);
• Rogue: Kidney Shot, Cheap Shot;
• Warlock: Shadowfury (Trainable Talent);
• Warrior: Intercept, Charge, Concussion Blow (Talent);

All of the above abilities still allow you to TS while you are under their respective effects.

Overall it seems like it won't change a whole lot, just fixing the spell to work as it should and when it should.

Yea its a total waste. How many times when your EM is on CD do you FS and start casting LvB only to have the player LOS. 4 FS with the dots critting is a total waste.

Well, I noticed grounding totem doesn't absorb death coil from a Dk, I'm not sure if I want it to or not tbh lol. Was just annoyed when i was running from one the other day solo boxing, had grounding totem down and he death coiled me to kill me :(

Just saw these changes on MMO Patch 3.2.2 Notes Update

Shamanism: Your Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning spells gain an additional 3/6/9/12/15% and your Lava Burst gains an additional 4/8/12/16/20% of your bonus damage effects.


Nice buff to Chain Lighting!..... and small 5% bonus to da bolts

dang thats a nice buff right there.. that extra damage will get that annoying "o yeah u got me to 10 health but now ill bubble+instant cast :)"

Needs to be a flat out 20% more dmg to lightning bolt buff given to ele shammies to compete in raid dps. Loving the buffs but it is still so sad to see us fall this far behind after being so equal in naxx.

Even tried dropping magma totem (with another ele shammy in the raid for ToW) and casting in melee range to keep up in dps, but still miserably short.
