Hello,
As the title suggests, since I installed Windows 7, my X-Keys no longer "passes" modified keys (using CTRL, ALT or SHIFT).
Anyone ran into the same issue and has a workaround?
Thanking you in advance.

Is it the USB or PS/2 version you are using?
They are outstanding at customer support when I first got mine I had conflicts with a third party software. They fixed me all up.
I am running the USB X-keys with Win7 with no issues. I am not using it heavily so I will have to check if I am passing any modifiers I am sure I am.
Nothing else Hardware mode should fix you.
I just tried the X-keys Pro USB and Win7 and it works.
Make sure the macro is good. It should be {alt+k} (insert keydown) {alt+k} (insert keyup)
of course the (insert) portion is not literal but a reference to the Insert command in the menu.
While some of my support was over the phone most of it was over email.
Hi everybody,
My name is Rocco and I'm a tech with P.I. Engineering. Right now we are working on Windows 7 support with a new version of MacroWorks. We hope to have something ready in the next couple of months. For now I would recommend using our hardware mode programming option: http://www.piengineering.com/software/hardware.mode.php.
Please note this will depend on the type of firmware you have. If you flip your X-key over and it says “SE” on the back you will need access to a Windows XP to do the initial programming then you can move the X-key to Windows 7.
If it says “MWII” on the back you can use the X-keys Hardware Mode Programming Utility on Windows 7 but be sure to follow the directions in grey on the link above.
If you have any problems you can contact me at tech@xkeys.com
How is that for support! Got to love a company that knows their customer base.
It is funny I actually went from Hardware mode to Software when I transitioned to Win7. Like I said in my earlier post I ended up having to insert key up and down but I am good to go rock solid works like a champ.
I will admit that I am glad I do not have an SE version the work around is not appealing.
Thank you so much that's classy support ;)!
I have a SE and no XP, so I'll wait for your new version of MacroWorks. It's already awesome to know you're working on it. I'll try the insert up down key in the meanwhile.
Thank you all for your help and just hope it served others as well.
Are there any updates of the compability of XKEYS SE and Windows 7. I want to switch to Win 7 as soon as xkeys is supported. So any updates from that side?
Cheers
