i really dont understand why some people get so dam upset about boxing, today at my low levels ive met probably about 30 people who have stopped me and asked me a dump load of questions about how it works is it legal.
none of them for a second said that its so unfair that the possiblities are that i could beat an arena team on my own or solo instances.
responces are always mixed some people really do saw wow you made my day other people get alittle grumpy when the see that you can one shot mobs with 5x starfire, but other than that things are ok.
with alittle investigateing im sure you could work out which shaman team this is possibley ellay just check the battlegroups to find out. But personally i would consider a post like this more rewarding than epics at the end of the day you outskilled that person to the point where they felt that they got raped of their arena points and needed to report it and whine about it on the forum.
we dont ever see boxers posting on the forums saying how unfair it is that 5 actual players beat them, i mean seriously thats not fair thats 5 people controling their characters against just one person. That really inst fair in my books.
i really hope that the whineing doesnt lead to them banning boxing, i personally never think it will go that way instead i really think blizzard will learn that people like to play 3 or more characters and once and implement a method so that they can do this of their own.

remote how do you think 4 or 5 moonkins would do in arena? my guys are currently 23 now, ive just spec'd feral haveing fun boxing melee no problems at all yet, was balance but had serious mana issues.
I'm not sure really. I don't see it being super effective for a multiboxer. I'm not sure how you would deal with fear, specifically. In most of my matches I get AOE feared 6-7 times. For me it is little more than a spell interrupt with all those tremor totems, but it could be devastating for a boxer without that luxury.Quote:

Ya that player was complaining about one of my teams. I'm not sure how I want to approach it, as I would like the general population to understand what dual-boxing is and not to loathe it with a passion.
Dual-boxing definitely does have some huge flaws and the opposing team just simply needs to amplify those weaknesses. His frustration led to their downfall simply because they did not formulate a plan against me.
My Arena ratings are also getting very high in that they may start to raise some eyebrows. I've broken into the Top 20 bracket, with 1 team over 2k rating, and 3 teams over 1900, and I can still push them higher.
The to sum up what I think their perspective is, it would be watching a very skilled athlete perform an amazing feat on TV and it "appears" to be so easy. The same would apply when I dismantle other teams without putting a dent into mine. Every move is calculated, and it just doesn't happen over night I've been doing this for years.
I was somewhat concerned with how the the first blue responded to the Multi-boxing issue,

Multiply Boxing while not common, has been done in many MMO's, and as long as you steer clear of using Third Party Programs to automate the game play it is a perfectly legitimate practice.

That is a paid service, the person running those characters was paid to collect HPs for the owners of those Characters. I bet if Blizz investigated they would find all characters to have different payment info, different emails, different info all togother, so if one person is boxing those Characters, its account sharing... and that is against the rules.

I'll have to disagree with you there, Letum. Could someone use this technique to level up multiple characters for others? Probably.
If they were investigated would we just go "oh they are multiboxing, they are Ok."? Absolutely not. We investigate each botting/powerleveling report we receive fully and believe it or not we actually do look at the simple stuff like account information. Not to mention we look at a great deal of other information in our investigations.
There are a good many legitimate users who actually do own multiple accounts. Why? No idea, I have two myself and barely look at the other account but to each their own. Just because they are using a multiboxing technique does not mean they are powerleveling/sharing or engaging in any other nefarious deed.
If you believe someone is violating our Terms of Use, report it and it will be investigated.

Yesterday i was in Ghostlands soloing the 21 elites and this warrior came up sat next to me, then ran away.
About 2 minutes later i see this long drawn out spill in general chat about how he doesnt appreciate how im cheating and that im going to be banned asap. So, i try to inform him about multiboxing, and tell him its not illegal. And about 20 other people in the zone join the conversation saying how im a cheating bastard and i should go die in a fire... This went on for about 30 minutes
Of the entire zone, there was only one other person who wasnt a complete idiot, Its sad sometimes, people just dont listen to reason.
i have a level 33 shaman could be 34 35 not checked on her in a while on one of the druids accounts do you think it would be best benching a druid for a shaman and force her to go resto purley for the lovely tremor totem? Im a big shaman fan i would quite happily do this, i think my guild leader will get really upset, with how often i chop and change lol but i suppose this would defently help tackle fear also giveing me heroism buff and a 101 spell damage buff and earthshield and with the water shield being turned into 50mp5 would be pretty easy to get dump loads of mp5, and with mana tide totem so so much mana and the 1% spell hit racial, ....... i just realised what a retarded question that was ofc dropping a druid for a shaman is a good idea. :DQuote:

ye but i dont really see the point in haveing a dps shaman with 4 moonkin, aditional 3% crit maybe but then i would probably still have her on healing duties.
see how it goes maybe a 5 man nuke team, the stacking of heal over times is insane so maybe that would be plenty just going to have to see, but for now shaman is one of the team.
5th slot should almost always be a healer, unless this is for PvE and then it's pretty much whatever makes you happy.
i went druids becusae its always being brought up on these forums a moonkin group, its always got me wondering as druid burst is pretty insane, shaman team is apealing but is being done alot i just want to try somthing different same reason i started boxing in the first place.
Im aware that the aruas dont stack the main apeal was a mage in plate, i realise its not quite as simple as that but i really think this could be alot of fun to give it a try and if it fails im sure that 4 druids and 1 shaman wouldnt have much problems with pve, even tho my main goal is pvp, both battleground, arena and also haveing fun at halaa.
i dont really look to dominate arenas, i just wanted a new team thats not really been done before, but if it does dominate arenas i wouldnt complain. :)

That exactly is my main shaman gripe XZin...we druids have to pick and spec heavily into a tree to do one job well. Balance for caster dps(losing most tankability and regen/heal power), Feral for tanking or cat melee dps(losing all usefulness in spells and a mana pool no bigger than 4k'ish, and the armor boost in bear is ONLY while shifted, making us unable to heal or pot or even root/cyclone without going back to 2-3k armor), or Resto(Giving up solo grindability and tankability, though a little less soloability is lost now that +heal adds to +dmg)
Shaman can do all 3 regardless of spec pretty much. Slap Windfury on a strong 2h staff/mace, drop yer totems, do nice dmg shocks/melee dmg all while still having a super fast heal that also heals for a decent amount, also while wearing mail and having the option of shields/block/parry.
And Druids can't pot in bearform because it'd be unfair. HAH. :p
But I digress; we have a seperate thread for shaman/boomkin groupings, this topic is about the uneducated masses in lowbie zones ;)
at 24 i really feel that druids do dish out alot of damage very quickly, alot faster than my warlock team did anyway, or holy smite team for that matter. level 24 im aware things will be different at 70
Im not anywhere saying that moonkin druids are better than elemental shaman, in fact on the eu forums its been posted a few times how much better elemental shaman are compared to moonkin druids in both arena senarios and endgame pve. i just wanted to make a boxing team that wasnt elemental shaman.
i really like the druids for a fair few reasons
-they have instant hots
-they can multi role, not all in one spec but that doesnt stop me collecting more sets of gear and respecing them as i please.
-it will give me a chance to really try melee boxing without a huge time investment i just need to respec them. (all were spec'd feral at 23, useing
/follow focus
/assist focus
/cast Claw
kills pretty much everything before 2nd combo point goes on, i just position the main so that hes on the oposite side to the other 4 druids so they attack from behind and main tanks putting htem all in melee range).
-i know its not as easy to stack resilience on moonkin druids as it is any other caster but they have 16k armor, and this agaisnt my biggest class fears (rogues hunters and warriors) will make a huge difference.
haveing alot of fun so far with this team i already feel its more rewarding than any other combo i have tried, ive not tried 5 shaman yet and it is on my to do list maybe ill give it ago when i have done the druids.

I tried to be friendly about the "What are you doing?" inquiries. Then someone posted in WoW General about this should be illegal etc, using my words almost verbatim from our chat. I directed him to this site, too. Guess he didn't bother to read much.
Now when I hear the chatter, I just say I have 5 computers, and leave it at that.
Shamans have a ton of drawbacks, the #1 piece is non mobility. If you want to be effective you need your totems down, to have your totems properly placed you've consumed 5 precious seconds and your glued to that area, if you want to move you need to re-drop them.
You have 1 main school of magic and no other options. If your tree gets locked you sit there twiddling your thumbs :)
Druids do about the same damage in terms of DPS as an Elemental Shaman for PvE. The reason Shamans shine more in the 5v5 bracket is the controlled burst damage.
A Quad Boomkin setup with a really good healer may work well since their spell casts are much faster (main nuke = 1.5 seconds) and when push comes to shove you can spam out Moonfire till a target drops.

still i think i would trade some something (maybe that stupid chaneled aoe spell, queue people saying "what that healing aoe spell?", no the dammage one...."durids have a challed aoe damage spell"?...yep see pointless spell) for chain lightning but cant have it all :(
totems are pretty impressive things for boxers as they might not move but when you have 16-20 all laid out in nicely looking like a pretty christmas tree. it doesnt fear the wrath of mass dispell and noone is going to spend the time removeing the totems...or do they?
im really excited about giveing boomkins a try now.
As far as getting people on your faction on your side... I'm running a priest/mage/shami and my mate runs a pali/mage combo, if we're out and about questing we'll be herding and grouping most of the mobs in an area then AoE nuking them down.Quote:

Also rez any dead bodies I see while running around.
Usually get a "Thanks", and then we talk a bit and go our separate ways. It breaks it up for me a little and lowers the "ass" ratio that I encounter. :)
