Just wanted to give a heads up, I did some multiboxing last night in Aion and it is pretty smooth. Looks like this will hold me over till FF14 comes out :) Or I get that WoW itch.

wow.. I'm shocked! Can you explain what it is about that botters paradise game that you enjoy so much? I have it loaded on both my PCs but it lost me from the start. I might have missed something maybe. Also, how are you boxing it? Hardware only?
He might be referring to the fact that you can macro everything including delays /w attacks sequences.Quote:

I personally still can't the game to run because of a conflict between GameGuard and my Comodo defense.
not to put words in his mouth, however the games been out in the asian market for over a year now and there are several automation programs from my understandingQuote:

It's pretty much designed to play itself. Macros can be made for 1-touch combat. My I-win Button :

I press 1 once and go through that entire sequence, from engaging my target all the way to looting it. Yeah, you can also auto-target and auto rest.
a quick search (no links in this post though!) did yield several automation apps, that combined with the extensive macro/script system in game along with the grind nature of some aspects of progression leads me personally to believe that this will indeed be a bit of a "botter's paradise"
Thanks Ellay! Hope it works with keyclone too. I know what I have to do, read it on another post and did it :thumbsup:Quote:

Is there a way to launch two aion clients when you only have one license? I'm not talking nonsense  I just want to launch two client up to the login just to check if my keystrokes pass ^^.
Tried to execute twice the launcher, didn't work, copied to another folder, didn't work... Any ideas? Thank you.
Like people have stated above..the scripting/macro system in game allows you to automate things like farming exp/coin ect. Hard for me to get behind a game that is that easy to 'legally" bot. I know other will be ok with it, and have fun! I just don't see that it has anything over WoW.. but i would have to play it until high levels to know for sure..il keep an eye out
Ahh :( I didn't realize it was so friendly to bots. It's just something new with nice polish. It's not a WoW killer by any means.. but it's fun for the time being. As for boxing it, 4 pc's. I'm not sure how well it will run on just 1 especially with trying to pass keystrokes through gameguard.
check out the macros in game Ellay.. they even have soem sample macros made for you that automate a few things hehe
Ya I tried them out, they all didn't work because I'm playing on the chinese client. It's due to the translation issues using the english patch.
Ah well I'm playing it for the pvp which isn't exactly bottable :P welll if you do it's not effective haha.
Gief new game.
I gave AION a chance. Just like Age of Conans, Lord of the Rings, what more crap we have that sucks hard?
(And then when you buy the game they are 65 euro each, then a month later you walk in the same store and its there for 11,95!)
if Blizzard gave us more character customization options i wouldn't even be bothering to look at Aion
at present, WoW has tremendous accessibility, but it still needs customizability/personalization to fully leverage the social networking model that i believe is at the root of its success
no MMO is going to even come close to supplanting WoW until developers take away the lesson that the "MMO" in MMORPG is the key to success rather than the "RPG" which has seen little innovation since the days of pen and paper
i hope that the "next-gen" MMO being developed by Blizzard understands this, otherwise it probably won't even outdo its predecessor
You also have to understand that not all people can afford high end computers that can support high definition graphics. That is where WoW had an advantage because even dual cores can handle WOTLK.
There is so much room for customization in WoW that doesn't push the graphics requirements one bit.Quote:

The north american release of aion has the script or macro functions stripped down and botting is strictly against the rules. You can macro several abilities to run but you cant do some in the same macro and one macro will not trigger a 2nd macro.
i.e. cant target someone in the same macro as attacks . cant auto follow in the same macro you attack or heal in.
I don't understand what the aversion to botting is if a game allows it. Nothing would make me more giddy than being able to make my boxes behave as well as if I were individually conrolling them.
I will never play any game made by NCSoft. My experience with both Lineage and Lineage II is far from an enjoyable one. To say both games were bot paradise is an understatement of the largest proportion.
In all the time I have played WoW I have only seen or rather confirmed 2 bots. In Lineage II in particular there were so many bots that you could not throw a rock without hitting one. I remember this one cave that had a quest I needed to complete. This one high level bot was running a route that I could not get around to complete the quest. To get around being flagged PvP they would hit you once and the bleed effect would kill you. There is nothing worse than watching your life slowly drain away and there is not a damn thing you can do. They will not get my money ever again.
well, there was the whole "Glider" era. I knew many people who Botted BGs for honor
You are right WoW had the Glider era but it just did not seem as prevalent. I am sure my skewed view of botting raised my threshold. There were a fair amount of AFK'ers in WoW BG's but I rarely ever saw a true bot that ran routes, killed mobs and looted them. Nothing obvious at least.
Unless I'm mistaken on the complexity of Glider, wasn't the BG botting problem more an issue of mouse clickers that just repeatedly clicked the 6 or so spot to hit the battle master, queue up, enter, repeat? With a potential variance for following a random player or something.
But botting in WoW is a no-no anyway you look at it. I wouldn't see it as too much of an issue if someone actually developed a game around the concept of writing AI and letting your character play themselves all day.
But then, that is the sort of thing that strikes me as being fun as hell: wiritng behavior, analyzing performance, and adjusting behavior based on that.
pff, botting in WoW is still big in BG's for example and people exping up to 80, see plenty of them.
Reason why Aion gotten a bad botters rep is cause of the Chinese company that runs it, its not NCsoft but some Chinese company that still is in a early patch of the game and simply don't care about botting, the Korean version is better from my understanding and is in the latest patch, dont see it beeing any more bots in Aion then it is in WoW tbh.
I personally have no desire whatsoever to compete for spawns/resources against a character that never logs off, never gets tired, never has a lapse in attention span. I came from games where bots were legal, tolerated or ignored and they are not something I ever want to deal with again. I've seen bot owners hold zones and game economies hostage. I've even seen bots used to camp other players when someone decides to be extremely mean. I fail to see any reason to invest time and money into a game where people who don't play {bots} control everything.
i tryed Aion, at lvl 13 i just thought cba lvling and lerning all the class mecanics again :(
