I voted 3 weeks, although that puts it right around blizzcon and Im not sure if thats a good or bad thing. Probably 4 weeks then =)
I chose 'Who the hell knows' cause I'm betting on the first week of September sometime. Just in time for my birthday :D Sept 4th I'll be 26. Can't wait.
3.2 is bringing out season 7, And they are going to give us a 1 months warning before season 7. So its over a month atleast
I'm with Fur on that one. Also, they just put up part 2 of the background downloader patch data bringing it up to about 380mb total so far. I'm guessing it'll be less than a month out. I would also suspect that they would prefer to have 3.2 live before Blizzcon so they could all go party and enjoy themselves instead of having to worry about both events at the same time.

Speaking of the patch, is anyone else experiencing the background downloader going to about 20% complete and just stopping? I'm at 68/380M or something like that.
My hunters just hit 30 and I'm leveling the "slow route". So it's either 162g now or wait till 3.2 and pay 20g. I'd love to say the gold's not a problem but I don't have it atm without some cross faction transferring which takes a 15% cut. So I'm thinking that I'll manage with 40% aspect of the cheetah for another few weeks. Although... by then, at level 40, I'll need a total of 265g! Epics are worth the 15% cut fee I suppose. 8)
i assume roughly mid to end of september from past experiences with ptrs and major patches.
I just got done with RaF a bit over a week ago. I took a pair of druids all the way to 60 with no mounts at all. Travel form was good enough for them. Sure, they'd have covered the ground a little faster on mounts, but why spend now when it'll be so much cheaper soon enough? Now they're 60 and saving up to get flight as soon as the patch drops. :)Quote:

Now that I think about it, of the 12 toons I have at 60 or higher, only the two highest ones (71 and 74) have anything beyond at 60% mount. The 71 druid has basic flight and the DK has epic flight. (Had to get that Netherwing Drake and Turbo-Charged Flying Machine. :D )
And to stay on topic, I think we'll have the patch by the second week of August. I hope so anyways, as I've got 2 weeks of vacation starting the 8th.

How about actual dates?
1 week = 7/28
2 weeks = 8/4
3 weeks = 8/11
4 weeks = 8/18 (blizzcon week)
5 weeks = 8/25
I vote 2 weeks, or 5 weeks if stuff breaks. They wouldn't release it the same week as blizzcon, and probably not even the week before. So 8/4 gets my vote!
since i have some experiance with how blizz works i know they dont want to have big workloads during blizzcon and other similar events.
They want as many staffmembers and managers as possible to be there.
Even so most of the staff is in europe (and i dont know where blizzcon will be but wasnt the last one in the US not long ago?).
Either way i am confident they wont release it DURING.
but 1-2 weeks before or the week after is what will happen to a high certainty :).

Next week would be good, since I'm slowly working my group towards level 77. I have not bought flying skills or mounts for them because for one thing, I'm not going to be using them in Northrend until 77. And second, I'm not really looking forward to the 60% flying speed. :p Also, since I am leveling via outdoors quests and plan to do every last outdoor quest, I can almost certainly ding 80 before I need to visit Storm Peaks or Icecrown, which means I may not really need a flying mount until well after I ding 80. That plus the savings means I will wait as long as possible for 3.2 before I buy the flying skills and mounts.
The good news is that even if the prices were to stay the same, I still already have enough for the 225 skill, the flying mount, and cold weather flying. :thumbsup:
I have 5 guys who will hit 80 this week, and another 5 that will hit it in around 2 weeks. I have not gotten the flying mounts on any of them, so it will be the day after I buy them. so 3 weeks here.

Originally (back in April) I said August 4th, but now I say Tuesday after Blizzcon (whenver that is)
I suspect they have it planned for next week or the week after, that gives them time to deal with crashing servers and the usual bugstomp and queues before Blizzcon, but have a sliding schedule, that they can and will delay it until after Blizzcon if any issues crop up. They already said that they'd failed the EU server upgrades, which may have changed the release schedule.
I'm betting Icecrown is announced at Blizzcon, released in mid October.
I'm less confident the next expansion will be - but it's a long wait until the next Blizzcon, and I think we'll actually GET the next expansion before then.
I'm betting beta for the next expansion starting this fall, and an early spring release. Icecrown will not be enough content to last a year. 6 months is pushing it, unless Icecrown turns out to be a huge ordeal, like opening the AQ gates, or Magisters Terrace, with server wide efforts, new quests, dungeons, and something that needs to be unlocked to get to Arthas. Even with all of that, 6 months will be a LONG time to have no major patches.
Not sure Ice Crown will be the last content patch.. It might be the next patch that ups the Tier of gear/PvP season, but we still have other dragons to fight in OS, where the heck are they ? heheQuote:
