well it's enough to get ppl interested. unlike videos on youtube of multiboxers owning in pvp/pve, this actually shows a bit of how its done. i'd imagine its going way over ppl's heads, but its enough to hopefully make them want to try it themselves... or at least find out more about it.
Meh, i dont like the guy.
Joke at the end: We just want to oneshot you makes us sound likes noobs that cant kill people with one character.
But the rest, mweh, i prefer reading a guide here how to setup my shit then some annoying accent telling half the shit you need to know in a fast speed.
Trying to say Keyclone payed him off?
Lets launch an investigation on this one!
I have not seen it yet, just thought I mess with Keyclone on that :)
Well at least some people are getting educated on it and we might see some more boxers out there, the only bad part about it is that it might backfire if people start screwing up and get banned for doing something stupid that they thought they could do. Will have to wait and see what happens, since RAF came out more and more people are boxing after this video and all the stuff Turfster has been covering probably have a whole new slew of people wanting to do it also.
If it was paid, why cover octopus, that isn't even being developed? (to my knowledge it wasn't paid)
I think its was a good video. I have often thought about making a video like this myself. And i could care less of if he got paid, good for him! And i hope Rob gets filthy rich! It is America after all! Hell, i think Blizzard should give kick backs to Ellay.. I'm sure he ( and those beginning members who founded this site ) are directly responsible for thousands of additional subscription fees 8)
i think the guy is hilarious and did a great job covering the basics of multiboxing.
I think the poor delivery of content was a means to cover a lot of content quickly, and keep the user from getting lost in all the clicking. I posted this as it highlights some prominent members of our community in a "mainstream" wow news source. I'd do the same if we got plastered in a similar way all over MMO-C.Quote:

What I'm getting at, is this Video wasn't meant for *us*. If you're here...you don't need this dude telling you what processor affinity is, let alone macroing focus. Lets just be happy that people in our community got mentioned.
Its not a mohawk. I have a similar hairstyle.
/derail
The usual trolls added comments pushing the rip off program, as always claiming it does things better without any substance behind it - including some bs like "it's one program that does everything" - really annoying
I often hear it referred to as a fauxhawk.Quote:

Or GTFO imo...

Completely failed to mention that ALL accounts being used MUST be registered under the SAME info/name. Plus didn't mention anything along the lines of setting up multiple folders and using SymLinking before running the games. Correct me if I'm wrong, but does this not only cut down on HDD space, but also pretty much lower the strain on the drive/processors as well? Good starter vid, yes, but he did rush it and this is not something you can learn from by a short vid like that.Quote:

If you expected to see this kind of info in his video, I think you're missing the point. It wasn't by any means a "cover all aspects" video. It was a very generic, quick and dirty here's the lowdown video.Quote:

Oh I know that. But for those that see this video, they might not even think about researching and doing what he says in the vid right off the bat. I'm sure I would've before I came here and read up on the tuts here. There are alot of people out there that still don't know that account sharing is actually bannable. In the beginning, I actually dualboxed with my account and one that a friend gave me to take over when he gave it up. Once I did my homework and found out about the account setup deal, I gave that other account to a cousin that wanted to start playing and bought up new accounts so I wouldn't lose my main one. Anytime I'm ever approached ingame about how I multibox, my first response is usually, 'Make sure any accounts you use are all under the same name first'. Then I direct them here and try to explain what I can to them while playing.Quote:

Prior to this video, my dual-boxing experience was limited to having one toon /follow the other. I found this video good enough to get keyclone setup and running on my system. Of course, I still had a lot of limitations with that setup, but it eventually led me here to learn more on how to get better at dual-boxing. Instead of bashing the guy, you should look at it as getting more people interested in this aspect of the game.
I still suck at multi-boxing, but thanks to that video I am a step better than just /follow and learning about keyclone led me to this forum which contains a wealth of knowledge that will make me better. His video may be overly simplistic, but as they say, every journey begins with one step.
I think the video was great. Showed it to a friend and he instantly jumped on the multi-boxing ball.
What's up! i've been reading the site for awhile. Decided to introduce myself
What's up:) I have been scanning the website for a bit - Needed to join in
Greetings to all!
Somewhere read, that there are phone cards long distance.
Cost low.
I plan to leave for holiday abroad.
If I shall call from usual phone to Panama that should be spent many money.
Explain to me, that it for cards.
Where to buy?
What is up with the spammers getting in here? Sometimes I wish I knew where the spam was coming from so I could go torture the baster that set it up.
... how'd they get in?
Why they are the Kings of Multi-boxers, of course.
/sigh
The video led me here.
As I approached things, I quickly discovered many questions that weren't directly covered in the videos nor in the articles that the videos appear in. (Learn2read is right: the videos come as part of a couple articles.)
Luckily, I have this internet thing at my house (I use something called Google) and it helps you find more information about things. People who think the video is lacking need to get the internet. I even found more videos by others. (I have this thing called YouTube).
I've read through some material here and I'm ready to tackle some multi-way play.
I am left wondering how so many people afford so many accounts, however. (I imagine they have things called "jobs" but yikes 5x monthly charges... er, "WoW").
If you guys really want to help people coming here after watching the videos, then create a post for inbound visitors that says "Hey... welcome: now that you've seen the Turpster vids, check out these links and you'll be set-up" rather than all this "...golly you can't explain this without also mentioning how the Cold War drove innovation that led to the internet and cheap hardware prices... pssshh... Turp left out _so_much_... duh!".
Be sure to include links to genuine mohawk grooming tips.
