I think the 2nd one looks the best.
From the samples you posted, Number 3 comes in better than the others, "natural" colors, not desaturated or overly dark like the other ones.
Not sure what settings your using, but I set wow to 1280x720 res, then innerspace expands the window to around the 1600x900 mark (maintaing 16:9 aspect ratio) since 1280x720 is too small for me to comfortably play with. I set fraps to record 25fps, full resolution with sound, ends up being around 4GB per 3 minutes of raw video to the disk. I then run it through Sony Vegas 9, rendering at 720p, 25fps, WMV (5k), then youtube takes care of the rest. the 7 min ToC video i posted ended up being around 270mb in WMV for just over 7 minutes of 720p, which isn't bad.
Have to agree with Pwnstar on that 3 seems to come out best. 2 was kind of washed out to much brightness so it looks like it has a white filter on it or something.
I just downloaded and installed Vegas 9 so if you have a thread or tutorial on how you do HD videos please tell me. I would like to know abaut it.Quote:

I think 3 is the best but has no sound
the vegas ones are washed out (seems like brightness increased rather than contrast) - in any case I don't think you'd want to change the image

Out of interest, what res is wow running at when you're capturing?
Yah I second the questions as the Video looks like it is stretched or out of sync with the monitor.. like you have a widescreen and have settings to 1280x1024 etc
But other than that.. Nice videos
the resolution through maximizer is 1440x810 for the main window with is recorded
I've not used maximiser before, but does that set the resolution that wow runs at in-game as well as changing the size of the window once wow is running? You can check easily by just going to the video preferences and see what resolution is selected in the drop down list.
The video looks very low res for 1440x810, it should be alot crisper.
When you render in vegas, and select an output format, hit the 'custom' button to the right and check the video tab that its set to 1280x720, and if you're using WMV, set to around 5k bitrate to preserve as much detail as you can on your end before youtube munges it all up. Also make sure that when you create the movie in vegas to begin with, before you add your clips in, it's also set to 1280x720.
Now that you mention it I do recall that I never bothered with in game video preferences. Your tips make me feel like making another HD test but this time I have a freakin idea on whats going on xDQuote:

That test looks substantially better than the others, I think you're on the money with the settings you used to create that.
With those vegas settings, they're almost exactly the same as mine, though on this tab http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/5649/swscantif.png i dont have mine set to 100 Video Smoothness, i have mine around 80, but that wouldnt cause you to lose quality, infact it should be better than mine :)
Maybe do a playtest now and see how the resulting vid comes out.
I think I will... anyway the last video is twinked a bit in VIrtual DUb before putting in Vegas. I gived it more contrast and sharpness, the effect is the best allthough I get the feeling its brightness is bit unnatural.Quote:

They are still proccesing so be paitient. Part 2 is already with HD button but still something dosent feel right.
