um put them on the do not pass list?
Was that a file that was in the folder? The one I deleted? Lol IDK where it is
click setup on the keyclone window and it opens another one. then select the do-not-pass list on the left and then type the keys you dont want passed in there.
Open Keyclone, then click the setup button on the left side of the application.
One of the first few options in Setup is "Do-not-pass". You can click in the box there where it instructs you to, and enter the keys that you do not want passed. My list has gotten pretty big.
W,A,S,D,Q,E,R,RETURN, ESC,N,P,O,I,H,Y,C,V,U
Makes a world of difference.
Or just use the while-list, i.e only keys get passed that you specify.
That's what I did since I personally find that a bit more convenient but whatever floats your boat :)
yeah i didnt wanna confuse him
Alright thanks a lot guys, I'll figure out which buttons I want because I don't like double chatting LOL :D
You know there's an override button, right?Quote:

It stops all broadcasting. Hit it again to enable broadcasting.
I don't have anything at all on my DNP/White lists because it causes pain when I DO want to chat with those characters - I just remember to hit the override button when I want to stop broadcasting.
Wait you broadcast WASD? Are you just not using a keyboard for movement?Quote:

you do have the ability to override the DNP using a hotkey (keyclone/setup/override-settings).
i use that when i want to do a /wave or enter my pword... then i toggle it back on and continue normally
My main uses the mouse for movement.
I don't really strafe often, its pretty quick to right click and turn.
Followers are on auto follow, unless I break it.
I personally like to have a ton of keybinds.
If I were to put all of these keys on do-not-pass, then my play would be a ton less efficient - read worse.
It's all habit really.
And what you want out of the game.
How you have learnt.
I use a Do Not Broadcast key.
It's extremely easy to click do not broadcast, and then type.
My first week or so, messed it up and spammed some people.
Since then, you learn and its automatic without thought.
Keybinds, particularly the left half of the keyboard...
My right hand is on the mouse...
Are very useful for spells etc.
Yes, and no, repsectively (i.e. I do use the keyboard for movement, though only as an exception) :)Quote:

Like Ualaa, I drive whoever's in charge with the mouse, but I often use QWEASD for positioning - in PvP I'm sure I'd be lost without being able to strafe.
QWEASD are all completely unbound on my drones.
I can move and strafe the drones independently with the arrow keys, which are unbound on my regular mains - sometimes /follow just isn't fast enough to get them out of the black pit of death / blizzard.
The only disadvantage is that when the regular main dies and I switch to another one, I have to remember not to try to move them with QWEASD, but since MOST of my movement is done with the mouse and /follow that's not too arduous.
My setup is rooted in the fact that I started out (oh, so long ago now!) hardware boxing, then moved to the original Multibox client/server app. That software was always a bit flakey though, so I eventually moved to Keyclone.
The only KC features I use are key broadcasting, maximizer and affinity setting, and I get by just fine :)
You can use a combination of keys which are bound/unbound, via warcrafts keybindings. Anything you change here for a given account will remain no matter which account you are driving.
You can also add either Do Not Pass blacklist (these keys are not broadcast) or Do Not Pass whitelist (only these keys are broadcast) within Keyclone. In this way, you can control your main with WASD+QE, no matter who your main is at any time, but not have the followers use these keys.
It would be neat, but I don't think you can do this yet. Have the opposite, keys which are broadcast to the slaves that you are not on, but which don't do anything for the toon you're currently controling. Kind of like a reverse black list, which does not apply to the current main, only the slave/followers.
actually, you can do something like this with region based keymaps
link: region based keymaps for formations (stack and diamond)
this way, when you swap regions, your formations continue to work properly, no matter which character is the lead. you also no longer need to tweak the key bindings within wow
does this help?
