FIRE MAGE DPS ROTATION with /click and castsequence

Hallo guys out there!
This is my first post after several months after i've followed all of your great works/posts/tests in general macro and specific class macro..
I have to say thanks and again thanks to all of you and to the admin of the forum.. GO AHEAD! Multibox is sooo great!
I'm here for share my experience and try to give back something good back to you (hopefully) :D

First of all i'm loving the use of /castsequence and /click... was a HUGE boost in my main/alt gameplay style!
I'm growing with passion my 5 Multibox group..
Palatank - 2 Ele Shaman - 1 Fire Mage - 1 Holy Priest on Steamwheedle Cartel PvE (EU) Ally side..
no prob for the pala/shaman macro.. there was other well written posts..
but.. back to the topic.. what about the fire mage Dps macro?
The "quite" TOP dps mage spec in raid with the 21-51-0 spec has no dps macro on these pages..
Here we are with my one :P
My personal version of the spec.. with a fixed eye on surviability (ex. mana restoration instead of torment of the weak)

I'm writing with my babies at lvl 78.. with not all spells and glyph on but... it works right now! ;)

GLYPH
Glyph of Improved scorch (one scorch casted grants 5 application)
Glyph of molten core (20% spirit -> Crit % with the Divine Spirit from the Priest in Party is Honey for my Breakfast) - (the loss of dps with mage armor is huge for me.. and with 2 shaman in party (2 mana totem) the mana regen is quite not a problem)
Glyph of Living Bomb (YES .. the DoT of Living Bomb CAN CRIT! AWESOME Glyph ^^)

MAJOR SPELL
Scorch always active
Living Bomb Up again as soon as it deflagrate - Yes it MUST
Fireball as much as possible
Combustion, Mirror Image, Trinket as soon as they are out of CD
Instant Pyro as soon as the Hot Steak proc.

he Syntax is as follows:

The main button - The BIG BUTTON (i have it in the button #4 on the main bar - on the #3 i have the same type of macro for the 2 shamans)
Put this macro on it
/assist yourtankname
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton1 (assume to click the #1 button on the bottom right action bar - for bartender/dominos etc addon search for the right number)
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton2
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton3
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton4

Spamming this 4 times a sec - WoW will attemp to fire the button 1/2/3/4 on the bottomright bar where we have to place the castsequence macro

MultiBarBottomRightButton1 Macro for Scorch
/stopmacro [channeling]
/castsequence reset=target Scorch,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,
(if the mage is channeling Evocation the macro stop at the first row - i can continue to spam my dps button.. YAY! ;))
(take out or add more "," if your scorch will be Re-apply too erlier or too late.. /// I love the reset and the Re-apply of the scorch and Living Bomb if i change the target)

MultiBarBottomRightButton2 Macro for Living Bomb
/stopmacro [channeling]
/castsequence reset=target Living Bomb,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,,,
/use Mana Sapphire
(The macro will use 1 charge of mana sapphire after the first rotation of Living Bomb.. and try to use it again at every other cicle if is not in CD)

MultiBarBottomRightButton3 for Fireball
/stopmacro [channeling]
/use 13
/use 14
/cast Fireball
(cast Fireball when possible and both trinkets when available)

/click MultiBarBottomRightButton4
/stopmacro [channeling]
/castrandom Mirror Image, Combustion
(this is not properly tested by myself - a friend of mine with this config and a slightly different spec has insert also Icy Veins in this castrandom and has notice "a stop" in this macro without casting nothing else than the first or the second one.. I suggest to put this macro in button 3 and the fireball macro in button 4 and test the effect)

AND finally on the normal bar, on the button#5, leave a place for the INSTANT PYRO macro:
/stopmacro [channeling]
/stopcasting
/cast Pyroblast
(pushing 2 times this macro will the mage stop the cast at the first press and cast the insta pyro at the second press)

SO:
spamming the button #4 your mage will do what is needed
doubleclick on button #5 you will do the istantPyro when needed..

My lvl 77 Mage with (blue/green) fly on 1600 dps alone // 2100 in my multibox party config with 2 shaman (wrath of air totem and totem of wrath active)

A lvl 80 in my guild (a bit slow on click button and move mouse indeed) with this config has pass from 2500 to 3500 dps.. he has all purple from Heroic/naxx10/naxx25

If I may make a few suggestions:

Try changing your main macro to look like this:

/stopmacro [channeling]
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton1
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton2
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton3
/click MultiBarBottomRightButton4
/stopmacro [exists,harm,nodead]
/assist yourtankname

This does two things. First, you don't have to have your channeling condition in each individual macro (personal preference on that). Second, your mage will only acquire a new target if he doesn't already have one. This allows you to switch targets on your tank and have your mage continue to attack his own target. Once the mage's target dies, he will look to your tank for a new target. You can supplement this with a simple /assist macro so that you can force your mage to hop to a new target in case he gets stuck targeting something you don't want him to attack.

Also, try consolidating your fireball and living bomb macros as follows:

/castsequence reset=target ,fireball
/cast living bomb

I was quite happy to discover that living bomb will NOT be cast on the target if the target already has living bomb applied. It will give you the "a more powerful spell is already active" error. Spamming this button will attempt to refresh living bomb every chance it gets.

One last change that you might try would be to consolidate scorch, fireball, and living bomb, all into one macro:

/castsequence reset=target ,scorch,,fireball,,fireball,,fireball,,fireball,,f ireball,,fireball,,fireball,,fireball,,fireball
/cast living bomb

This macro will reapply scorch every 30 seconds. It will attempt to reapply living bomb every time your global cooldown is ready. It is 100% spammable. I use a similar macro with my frostfire spec, and it works quite beautifully.

Hey this is some nice stuff. When I look at this it seems the underlying mechanic is 4 time per second spam...how do you ensure you maintain the spam speed? (Or is there some mechanic I don't know about)?

as i explain on first post - i have a pull macro on button #1 and then

on button#2 - pala dps (consacration/hammer/judgement etc)
on button#3 - shammy dps (fire shock, lava burst, lightining bolt etc)
on button#4 - mage dps (posted above)
on button#5 - mage istantPyro (/stopcasting /cast Pyroblast) ( no need to select a target or reselect a target :D )

so after the pull i spam all 3 button (2+3+4)
if proc HotSteack i press 2+3+5 twice ( first press for stopcasting the second press for cast the pyro)
if the tank has 100k aggro i can save some mana by leaving him just melee and press only the 3+4 (and 5 for pyro).

all is bind to this 4 button so in this way is difficult to loose the 4/5 spam second - there is just 1 sec / GCD delay when i have the hot steack proc
different status if i have to move me and my babies ( yes here i will lost a bit of syncro/time on the macro) but..
better move from a Void Zone and loose the timing on the macro then don't move and die like a noob :thumbup:

Just a quick question.

I'm assuming you're playing either the Paladin (tank) or the Priest (healer), with the 2x Shaman and 1x Mage as macro controlled follower/slaves.

Why do you have the Mage dps and Shaman dps macro's on separate keys? Will there ever be a time, where you want to press 3 (for Shaman click dps sequence) but not press 4 (for Mage click dps sequence)? I'd assume anytime the mage is DPSing, the shaman's will be too.

If you put the mage Big Button (on number 4) and shaman Big Button (on number 4, instead of number 3), pressing 4 on the Main toon will have both sets click their DPS keys at once. I'm assuming you're using a keyboard broadcasting software or are hardware boxing..

Thanks, so I assume you have simply just trained (or timed) that you spam your fingers at that rate.

Consequently, others may be either faster or slower. Guess I'll have to get a backpack with my beer in it and a straw direct to my mouth so I don't stop the spam! :thumbsup:

Indeed i'm playing the Palatank as Master and the 2xSham 1xMage and the DiscPriest (yeah DiscPriest ROCKS!! :thumbup: ) as slaves/followers
I'm a software multiboxer - Keyclone ftw - and since i've started multiboxing one thing was clear for me: more class means more rotation to take care --> more proc to take care etc...
Btw PVE is my goal and it's totally different from PVP.. more class means more versatility --> more buff etc...

For this you are right... if i have to spam a 5XLightning bolt 5xtotem macro 5xLavaburst i can really think to have just one single big button for all my babies..
But in fight where i have 4 different dps macro rotation + 7 different healing macro + 3 different totem macro + 1 proc to take care + 4 different mana consuption to take care etc etc etc etc...

I saw that was useful to be more free to choose which and when i click the dps button..

basically i have A LOT of different situation
Pull - pull macro for the pala
Dps - all 3 button dps pala+shammy+mage
Proc - dps button for pala+shammy and istapyro for the mage
CC - dps button for pala+shammy and sheepmacro for the mage's focus or dps only the pala and hex+sheep macro for shammy/mage
Aggro in combat/high treat from my babies - just the dps macro for the pala to take/build aggro
No aggro problem for the tank - dps macro for shammy+mage for saving pala mana

Yes .. after have spent a LOT of time checking rotation and spam at SW trainer i'm quite syncronize ALL the macro themself and ALL the macro togheter while in group.. i can spam quite regularas a clock :thumbup:
AND YES.. I want to have the Beer's backpack too!!!!! :thumbsup:

--- So Whats the chances of seeing your Macro-cache text files on your shammy and mages? :D I have similar setup but swap out the 5th betwen a shaman mage or druid depending on mood :P
Im having issues with my Shamans and targeting. I dont have a focus system setup so when Tank changes target so do the dps. Considering going to a focus type system but need a lil help in settting up the macros.
Usually its not to big of an issue cause can just spam aoe everything down.. but it just feels a lil messy and not efficient.

it has 361 Characters so which is to big for the normal <255 char Vanilla WOW macros. (but then I use macaroon)
/click can split it up as seen in initial post.

Is there a way to effectively use the Instant Pyroblast (hot Streak) in a macro without pressing a different button ?

btw, since when do you need to press a button twice when using the /stopcasting command ?
