My take so far, nota ben this was after like 3 bgs with a few new and changed macros(Need to get used to every setup)
1. It seems that burst has actually gone up rahter then down, well burst or dps.. Kinda felt my shammies dropping in health faster then normal.
2. New root effect is pretty sweet
I'm gonna mess around with pvp later tonight and see how it goes for me..

My pally burns through mana so fast its like im lvl 10.
I love it really. I got a few upgrades the night before due to hitting 1628 on my 5v5, as well as the new WG gear the next day, so I feel a little stronger. Love this trinkets too... finally have ~2000 spell power without ToW and when I drop ToW, and pop blood fury and the discs, its about 2900 spell power which makes for some nasty lava burst crits.
I've got earthbind on a rotation, but I'm still working that out, because I find that I'm holding off on dropping my earth totems till they get close, in which case sometimes I end up being feared. I might set up a separate CC rotation on another key (if I can find a spare one on my keyboard!) like this:
/castsequence Earthbind Totem,Fire Nova Totem,,
/castsequence Fire Nova Totem,Earthbind Totem,,
/castsequence ,,Earthbind Totem, Fire Nova Totem

Also noticed with elemental mastery, the instant cast gets saved if the target dies, even with travel time considered. I notice when I instant cast LvB, 1-2 shaman still have their instant cast left for my next chain lightning. I'm not sure if it was like this with nature's swiftness (never had it), but it's a good mechanic, better than wasted spells.
@Heyaz - are people still fearing you post 3.1? It seems like that spell has been nerfed into oblivion.
@OP - I haven't done any extensive testing on elites or training dummies post-patch yet, but in my limited world pvp, I felt stronger. I added Exorcism to my paladins rotation, and I'm loving the Silence effect that Avenger's Shield now offers. My Shaman seem to be hitting harder with their lightning bolts as well (again, it may just be me, as I haven't ran any official tests). I too agree that the root effect on the Earthbind totem is a godsend.

Yeah I get feared, but the real issue was fear was not taking a lot of damage before it broke (astral shift is up anyway), but the fact they all my shaman get split up/stuck behind pillars, whatever. I don't see that that has changed.
I'm loving it.
With Earthbind and instacast clothies are not so bold,its back to BC level with just platers and Druids running in,[which is as it should be]
I'm also happy TS works even on silence so BE palas have been getting a hammering from me deliberately.
I was also chain feared by 2 warlocks, but they had to be really crafty and hide from me to get the drop.
Fear is alot better now,for my shammies. :)

saw that... then tested in pvp situation..... had some very "nice" choice words.
I cant remember seeing that in the patch notes, but my healing actually feels alot weaker and staying up in general is harder then before!Quote:

It could be due to theese issues thought:
1. I havent done bgs with my 4 shamans in atleast 2 months (aka people got alot better gear now )
2. There have been lots and lots of premades running after the patch due to server problems, aka it will get better over the next week!
3. I havent updated my glyphs yet..
Im realy not sure what glyphs to go for but the stoneclaw shield getss more tempting each day and a thunderstorm each 9 second would be awsome too.
But what am i suposed to drop in order to get the new glyphs??? :(
Your glyphs should be the +10% lava burst, glyph of Shocking (1 sec off gcd) and last one is up to you but i got glyph of flame shock.Quote:

Shamans got a lot of nice buffs, especially with elemental mastery but there appears to be an undocumented nerf to lava burst. I think each of my guys average lava burst dropped by about 2500 damage which = insta cast lavas are only one shotting decently geared players like 40% of the time :|
i love it...ulduar is nice and hard, and i like being able to switch between tanking and dps'in without having to pay out the ass on gold.
