But if pets are engaged they'll get killed ofcause.

Otherwise its going pretty good... Only time i've wiped is because i get too eager and pull too many mobs..
I need to setup a way to continue fighting if my druidtank get smashed though. As it is now, i have about 5 seconds to get aggro off my healer with the pets or hunters. When it happens i just panic and die lol
Change the pets to gorillas,
they have the very nice AoE stomp.
could be very usefull to controll larger grps!

Just chose it for the charge ability, which i guess it doesnt get until later now. They've changed alot of class mechanics since last i played.
Just got Aimed Shot on the hunters, which i didnt realize they've changed to an instantcast mortalstrike lol, but it adds a considerable amount of dps.
For those interested, hunter macros in instance:
Opener:

Simple really... If you dont have lag, and bows with less than 2.8(ish? havent calc the exact) speed, the spam macro will fit perfectly with no dps loss :)
The speed of your bow does not affect how often you can cast those abilities, they are all instants on the GCD, so will have 1.5secs between them no matter what speed your bow is.
Arcane Shot has a 6 second cooldown, so your macro will get stuck for 6 seconds after casting the first arcane shot, is this intended? Serpent sting has a 15 second duration too, so you are refreshing it a bit early which could cost you additional mana.
Quite a good sequence thinking about it for lower levels, as long as mana isn't an issue. You'll want to add multishot into that rotation when you get it, between those two arcane shots.Code:0.0 - Aimed Shot Fires

7.5 - Second Arcane Shot Fires
9 - Serpent Sting Fires
10.5 sequence starts again.

Bowspeed is for autoattack.
With the opener, i apply target+mark+sting
With the spam, hunter goes: aimed, auto, arcane, auto, arcane, auto, sting / repeat
the spam macro finish exactly when aimed shot cd is up. if i get lag sting wont have time to cast before aimed cd is up though, but i normally dont.
Auot-shot is completely unlinked from other shots now, so it just keeps firing in the background even while you are casting other shots. Auto-shot will just go off when its ready.

Hey you might try a Bear pet. They get a nice AOE swipe that helps them grab mobs. 3-4 bear pets would be nice aoe dmg/threat
Is this not fixed by turning off the Auto-Shot/Auto-attack interface option? This is the option which automatically switches you to auto-attacking when a mob gets to close for auto-shot. This bug used to cause many issues when raiding, but turning this option off fixed it.Quote:

Confirmed. Turning off the Autoattack/Autoshot in the interface options fixed the hunter random attack bug :)
Also just learned that Aimed Shot and Multi-Shot shares cooldown, so now im trying to figure out if its possible to set a variable swich in macros to set my hunter in either "AoE" or "Single" mode, so i can continue my current setup where i have bound the shotmacro to every key i use on my tank. Havent really looked into the rules and limitation on lua in that context.
Other updates:
Farmed BFD 6-7 times to get the bow inthere, but it didnt drop a single time.

Also just finished Gnomeregan just for kicks. Got 5 pieces of awesome loot for my priest that i cant use for another 3 levels hehe. That instance is a pain in the butt though lol, managed to wipe a few times while afk.

Then next up is Stockcade for quests, then ill probably do the two Razorfens a time or two, and then move on to farm scarlet for abit.
The combo is showing to be awesome so far. I dont have any problems at all keeping my bear tank up, even against orange bosses. And hunters singletarget dps is just amazing, and thats despite the fact that they have very crappy bows still. I somewhat have a problem with large groups of mobs (7+), bear tank isnt exactly perfect at AE tanking and hunters is obviously focused on single target. But on boss fights, they seriously blow stuff up.
Enjoying the team, and will most likely level to 80.

edit: Gonna try either a gorillas or bears for the AE thingy when i get to scarlet, and see how much DPS drop is compared to the benifit of having them blast alot of mobs.

The AE-Tanking as a feral is not so easy, but with the Glyph that Maul hits two targets and a the talent that swipe does more damage its realy doable!
Just keep the mobs in front of you - you can also do quite nice AoE Damage with hunters, if you use volley (dont know when you learn it - around level 40)
Till 3.1 Gorillas are the best AoE Pets, after the patch, bears are better, because they can train the Thunderstomp and they also have a swipe-like attack!
I am jealous of 5boxing cant justify the monthly cost so im only doing duos.
I really enjoy my pally for the aoe tanking using http://thottbot.com/s31789 http://thottbot.com/s26573 and http://thottbot.com/s25780 helps keep mobs off druid and on my pally might be an idea not sure how well druids do at aoe tanking unless hunter pets can hold aoe aggro that well no idea.
