So easy, I three manned him with pre-heroic gear
Prot Pally, BM Hunter and Resto Shaman
If you don't get unlucky with badly timed quakes (i.e. you can't get everyone topped off), this guy is a Emblem vending machine. Ok, it is just 1 a day but my partner who dual boxes to fill out our 5 man team isn't always on so I needed a challenge.
If you're just starting out in heroics, this guy is where you want to start.
But also keep in mind on top of that that the snake boss is quite easy (as easy as moorabi) if you position your characters properly, and the elemental boss is quite easy if you're running 4 shamans because of healing stream totems and nature resist totem. :)
I wouldn't necessarily call Moorabi cake, unless you just severely outgear him. I've gotten to where I can kill the elemental and snake easier than Moorabi. I can kill him pretty regularly, but if I'm going to wipe it's usually on him. I would think a heroic geared 3 man would be a tough one on him.Quote:

I'm now able to kill sladrah before I even see any snakes - bloodlust + trinket/etc just before I have the snake boss around the corner and I can drop him in like 17 seconds :D
Of course they are, now, but yes even the first time I fought this boss (who was the first heroic boss I ever attempted) I beat him fairly easily. I did use magmas at the time but this was also when magmas sucked (pre 3.0.8 or whatever). Anyway, yes this boss is easy but it really all depends on positioning your shamans correctly.Quote:

Sladrah and Moorabi are both cake for me. 3X mage, priest heals, druid tank. Granted I'm doing over 5k DPS with barely half heroic epics / half crafted PvP blues on my arcane mages.
The elemental boss is hell for me though. Priest can heal the AoE just fine but my tank has trouble getting aggro on form changes because I'm too lazy to use separate buttons for my tank / dps / heal macros on that team.
Easy way to do that is just mouse click your macros instead of mashing buttons. That way your tank can get aggro while everyone else just chills. Moorabi is the first boss I downed with my 4 Dk, 1 druid team when they were severely undergeared. As long as you survive quake and can get your tank back up in health its easy. Now that snake boss is hell on melee only dps groups. The elemental boss that gave my shaman group a run for its money was pretty easy on my DKs. Of course the last boss is ridiculously hard with a melee only team.... ;(
I got Sladrah down to 20% with three-manning him. He will go down tonight! Him and all his snakes can DIAPN® (die in a poison nova)
Wow, interesting that you could get that far. His snakes usually "wrap" my tank and then its only a matter of time before he loses aggro and then starts gibbing my healer and dps. ;(
theres a simple trick to snake boss, i used to do it all the time. go kill the elemental boss first (go via snake boss but dont kill snake boss). make sure all the trash is cleared between the elemental guy and snake guy. Position your team (except tank) in front of the altar by elemental guy. Now go aggro the snake boss with your tank and run like hell to your team (if you are a pally you can bubble, dont have earth shield up though so pally keeps aggro).
When you fight him at the elemental guy you can usually kill him before a snake even makes its way to your team. This is similar to the strat of fighting him up the stairs, but for whatever reason I found it easier to fight him at the elemental boss. You will also get the achievement for not getting wrapped.

Even without the sham team, if I put everyone up on the ramp and pull him to the doorway we've been able to consistently kill him before anyone gets wrapped. That's the way I started killing him, which worked out fairly well even starting out when my sham were struggling to hit 1500dps under bloodlust (now the kills look more like what Hachoo describes) - I know for my guild, when they tried to do it with 2 healers, a tank and 2 sub-geared dps they were overrun every time, so there is likely a DPS threshold to pull this off. Sadly I don't really have a group-dps number offhand for dropping him before the snakes become an issue.

I don't know about the elemental room but I was able to three man him by pulling him up to the zone-in. I had to throw everything at him to get him down before the snakes came (which they eventually did and wiped me just after the boss died). I had my shaman throwing lightning bolts in between heals, had flasks, stat food, and blew every cooldown I could and it was just enough dps to do it.
(EDIT: I also respected my pally to pick up improved blessing of might and heart of the crusader)
I thought I was going to be slick and be able to pull the stone boss too. I jumped in the water and swam over to the little island in the middle with the stairs. After dodging the uber crazy fish and having to rez my shaman I set up to pull boss down the stairs. WHOOPS! All the mobs in the circle area on the other side of the boss aggroed and WTFPWND my group. I may try going through the trash and giving this guy an attempt just for the sake of it.
There's no way I'm doing Eck however. I wasn't even close when I hit the enrage timer.
Eck has an enrage timer? Wow, I've killed him like 60 times and didn't even know about this. When does it go off? I think my first kill on him was probably 1 minute or so but now I have him down to about 17 seconds.
I haven't done heroics in a few weeks but unless they slipped in a hotfix after 3.09 none of the Gundrak bosses are leashed, you can run around all over the place with them. I'll be running them again this weekend or next week in marathons to get my DK geared up so will letcha know.
Eck has a hard enrage of something like a minute, I was once trying to get everyone sprayed for the achievement (kill last boss with eck gunk still on you) and he suddenly enraged after like a minute and 1 shotted everyone. So yeah, you don't want to waste time on that boss, just go all out from the get go.
Eck has a double enrage timer. Eck Berserk is likely what he's talking about: Increases his attack speed by 150% and all damage he deals by 500%. This triggers approximately 60-90 seconds into the fight, and almost guarantees a wipe unless he is on the very last of his health. -wowwikiQuote:

I successful three-manned Drakkari Colossus / Elemental last night after many many wipes and messing with healing rotation. Here is what I did:
Phase 1 - Colossus Phase: I simply used autoshot and pet attack to do dps and just spot healed the tank as needed. This allowed me to conserve mana for the later phases
Phase 2 - Elemental: I moved my tank closer to my slaves and formed a tight triangle: spread out enough to keep everyone in chain heal range but out of range of each others ground debuff. I did not move my toons a single bit. I changed my healing rotation to use a /click method where I would randomly cast a chain heal on either the tank or my shaman. This was more than enough to keep everyone's health up through the group damage. I tried it with spamming chain heals just on tank and a try where I spammed chain heals on my healer and neither would work. The random target was what did it. I then went balls-to-walls on dps during this phase.
Phase 3 - back to Colossus: Tank grabbed aggro and again, i just used auto shot and pet attack while I healed up and got back up to full mana. I think at the start of this phase I nudged my toons a step or two to get out of the aoe damage.
Phase 4 - final phase: Moved back into the triangle formation, popped heroism, blew trinkets and all cooldowns and wtfpwn'ed the elemental until he was dead.
The snake boss is pretty much a tank and spank fight, i even frapsed the wrap achivment with my crappy gear.
The very first time I think I got lucky and had a string of major crits. It then took me 3 or 4 more tries to get him down after that. He "goes berserk", then "Increasingly berserk", then something like "Totally berserk (forget what it says)". If you don't have him to 5% or so, that Totally Berserk part will probably wipe you. I usually get him dead about the time he goes "Berserk" now. Plus, I found an improvement over Hachoo's video. Instead of standing against the wall, go inside that tunnel and back your DPS all the way against the wall. He can't get behind or beside you, so you do *NOT have to worry about them not casting when he leaps.Quote:

He can't get behind my shamans where I have them situated either. I've killed Eck at least 40 times and my shamans have never been unable to cast due to where he leaps. The trick is bunching them into the corner so no matter where he jumps they'll always be facing him slightly.Quote:

yeah the corner in Hachoo's video is good, as are a few other corners - just need the casters all the way against the wall and they don't need to move.
In my probably 6 kills of the snake boss and probably 20 wipes, the adds have never been the problem. My pally seems to pick most of them up at the base of the stairs and those that get through just don't do enough damage to my party to be a factor. Its usually me missing a poison burst from the boss that burns my pretty weak tank down or a wrap and my failure to switch to the super macro that targets the wrap and dps's it away.
He's actually a very easy encounter imho.
This boss is cake if you have interrupts, otherwise this boss can be a @$^# of epic proportions.
Normally I one-shot this boss but tonight I wiped 5 times on him. Only my warrior can interrupt his transformation, and the cooldown is too long on my shield bash for me to interrupt him more than twice. The third time he WILL transform and he will begin doing some serious damage. Coupled with the fact that the rest of my group is in cloth, his ground tremors hit them for 9k. This means two ground tremors and they're at approximately 1k health. Considering he can do this 3 times in about 10-15 seconds (if you're unlucky) he can wipe my group pretty quickly.
And no, felhunters can' spell lock him for some reason -- the transformation can't be interrupted by their spell lock.
Funny thing is he wastes most of his attack time puking and hopping around, so keep going if you hit enrage as you might get no melee attacks for like 10 secs.
I beat Moorabi last night. Personal best getting three bosses down. Tried the final boss once and wiped. Getting closer.
My only challenge with Moorabi is keeping the supporting guys alive from AE damage. (60 yard radius, btw, so can't outrange from what I've read) I macro'd a /use fel healthstone, /use runic healing potion to help my priest's AE and keep the supporting crew alive while my priest focuses on the tank.
Worked like a charm.
When i first started doing heroics and was serverly undergeared I would just position all my guys by the entrance (up on top of the stairs) and use my pally tank to pull snake boss up there. Just gives you a lil more time to dps him down before those lil nasty snakes get to you =D
